CUSTOM WINDOWS PLUS

Overall it was very disappointing. I will hit the important parts. The scheduling was ridiculously bad. We were told that they would schedule 2 crews (4 people) for 1 day in order to complete the work in 1 day. On the scheduled day, they arrived later than they said, but only had 3 people and they took away 1 right away. It was obvious by mid-day they wouldn't be close to being done. To fast forward, they were here 4 days. The original day was a Friday before a holiday. Because they already booked the next week, my house was rearranged and furniture moved around (by their request for their convenience) for a week and a half until they came back. The sales guy said he'd be around during the work because it was a big job. During the presentation he actually said, "What do I need to do to get the job?". He discounted the price some to get it and I thought that energy would be there throughout the process. When he finally did show up at my house during the work, he walked by me and ignored me for a while - in my own house! I was stunned. He finally greeted me and left pretty quickly. The point with the scheduling was that the told me what they would do and they didn't do it. They knew they didn't have the crew to send to my house because of their own production issues from earlier in the week, but didn't adjust or communicate with me. Even though I have a large driveway with plenty of space, they still put the old windows and building materials in the flowerbeds and on the plants. I moved some and asked them not to put it on the flowers and plants. Their truck leaked fluids onto the driveway. I had to tell them to park on the street. They did not offer to clean it up, nor did they have any material to absorb the oil/fluids. One of the employees really didn't understand that his job here was to work. Now, I'm a friendly person and I like a good conversation with everyone, but this guy just didn't know where to draw the line. He constantly came into the areas of the house I was in and talked about all types of stuff, a lot. I'm happy to chat with anyone who is working at my house, but someone needs to educate him about what is too much. Also, he smoked and smelled pretty strong. That made it pretty unpleasant to talk with him. The wood they used for stops and trim on the windows was rough cut - they did not sand any of the material. Some wasn't that bad, but some of it had an obvious rough texture. Some of it even had some bad shredding all along the long corners. Very poor craftsmanship and quality. They would have left some windows uncaulked outside if I hadn't told them. They did not clean the windows until I asked them to do so. I asked the site manager, Norm, to do an inspection all around after they were done and before they left. I asked him to verify everything was caulked and all windows were clean. He did not. Some windows had been cleaned, but not all. I still can not verify that the free self cleaning glass offered actually exists.
