Description of Work: TK restoration bricked the back of our house. It looked really nice when he was done considering the mess that the prior mason left him. Tom was hired to clean up a job gone wrong. TK is a good honest business. Prices are very reasonable and his work is very good. My only minor negative comment would be that he is not always on time. However, he always does finish the job. Very hard worker. would recommend TK restoration to a friend.

 + -1 moreI CONTACTED KOBY RESTORATION. THEY SAID THEY WOULD GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE AND TOLD ME WHEN THEY WOULD COME, BUT THEY DIDNT SHOW UP WHEN SCHEDULED AND THEY NEVER CONTACTED ME AGAIN. I WOULD NOT USE THEM.

 + -1 moreKOBY RETURNED MY INITIAL PHONE CALL WITHIN 24 HOURS BUT I WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THEY SAID THEY WOULD PHONE BACK THAT AFTERNOON BUT DID NOT. WHEN I PHONED THEM AGAIN AFTER A FEW DAYS, IT SOUNDED LIKE THEY HAD LOST THEIR RECORD OF MY INITIAL CALL. ONCE CONTACT WAS MADE, HOWEVER, THEY PERFORMED WELL AND REASONABLY AS PROMISED.
Description of Work: YOU RECOMMENDED KOBY RESTORATION IN RESPONSE TO MY REQUEST FOR SOMEONE TO REPLACE A CHIMNEY COVER LOST TO A WINDSTORM LAST SPRING. THEY NOT ONLY DID THAT, BUT ALSO SEALED A HAIRLINE CRACK THEY FOUND IN THE CHIMNEY CAP AND A GAP IN THE JOINT BETWEEN THE CAP AND THE FLUE TILE CAUSED WHEN THE CONCRETE CHIMNEY CAP CONTRACTED.

 + -1 more2 OTHER CONTRACTORS HAD LOOKED AT THE JOB. BOTH WANTED TO REBUILD PORCH (WHICH I HATED) AS IT WAS. NEITHER HAD ANY ORIGINAL IDEAS. THE ONE, CAME BACK WITH AN ESTIMATE OF OVER $5,000, AND THEY WOULD USE NEW-LOOKING BRICK FROM THEIR USUAL STOCK. THE OTHER COMPANY, NEVER EVEN GOT BACK TO ME WITH AN ESTIMATE. TOM KOBY, ON THE OTHER HAND, UNDERSTOOD THAT I WANTED A PORCH WHICH WOULD MATCH OUR 1920,S TUDOR, AND IMMEDIATELY CAME UP WITH A BEAUTIFUL AND TASTEFUL PLAN. HE USED BEAUTIFUL OLD-LOOKING BRICK THAT MATCHES THE HOUSE. AND BEST OF ALL FOR $2,000 LESS THAN THE OTHER COMPANIES ESTIMATE. LISA AND TOM KOBY WERE ALWAYS ENTHUSIASTIC AND HELPFUL. ALTHOUGH HAMPERED BY BAD WEATHER, THE JOB WENT VERY QUICKLY FROM CONCEPTION TO FINISH.
Description of Work: REMOVAL OF DETERIORATED CONCRETE FRONT PORCH AND STEPS AND RUSTED IRON RAILING AND REPLACEMENT. BEAUTIFULLY REDESIGNED (BY TOM KOBY) PORCH AND STEPS WITH CONCRETE AND BRICK WHICH MATCHED THE 1920'S HOUSE. ALSO PRESSURE-WASHED OUR BACKYARD WOOD DECK.
