We weren't home at the time but the tree was removed without any issues. They hauled away the debris without incident even though there was quite a bit of snow on the ground and getting to the back was a bit difficult. The appointment set-up went smoothly and we agreed upon a suitable date without a problem. The work was done on the date promised and payment was made. We appreciated the flexibility that Hayden's provided us particularly because we could not be home at the time of the tree removal. We trust this company and have done business with them in the past. They do a good job and provide a fair price compared with their competition.

Hayden's Ridge was one of eight tree services I had provide me estimates on removal of several trees and bushes from around my house. Hayden's was by far the best price, humdres of dollars chealer than most and approximately 1/3 the price of a large tree company we had used in the past. In addition to being the best priced, Hayden's also included in its bid the raking back of the decerative rock around the trees, while most of the others required us to do it or it would be an extra charge. Hayden's got the work done quickly and did such a great jub cleaning up, including raking back the rock, that I could not tell that there had ever been trees and bushes there. I later had Hayden's come back to trim a few trees and he again did an oustanding job, he even removed a branch I asked about after the initial bid without increasing the charge. Overall, excellent service that I highly recommend and will use again.

It went great! First point of contact was with a woman at the office (I can't remember her name). She was friendly, professional and helpful. Tony got back to me quickly and came out to give us an estimate ( on a Saturday!). He was also friendly, professional and helpful and very clear about the steps to getting the job done...no curve balls. He gave us an estimate to take down an ash tree, trim four trees and remove seven shrubs. His quote seemed straightforward and reasonable. We had a huge ash tree in our backyard that he thought was infected with emerald ash borer. He called the city of Mpls himself to see how to proceed with disposal of the tree. He also scheduled temporary disconnection with the utilities for the day of service. It was nice he did this as it seems like it is something that could be pushed on the homeowner to do. He scheduled the date and time to do the work and his crew showed up on time and diligently got all the work done. I actually think our yard looked cleaner when they left then when they showed up! He set a date to come back for stump removal. The date happened to be crummy weather and he called me to reschedule. Showed up the next day and removed the stumps and cleaned up again. We were very impressed with the work Tony and his crew did! And also we were impressed with the communication. My husband and I are relatively new homeowners and had never had exterior work done on this scale and Tony was patient and helpful in explaining all steps of tree removal and trimming. It was a great learning experience for us! Definitely recommend and would definitely use Hayden's again!!

I found out about them on Angie's List and took advantage of the 50% off discount offered. I called, and I got a response within 24 hours. A day later, Mark or Chris (sorry, I forgot which one) came out and took a look at the situation and gave us advice about 2 other trees in the yard. Both my husband and I were very pleased that the gentleman was so knowledgable. We scheduled for them to come and do the work a couple of days later. On the appointed day, they showed up with a friendly, yet professional crew, did the job safely and well. Then, they cleaned up and were out to the next job. All in all, we were very pleased and we would highly recommend them.

Tony is a good communicator and very professional. He helped us decide which would be the best trees to keep and ones to remove. He also explained the safest time to prune the trees to prevent disease. He called to let us know when he was going to be out to see if that would work for us. He came on the day he said, did the job he said he would do and left no trace. He did a great job and we are very happy with how everything looks. Our neighbor wants to hire hime back to do more work. Tony is a man of good character and very easy to work with. We would hire him again.!

They provided excellent service. Cannot even tell where the original stumps were. Excellent job.

Tony gave us a clear estimate for the work we needed done. I was a little confused about getting the service scheduled, but Tony called the day before the service was done as expected. They trimmed our pear tree per our discussion and he also asked how many feet we wanted removed from the tree. They took care of the broken branch on our oak tree as well. Everything was cleared and cleaned up as I had hoped as well.

The tree had lost major branches over the years and had rotted and needed to be removed. I can't remember when I have been so impressed with a company on the fairness of the cost, promptness of giving us a quote and the on time schedule for removal of the tree. The guys were friendly and very professional in the work. They had all the necessary equipment needed for the job. The stump was ground down and all debris hauled away. They even used a blower to blow out small debris and scooped up to haul away. A neighbor so impressed ask them to trim her tree, they decided they had the time and did it at the same time. She was very impressed with the company while watching the removal of our tree. I would highly recommend this company for any job especially those large trees that have been in the ground for 50 years as ours had that need really professional people to do the job with the right equipment. A pleasure to do business with them!

He's very professional. He was very neat. They cleaned up the job site even though there was a bunch of snow on the ground.

Everything was excellent. They showed up early, and the contractors were very knowledgeable about the best way to proceed. They cleaned up VERY well, and even shoveled my sidewalk.

They pruned a large ash and maple tree, removed an 8' cedar tree, removed a large bush of some sort, removed two other small bushes, and ground 4 stumps. It all happened while I was work and they simply left the bill in the door. I was impressed by their work and will consider them for future work.

