Exceptional work. Work was done professionally, promptly, and efficiently. We have used Holton Bros twice, and both times we were extremely pleased with every aspect of the interaction.

My brick home, built in 1948, was in need of some important and technical brick and stone replacement and repointing on chimney and garage. I asked a son-in-law, a contractor, which mason to call. He said "Holton is the class act. Just call them." I did, and didn't even compare bids, so can't answer whether or not they were middle in pricing or somewhat higher. Considering the work done and its quality, I believe I was given full value for the for the price I paid. My grandfather was a mason, as was his father, and grandfather taught me what makes for good brick and stonework. The work at my home was absolutely first class, and makes a significant difference both to the house's looks and its integrity. After seeing Holton's work, I'd never go anywhere else. I should say that care was taken of the garden and lawn, cleanup was very professional, and I was given just as much commentary as I asked for (which was a lot). I give Holton Brothers my highest recommendation.

The Holton Brothers crew was spectacular. From the bidding process all the way through the end of the project they were extremely professional and their work is impeccable. They were clean, efficient and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Holton Brothers for any project you may have with regards to masonry.

It went very well. They were punctual, cleaned up nicely after the work, and did a very good job matching the mortar. We had great communication via email, which was convenient, and everything went very smoothly. I was fine with the pricing, although I did no comparison shopping on the job, and don't know how it would compare to other providers.

They did a really great job. The price was right. The quality and scope of the work that they did was fantastic. They are an “A” in the perspective of price and quality. I have recommended them to a couple of people. They are really good. However they were not always responsive but they did a really good job. So they could improve on being responsive.

I called Holton Brothers because of their good reviews and the longevity of their business. I had contacted them to do tuck pointing on our home, and pillar repair to our porch. I called twice in May/June of 2015. Twice I spoke with a receptionist and gave basic information about the work. She told me that they would contact me. Twice no one called. So I suppose that they did not want our business. Very frustrating. I did find another mason through Angie's List in Kenosha with a good reputation. I'll be writing a review when our work is done in the next two weeks. The mason from Kenosha came out and inspected our home, gave us a written estimate, and allowed us time to shop around before confirming and scheduling the work. Holton Brothers did not even bother to call back, let alone give us an estimate. To others who have left good reviews, good for you. That was not our experience. If our job was "too small" or not in an area they serviced (we live in Racine County), the least they could do is tell us, "no thanks." Instead they just left us hanging. Twice.

Excellent work. One of the best service providers we've ever worked with in terms of quality, responsiveness, and attention to detail. Holton Brothers even exceeded the expectations of my perfectionist apartment manager, and that is no easy feat.

We selected Holton Bros. because they had a great reputation for the work they do. They were definitely not the cheapest but they are the company we had the most trust in doing the job right. We wanted to trust the contractor would do the job right and we did not want to ever have to deal with this issue again so we were willing to pay more for Holton Bros. craftsmanship. Matt provided us with an estimate and explained everything they would do and that there were some unknowns that would need to be tackled after demolition of the old porch. The guys showed up and really got after it. They removed the old sinking cement and removed the old brick façade. Reinforced the porch area with rebar so it would not sink in the future and poured the new porch. They put up a gorgeous new brick that all the neighbors have commented on and then poured a new cement walkway to replace an old sinking brick walk. The Holton Bros. crew (headed by Darwin) was very professional and really did exquisite work. The actual invoice came in right around the estimate Matt put together despite the fact we picked out a much more expensive brick than we were replacing. Holton Bros. did not require any money down upfront. They sent us an invoice after all work was completed. We would definitely recommend Holton Bros. to neighbors, friends and family. They do great work at a very fair price and we trusted them throughout the entire process (which is priceless) to correct the shoddy work done by the original builder. Big thanks to Matt L., Darwin and all the other Holton Bros. crew members that pitched in to repair our home!

We used several companies for original estimates of this large project. Holton won the bid although they were not the least expensive. They were professional from the initial visit and worked with our difficult schedule (we needed to be out of town on an emergency that was not part of our initial scheduling plan) without a hitch. All workers were polite and respectful of all of my requests involving flowers, changes that needed to be done due to findings during excavations initially. I have never worked with a group of men so very respectful of cleanliness when they would leave the project for the week end. The entire group of men worked well together. No part of the project was sub-contracted......but each man had parts of the project assigned to them and performed well. Stone work at certain points requires artistry and appropriately, the right man for this aspect of the job was called in. This project took more time than was initially anticipated. However the guys worked through all changes with no difficulty or the feeling that we were being rushed. Their diagnostic acumen was excellent. When something was found that required a change in the anticipated project, they appropriately involved us in the decision making....as well as made excellent suggestions to resolve issues. The outcome of this project was beautiful and I would use these guys again without hesitation. All areas were drained well and all walls were taken down to their foundation. We got our monies worth.

