I think his quote was high that is why I did not pursue any further than that. They did not come out to the house. I talked to about six different guys because I wanted to get a ballpark figure and if they were priced right, I got three guys actually come over and he was one that I don't think I had come over. I received a quote about $1000 or $1500 higher than thee of the other six quotes for the same work. He is the one I believe I just talked to on the phone. He was fine on the phone it was just that his price was high. He called back the next day so I talked to him in the afternoon once I got off of work and I believed he called back the very next day so he responded real quick too. He told me what I wanted to know. He said what kind of roof he was going to use, shingles that was going to be used as well as went over my head and narrowed out what I wanted. He was one that I liked but it just seems that he was priced a little high.

They are real good, I took about 4-5 different contractors that were on Angie's List and I went with a different company because they were a little closer to where I was having the work done. They were very good, very compatible in price, the people were very generous and kind. They were informational and knew what they were talking about. The only thing was they were hitting me with a travel cost because I was 80 miles from their base. They were very punctual, professional and quick to respond. Next year I am going to be using them.

Excellent sales person (Jake) who responded very quickly to many questions. However, once the contract was signed, there was very little communication. I am not sure if Jake is still with the company, as part way through the job, communication seemed to shift to Justin, the president. The job started later than expected, partially due to weather. Once I finally got an answer as to when the job would begin, I was told it would take 3 days. Six days later, they were finally leaving. Instead of a large crew, there was only a crew of one or two. I imagine this is why it took longer but I was not given an explanation. I assume the roof is a good roof but no one ever walked around with me after the job was complete. The insulation was blown in the attic but the workman covered the attic access door and someone needed to go back in and clean off the door after I requested it. That included customer involvement of hitting the door continuously until the worker could find the door from above. The gutter guards appeared to be installed slopplily or incorrectly as reported by the customer which resulted in someone coming back and riveting the guards to the gutter. I am not convinced that is the correct way to fix the problems but I have not received answers back to 2 inquiries. The electrical box installation was done by an electrician that was contracted by Elite. I am not pleased with the large box that is now in my living room but I don't know what to do about it. I give the company are rating of "good" because their service and information prior to the job was excellent. Their workmanship is most likely an average and I would rate their communication after the job started as an average or poor, resulting in an overall average of good. As stated earlier, it seemed that communication broke down once the contract was signed. I wouldn't necessarily use this company again, only because of the lack of communication once the contract was signed.

They are pricey but you get what you pay for. They are very detailed.

They were very nice people. They were very professional. They were very polite. I would use them in the future.

They were very thorough and conscientious, but they did not do the work. The estimate was for $30,000. It was a little higher than that of the other contractors. As a result we went with a different contractor.

We were very pleased. Their quote was close to the final cost. They listened to us and paid a lot of attention to the small details. They came back after the job was complete to make sure everything was cleaned up very well. We have a small son so that was important to us.

Here is a copy of an email I sent to Elite after they came to my house. Hi Justin, . Your company sent a representative to my house to bid on my window, door and siding project. I believe it was Jake? Maybe I am wrong. I had already sent you an email informing you that I had chosen a different contractor. The email was through Servicemagic and was a automated response that all of the contractors that I had dealt with received. I just wanted to let you know that it was refreshing to have such a honest salesman bidding on my work. Not once did he talk down any other contractors work or products. He was there to work on what he was offering. When I told him that I would remove some of the decking boards off my deck to make room for the siding, he was one of the only contractors to offer taking it off for me, telling me not to worry about it and that he would take care of it. I got the impression that it was not going to labeled as an extra. He was very informative and polite. When it came to measuring the windows inside the house, he took great care that the end of his tape would not bang into the wall or counters. It may not sound like much but I noticed his care for my house. I apologize that he was not given the chance to offer his proposal. I went with the other contractor due to the product they showed me and because of the property that they escorted me to. Your company only suffered because of the order in which Servicemagic listed the possible contractors. I feel that you have a great employee working for you. Hang on to him. I will put in a good report to Servicemagic, Angies List and the Better Business Bureau about Elite. That is the least that I can due for time he took with us. They arrived on time. They removed the old roof. They put on the new roof. They completely cleaned up all of the mess. The job was done from start to finish in a timely manner.
