We had a roof and gutters installed by Paul Crandall Roofing in 2021. They installed the shingles on the hip crooked and had to replace it, they roofed over the bathroom vent, they forgot to install a vent for a range hood, we had to remind them to install a cricket behind our masonry chimney. When the roof was completed the shingles were so crooked they ended up having to replace literally half of the roof (which should have been the complete roof because they still are not all straight). When they removed the roof the second time they dragged the shingles across the new gutters removing the finish to bare aluminum and eventually replaced half of those as well. Speaking of gutters they subbed that out to someone else but they didn’t do a great job either. The first time they installed black and gray gutter apron with brown gutters, they had to come back 3 times and even after that the gutters were not pitched correctly so they would drain, some were cut too short. 2 ½ years later we have water leaking around the chimney flashing (damaging drywall, insulation, flooring and causing mold on the interior of our home). There are problems all over: they did not properly roof over the old attic vents, the ridge vent is not cut out for 12 ft of the ridge, the gutter apron is improperly installed causing the shingles to curl, there are many places where they completely missed the boards nailing in the shingles, they left broken boards that were supposed to be replaced, there are nails in the middle of shingles, valleys improperly installed, gutter is cut into the roofing causing shingles to crack. We hired other roofing companies to do repairs Paul Crandall will not take care of and eventually RCL Engineering to evaluate the roof (they recommended a complete replacement). Paul Crandall dismissed the report as not true, and they have refused to pay for any of the damage and Paul told us to sue him and he would tie this up in court for over a year.

They were punctual and efficient, courteous, thorough and good communicators. They used very good quality materials.

Roof itself is decent - Not great, but not horrible either. The biggest issue for me is the apparent lack for customer service/satisfaction on Paul Crandall's end.

It was excellent. Everything was done as proposed. The workers were great. The roof is doing great. We had an additional insulation put in before the actual roof was put on. They did the roof removal as well.

They installed three inches of insulation board before the new roof was put on my house. We definitely feel the warmth and the difference in the house. They did a good job.

Great job guys! Paul had come out to do an on site estimate, and got back to us within a week or so with a quote for the whole job. They sent a big crew of 5-6 men who started at 7am and had our flawless roof installed by 11am! They had excellent equipment and knew how to use it. Window and door installation was done on another day, and they are certified to install windows, and as such did a great job of that too. Then the siding crew worked on the siding for a week or so following the window and door installation. Our new home is absolutely beautiful, and they installed the entire exterior!! The quote was right on and there weren't any additional charges!!
