A persistent but intermittent leak from one spot at the upper rim of our house's foundation (where the framing met concrete) had bedeviled us since buying the home in 2005. The apparent origin of the leak was adjacent to our front patio slab (T-shaped split level). Finally, after consulting several foundation specialists (along with siding, concrete and gutter contractors) who diagnosed the problem only by looking at the dried-out spot and our photos of the still-wet foundation, we found Up-Right Services. Up-Right methodically determined the leak's source by the simple expedient of taking a hose and pouring water around the suspect area while one of their team watched inside. Sure enough, the water actually came from a different wall, ran along the foundation edge, turned a corner and finally spilled over and onto the floor at out originally presumed "source" location. They were the only company we tried who didn't attempt to sell us a preconceived and expensive "fix" based upon a cursory glance at the affected area. We're now on our fourth major rain since the patch and not one drop of water has entered our basement. Last but not least, Up-Right's bill was $150.00 less than their original estimate.
