We liked that we were dealing with the owner and that he would be doing much, but not all of the work. The general work went well, especially some challenges involving the unevenness of the original ceiling areas. However, we did have some disappointments, where fixing problems was concerned. In the case of one wall, which was severely bowed, Mike did come repeatedly to ''float it out'' and make minor adjustment, but it just never got any better. Once, I sensed he had reached the limits of his ability, I just paid him and then, I hired someone else to fix this and an arch problem. In both the problem areas, it took many hours and much adjustment, at extra cost to me. In the case of the wall, the whole thing had to be removed at the edge, and a new corner bead installed, then everything finished all over again. In the case of the arch in the powder room, that was so off, it was amazing to see, once a template was created and put over the existing drywall. Everything looks great now.
