Very quick and Brad was professional and polite. Was expecting to spend a couple hundred on the repair but only cost $99.

Description of Work: We wanted to move our dishwasher and also fix some odd plumbing under the sink. Jim's was prompt about coming out to actually see what was needed to be done and then provide an estimate. We were then able to schedule the work so it fit with the kitchen remodel.

I recall that he job took 15 minutes (however, since there is a huge discrepancy in time I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say it took 30 minutes). The plumber was professional and quick since it was a simple job. The hot and cold water lever was difficult to turn and the plumber said the shower valve cartridge was bad so he first turned off the water then popped out the old one and put in the new one. Another tub had a bad diverter bathtub spout (the part that tub water comes out). No need to turn off water. Just unscrewed one and put in another. When I got the bill they charged me $135 in labor which amounted to one hour and 20 minutes time. Long story short, I paid them first then asked questions. I can't prove that I was overcharged, but I can let others know about what happened to me.
Description of Work: replaced diverter bathtub spout and install a new shower valve cartridge.

I have trouble with the pilot light in the boiler. This house was built in 2005 and we moved in here in 2006. This has a 10-year warranty on it, there is a label on the boiler. When I called Jim’s Plumbing I said it was under warranty and he came here, and he looked at it and went back and said no. He said that the boiler was installed in 2000. The house wasn't built that time so their record keeping is not very good at all. I got in touch with the manufacturer of this and they told me that it was a 2000 model. I told Jim’s Plumbing that they must have a record that they put in an old model in this brand new house and they said it’s out of warranty. He came back, he fixed the problem, he charged me $150 for the part, and he fixed it. He did good work. It is still working. He is an average plumber and the price was also average. I would use him again.
Description of Work: Jim's Plumbing came out last year and fixed the problem with the pilot light on my boiler that they installed in 2005.

He's good. We called Jim's Plumbing and a woman answered. She was going to send someone out the next day. We told her that we had to have them that day. She was not being cooperative so I asked to talk to Jim. I told him what the problem was and he said he would send somebody out right away. I told him about the woman and he said that he would talk to her because she didn't understand. He's wonderful. He knew there was a problem and he did something about it. He and his workers have done a lot of work for us. Jim personally has never done any work for us but he has a lot of workers that have done work for us. The price was what we expected to pay. We have recommended them and we will absolutely use them again.
Description of Work: We used Jim's Plumbing to put in a shut off valve in back of our clothes washer so that if we are gone, we can flip the switch in case a hose would break we wouldn't have a flood. We last used them because we had the tile replaced and that company had to move the washing machine so we flipped that lever over and it didn't work. It didn't shut off the water so they were not able to disconnect the washer without going into the basement to shut off the water. They couldn't do that because they needed water to mix the stuff for the tile.

We just bought the duplex in Appleton and our "diamond in the rough" needed a variety of plumbing jobs to update everything. "Randy" the plumber from Jim's plumbing that we "request" is very professional yet easy-going and friendly. Best of all, he does a great job...no leaks! He's a wealth of plumbing knowledge as I often have questions. The company is very prompt and I usually get an appointment within a couple of days (non-emergency service). Have not had a plumbing "emergency" yet. I've even called the company and asked Randy to give me a call when he got a chance with plumbing questions. He's always very prompt to return my calls and to answer my questions.
Description of Work: This was the "big" job in which they replaced all cut-off valves in 2 units of duplex, water heater, tub/shower faucet and drain, sump pump, sill faucets, and Delta 1700 series tub/shower faucet. Please note: Jim's Plumbing has done several other plumbing jobs in both duplex units since the big one. They did plumbing for two new dishwashers we added to each duplex and they installed another toilet.
