Dan took the time to guide my wife and I through the building process. I assumed because of the price to get a "track" home. Dan provided superior service and a high end product complete with custom cabinetry solid maple 4.5 inch woodwork. Dan used highly qualified subs who also were very nice and professional. Right from the start I knew we made the right choice in contractors when Dan brought me through his home and his daughters house to show the quality of his work. Dan provided the little things at no charge which were extra at all of the larger builders in the area. A list of some of the things are: Custom high end woodwork (around the front window and sink he included a custom built sill with three piece border) custom built wood closet organizers and shelving (Dan lets you design you own and he builds them for you), high end railings, hardware, trim, insulation, and other things. Dan's attention to details surprised me. The front door was stained to match the woodwork. Apparently Dan noticed a few small bubbles in the finish which I would not have noticed--ever. Dan pointed them out had the door removed and a new one installed and finished. Again I would have never notice this but Dan did and insisted on fixing it. The majority of builders would not have done this. How often does the owner of a company work on their own jobs? Dan was here every day, working and inspecting. Dan does not have a multi million dollar home and a half million dollar shop and office. I asked Dan when he was planning on retiring, he replied "I do this job because I like the work not because I have to work". Building our home would not have happened without him. Do not settle for other contractors without checking with Dan first. I am so thankful Dan was there for us he is truly one of a kind. I would be willing to open the doors of my own home to anybody serious in building a home to show the quality workmanship Dan provides and I can tell you about the stress free hassle free experience we had.