This was my second time using Hayden's Ridge, and it went as smooth as before. In 2012, I used them based on Angie's List reviews and received an estimate. Another company wanted to charged twice what Hayden's was going to charge me. Their clean-up is always great, and they give a good timeline to come back and grind any stumps.

"Tony" came the day after my daughter called him, to give her an estimate. He was the first person on the scene. He was friendly and polite and answered all her questions. She had 2-3 more estimates and even though it was a bit highly priced (more than what she had wanted to spend, hence the "B" rating above for price), it was the lowest price she received. Tony was VERY responsive to all questions before the day via email and voicemail. His company came on the morning of March 17, 2014 and was done by afternoon. They cleaned up all debris and the tree is no longer there. The stump remains for now, but it looks a ton better. Afterwards, Tony even made a courtesy call to her to make sure the job was well done and to see if she had any remaining concerns or questions. My daughter was extremely pleased with this company and gives them an A+!

Let me first say that the young men who came out and did the work were polite, professional and doing what Tony had told them to do. So this dissatisfied review is reflecting our interaction with Tony Hayden and not these young men. The experience was maddening and we should not have even purchased the coupon because the $200 worth of tree service was NOT clearly defined. This was frustrating in discussing with Tony on the phone and again in person when he came out to give an estimate. On the phone I asked him numerous times and ways to define $200 worth of work (which we were getting for $99.00). He said every job was different, it just depended, etc. I suggested he give me some examples of what they have done for that price or quantify it in time (ex. that's a hour worth of work, 2 hours, etc.) He could not give/would not give a single example of what that really meant. It was the same circular conversation with my husband and I when he came out to give an estimate. We told him we've had people out last year who cut down entire trees for $150-200 and they were far larger than the tree we were asking him to trim. My reasonable, even-keeled husband was exasperated and finally asked him what he COULD DO for the $99 coupon (of $200 worth of service). He said he could trim our little tree and leave the branches behind for us to take care of. So, that's what we agreed to & that what they did. 11 minutes of chain saw time. 35 minutes and 21 seconds of actual time at our place. (I did time them because I was very curious how long it would take them.) I am usually pretty easy going/reasonable, but given the exchanges with Tony I was very apprehensive about all of it. We had a number of tree services out last summer for estimating/etc. and each of them were very clear about their cost/services and were more reasonable in what you get for your money. We will not be using them again, nor would we recommend them.

I liked that they are very responsive. I call and tell them what I need done. If Tony needs to come out and look so that he gives you an accurate estimate, he does that prior to setting an appointment. If you want, then make an appointment. They are on time. They do a good job. They have a large crew so it does not take them very long. They are very good at cleaning up. You can hardly tell they had been here afterwards. I also had trees that were about to split and so Tony put cables in them to prevent that. In cold weather the gaps opened up quite a bit it and I was concerned that maybe it was going to fail so I asked him to take a look at it. He came out within a couple of days in the dead of winter, looked at it, and gave me his opinion at no charge. So, his follow-up is really good.

I wasn't in town when they did the job. They did call before they came, and we discussed which trees needed work. When I came home everything was done as I'd hoped. The trees look good and everything's cleaned up.

I wanted my oak tree to be trimmed, but it can only be done during the winter.The estimate that I got from them was 3x higher than any other company. They left an estimate in the door. I had used them in the past, and they weren't that pricey before so their prices have gone up.

They came punctually as scheduled. They cleaned up and did a very good job being careful to not drop limbs on the house or other things in the yard. They had 3 tree climbers that would lower the cut branches to the ground. I was very comfortable with the price. They were professional, efficient, and very nice to work with. I will definitely use them again.

we paid$100 for the tree service to come out, give an over priced estimate, and do nothing but take our $100. we will not be using angie's list in the future for deals, only reviews and do not plan to renew the membership upon expiration. A complete rip off and scam!

Tony Hayden came, gave estimate and the estimate for services desired exceeded my expectation and that of another service provider found locally.

I couldn't be happier. I had left 2 messages with another tree service that had previously done work for us and never even got a call back. Tony was very responsive, he called when he said he would, came out for the estimate when he said he would, and his crew arrived when they were scheduled. They did the work, carefully working around our property and cleaned up everything. They had to work in very deep snow. Tony talked to me after the work was done, and we discussed what might be needed in the future. I will definitely be calling him again.

WONDERFUL. Professional, on time, great job trimming and EXCELLENT clean up. We are waiting to see how the trees will bloom out this spring. I would highly recommend and use this company in the future.

Tony was very flexible with our schedule. After a couple of reschedules because of weather, the team of 4 arrived on time and did an excellent job. They cleaned up so well you never would have known they were here. We would definitely recommend them in the future.
