The sales process went well. The salesperson was very knowledgable, low pressure, and price was very competitive. We did not haggle over price since we had gotten similar quotes on the same set of appliances elsewhere. The dealer had come with a reputation of working well with contractors. We gave him our contractors contact information and the salesperson assured us that he would contact the contractor with all measurments, any concerns, and to coordinate delivery. This was in mid-December, we would not need the appliances for a few months. The dealer NEVER contacted the contractor. The contractor attempted to contact the dealer but never received a return call. We paid 50% down and the remainder at the time that the order needed to be placed. Cabinets and countertops were created using the mfg's specs. The dealer's delivery guy called my husband, repeatedly, at work for delivery instructions. Each time my husband told that he would need to coordinate delivery with the contractor. Every time the delivery guy had a question, he'd insist upon calling my husband BEFORE contacting the contractor. Upon delivery, the range did not fit. The Installer claimed that there are "always problems in retrofits". However the kitchen had been gutted to studs, all new plumbing added, all new cabinets and countertops - definately not a "retrofit". The dealer did not bother to respond and the cabinet and countertop people needed to deal with the issue. The dishwasher is still not completly installed (two + months later) -- it is functional but loud due to the installer neglecting to finish the installation. We have not heard a single word from the dealer since installation.
