Results were better than we expected. They were fantastic to work with and kept us updated throughout the process. Quality of construction and professionalism of all employees was great.

We were extremely pleased with all aspects of the project. It turned out as planned in the design and on schedule. The owner (Mike) was extremely easy to work with, always communicated well and listened to suggestions/alterations that we encountered during the planning and construction phases. We were pleased with all the skilled craftsmen that Mike brought in to work on various stages of the project. We had plenty of opportunity to interface with all of them and they not only did great work, they were very friendly and especially neat, cleaning up at the end of each day. Mike was very professional and went out of his way to be "customer friendly", even going so far a couple of times to make changes that probably added to his cost but doing it without changing our overall price. You had a sense that he was trying to make it right for us because we did not ask for the changes but he heard us talking about a decision we were trying to make and he said 'look, I'll do it for you". Again, they did the gamut of things, plumbing, carpentry, electrical. HVAC, concrete work, dry walling, painting and carpeting. Alway paid attention to detail and did great work. We would recommend Mike to anyone!

Never came for estimate

From the moment we met Mike and Gina of Reality Construction, we sensed they would be our choice for this huge project. But we did our due diligence and got additional quotes. But the connection and understanding we had with Reality Construction could not be duplicated, not to mention their quote was spot on. Some of the pluses that drove our choice and remain strong impressions : Reality Construction is a local company, Mike has an extensive background in all phases of the remodel and years of experience, Gina added such an important component when making selections or asking questions, both were always (& I mean always) available, they were on time for the quote visit and every one thereafter, they insist on perfection in craftsmanship and service excellence, Mike did not hesitate to call people back in when things weren't done to his standards, they stayed on budget, the vendors they work with are exemplary & friendly people, they worked around our dog, our narrow garage, our schedules and a back-ordered appliance order (our own selection) without which they would have finished ahead of schedule. Mike and Gina are professional, honest and exceptionally fun to work with. We laughed a lot. Mike was very present throughout the process and on demo day seemed extra excited to tear down a wall. He inspected every couple days to make sure the debris was picked up, work was completed to his perfect standards and the floors were swept every day. I guess you can tell we are overjoyed with our new kitchen and the work done by Reality Construction. Down the road we will call them again for a few bathroom remodels and maybe a basement. We refer Mike and Gina without reservation. We had never done a remodel of anything before but we couldn't have made a better choice. If we could give them a rating of higher than an "A" we would!

IT DIDN'TGO AT ALL. YOU COULD TELL THEY DIDN'T WANT TO COME OUT.

Mike and Gina came to our house, helped us with decisions on design, and quickly provided us with a drawing and cost estimate. They said up front that the estimate would be the final cost, and my husband and I are very pleased there weren't any "hidden" charges or extra fees. The drywall crew couldn't get the drywall sheets down our not-very-roomy staircase, which delayed them by a day, and caused more work for them, but the cost was not passed on to us. Mike and/or Gina came to the house frequently to check on the work. We had a couple of minor glitches with workmanship, which is to be expected in any project, but Mike corrected any issues right away and held his sub-contractors responsible. He made no excuses - he just got it done. Mike and Gina responded to our calls right away and kept us updated on the schedule. We are very pleased that the project was done ahead of schedule by a couple of weeks. We definitely recommend working with Reality Construction, and we wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

The work took twice as long as it was supposed to. The workmanship was extremely shoddy and he always had an excuse. He always had his guys here, but he never showed up at the job site until we complained about something and then he just said well, that's the best we can do. I would never recommend them and if anybody wants to come out and see his work, we would be glad to show them.

Quality of work was excellent. Helped us design entire basement,very easy to work with, kept us informed throughout the entire process. Great overall experience.

Mike and Regina came on appointment time. Gave us ideas recommendations ad a just and on the spot. Came back with computer picture of what it would look like went smooth with quality workers and work done.

Subcontractors, scheduled by Mike, the general contractor (GC), were all on sight with-in a reasonable to precise time. All friendly & skillfull in their areas.

After working with a kitchen planner, we attended a spring home show in Milwaukee where we met Gina Bartelt and immediately felt at ease with her understanding of what we wanted to do. Gina and Mike met with us several times in our home to discuss our ideas and how they would work structurally with our house. During the tear-down, dust was contained very well. Throughout the project, workers were prompt and friendly, and Mike was here to check in almost every day. He helped us with various choices along the way, suggested improvements which would stay within our contracted amount, and made sure that work was well-done and in a timely and orderly manner. We were impressed with Mike's knowledge and insistence on quality of all his workers. Gina helped with choices, as well, even letting me come to her home and look at her dark sink, which I was considering. Our finished rooms are beautiful, and we can honestly say a year and a half later that there is nothing we would have done differently! Our experience with Mike and Gina Bartelt of Reality Construction was beyond our expectations. We highly recommend Reality Construction and will definitely call on Mike and Gina again when we are ready for another project.

It went very smoothly, I was amazed at how quickly my kitchen was gutted. Once the walls were opened, the electrcian came in and upgraded the wiring. Then the plumber came in and roughed in for the new sink and faucet. They insulated my exterior walls. Next was the drywall. That was messy, but they kept it as clean as possible. I had chosen maple cabinets and they are great. Then they measured for my granite countertops, it was hard to wait for them, but what can you do. While we were waiting for countertops, the new hardwood floors were installed. Once they were in, the electrician finished up all my lighting (under cabinet lights are great). The plumber installed the sink, faucet and my icemaker line. We are happy with our new kitchen, the cabinets have lots of new gadgets like pullouts and a spice drawer and soft closing drawers. There were absolutely no hidden charges. At the end I did not have any surprise expenses which happened when I remodeled my bathroom a few years ago. Once our choices were made (all in one day), everything went just as Mike told us it would.

Mike and Gina came out to my house and looked at my basement. Mike was able to give a good estimate right then for what I wanted to do. Then they took measurements. Mike said that Gina would type a proposal and make a drawing of my basement and get back to me in about 2 weeks. After 1 week, they called to come out again. The proposal was for the amount Mike said on their first visit. The drawings were great andd gave me an idea of what the job would look like when done. I called to ask questions on a Sunday, and Mike answered his phone. We signed a contract and they got to work in a few days. The project ran very smoothly. The process to pick out my cabinets, countertops and such was very easy. My questions were alway answered quickly. The whole thing was done in 2 months just as they said it would be. The basement matches the rest of my home so well, you wouldn't know I finished it 5 years after I built the house.

We had the kitchen totally redone. They came and did a "ruff estimate", which was about what we thought it would be. After that, Gina did computer drawings. (Very cool) We worked out the details and came up with a price. We were able to make all our selections in a day! The whole process was a mess, but they did their best to control it. They put up plastic, had a dumpster and were pretty good with trying to keep up with the day-to-day messes. Mike took care of all the permits for us. He did all the scheduling and handles everything so we did not have to worry about anything. All the subcontractors showed up when they were supposed to and were very friendly. It was always fun to come home from work and see what was done that day. I now have the most beautiful kitchen around! Thanks Gina and Mike!!

It went smoothly from start to finish. Gina went with me to choose my finishes, scheduled everything in one day. Any problems which arose were handled immediately. Mike is very knowledgeable in his field. Had no problems with permits. I was worried because I had heard stories from my neighbors about how many problems they had with inspections. Very happy with the completed job and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Mike & Gina helped with design, Mike overs saw every step of construction. The price quoted was the price paid. Mike had a good sense of humor which added to a relaxed mood in the midst of 3 levels of the house under construction.