I contacted the provider 10-16-13 and received a home visit on 10-17-13. The employee that responded to my home examined all damaged and deteriorating masonry and gave me a rough estimate of 1500.00 dollars United States currency, but that a formal quote would be mailed. I received the quote via mail and as this was the only company that responded with a quote of three other companies contacted though angies list, I contracted with this provider to perform the repairs to my house. The employee that responded to my house was professional, and easy to talk to. the work was completed in two days time. the brick that was replaced was matched very close, and with some aging will not be noticeable at all. The investment was worth the work and professionalism exhibited by this providers employees. I would employ this provider again on the future.

They did a nice job. Two guys came to do the work and they completed the work within one day. They were extremely friendly, timely, and they worked very hard the whole time they were at our home. They are billing us now as they do not bill until after the work is completed. They have to factor in the amount of spray that they use.

I liked them very well. I was quite happy with them. The salesman help do part of the work. They were here for about a week I think anywhere from two guys to four or five guys to start with and I thought they did very good work. I was happy with them. The price was little on the high side, but when I saw the people they had here doing the work I could see lighter bills. There were several different things that I wanted done and so he quote me separate prices for each of the job so that if I wanted I could just do some of them or rather one total price. I went with total price and had him do other things, but I thought that was good because it is the price that was little higher I might have skipped one or two things and I decided to go ahead with them so the pricing separately for each of the areas had to be done which was a good idea. The workers were pleasant. I would use them again.

Tom Holton did the estimate and the cost came in a bit below the estimate. The workers showed up on time and were very friendly. They worked two 10 hour days in the heat and one half day. They cleaned up each day so well you would not know they had been there. The work was very well done. Can't say enough how pleased I am with the job!

They are the best. I would recommend them.

The sales person for Holton Brothers submitted a detailed cost estimate so we knew exactly what needed to be done and the costs involved. Holton Brothers spent several days tuckpointing and replacing the brick on a spalled area at the corner of our duplex and also fixed the myriad of small issues in the brick. The attention to detail was impressive. They replaced five bowing lintels and a damaged concrete window sill. The company's employees arrived promptly on the scheduled day, and worked diligently the three days they were here.

I wanted you to know what a fantastic job Matt from Holton Brothers did today at my new building. What an artist! I didn?t think it could end up looking that good. And he was extra informative and helpful in explaining a couple other items that will need attention after I replace some windows. But without Matt taking the time to explain it to me I would not have known about masonry and bricks. The previous owner of my building had just squirted some bathtub calk in some of the cracks so of course that wasn't a solution. Matt worked all morning with a grinder removing all the old and loose debris. Then he insulated and repaired what was damaged using materials that were specifically made for brick buildings. The best part of all of this is that he custom matched colors and textures so his repairs were so perfect you couldn't see when the problems had been. He did the repairs like he was working on his own house. He was a very pleasant and professional person too.

It took two days to finish the job. They did exactly what they said they would do.

They just kind of went above and beyond and the bricks that were used in this house were from the 70’s and it’s no longer made. The brick that we have now is of a different size which would obviously be problematic. He went all over to all the brick yards and he finally found some and just bought a bunch of it. Then, whoever built the house had painted the brick here and there to give it a more modeled look. He went above and beyond just to get the paint color right. He made three trips to a particular place and put the paint on different bricks and he looked at them and then made me look at them. Then we let it dry and we looked at it again. He was just amazing.

Went very well considering problems with the weather. Job done well and on time. At the conclusion of the job we asked if they could handle additional minor brick work using the brick left over from the job. they readily agreed and did more than we expected all at no additional cost.

Although I was not home for most of the two weeks that the work took place (chose to travel due to the impending dust and noise), there were no issues. Was an extensive job, THey matched our "old" grout well.

I spent $8000 on the job. They were great. I will use this company again in the future.

We originally had the Holton Brothers (along with several other contractors) come out and quote the job in the Fall of 2009. We were very impressed with their high level of detail when explaining what they would do to fix the front of our house to our liking. They were very honest in telling us that because they were called out so late in the season, we would need to wait until the spring to get the work completed. Since they are a well known company with great Angie's List reviews, we felt very comfortable booking the future work with the Holton Brothers.

My contact Mark was very responsive and punctual. He was very honest and I was very happy with the way the work turned out.

They did a chimney replacement for me. They do masonry. Matt is their sales person, and he is very customer-service oriented. They also repaired masonry for an inside fireplace.

THIS COMPANY SUGGESTED I CONTACT A ROOFER/SHEET METAL COMPANY TO SEAL THE FLASHING AFTER THE CHIMNEY WAS REBUILT. I WAS LOOKING FOR A COMPANY THAT COULD PERFORM ALL THE WORK. RECEIVED ESTIMATE APPROX. 1 1/2 WEEKS AFTER INITIAL REQUEST.
