Description of Work: We had a very old crank-out window that was not operable. We tried several places and were told that parts for that window were probably no longer made. However, Character Improvements were able to come and replace the mechanism at a very reasonable price.

Description of Work: Our home was for sale and had a few minor items that had to be taken care of from the relocation company's home inspection. The work included filling some holes in the exterior siding and repainting, installing a carbon monoxide detector and an electrical cover plate. We were on a time crunch b/c of the move. Kevin worked us into his schedule and got everything done for us at a very reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.

Description of Work: Had upstairs full bathroom remodel, new railing, solar tubes, painting. Three years earlier, had entire Kitchen remodeled. Character Improvements are great contractors, very timely in finishing the task at hand. Very friendly group of guys to work with. Total trustworthy. We would allow them to work in our house unsupervised (just watch your ice cream treats..LOL-Kidfding) I would highly recommend them to anyone intrested in any type of interior remodeling. They will give you a fair estimation of the work rquest and give you an honest answer about when they could complete the job.

roof snow removal
 + -1 moreCalled Steve after the huge snowstorm to clear off snow and ice from home roof. Call was returned later that day, which I appreciated, given his other committments on day of storm. Service was performed the following day. Snow was raked off roof, icicles removed. Also removed snow and ice from front walk/door area where it fell. Good service and good value.
Description of Work: Snow and ice removal on roof after massive snowstorm.

replacement windows, skylights
 + 0 moreIt went very well. I had called them for an estimate. They came out when we weren't home and fixed the windows at no charge. We even called and left a message for them to charge us, but we never got billed. We were very surprised.

 + 1 moreSteve and one other worker arrived after calling ahead and proceeded to work as had been outlined in the original quote provided approximately one month earlier. The work was finished in about the time estimated. The completed work was inspected by me prior to payment per Steve's request.
Description of Work: Removed & replaced shingles from around chimney. Remove & replaced rotted and deteriorated wood of roof & overhangs. Install ice & water shield. Install new chimney flashing. Removed all job related debris.
