Kons Septic Service Inc

Kons is a very friendly, service oriented company. We have used them for the last 7 years to service our septic system. They have always been very responsive when I have called to have our septic holding tanks pumped. The office keeps notes for every account and makes sure to respect the owners' wishes. The service has been fast, honest, very affordable, and unfailingly honest. I would definitely hire them again.

They started the Monday after Mothers Day. They had to deal with a lot of rain It took longer due to the weather. We are very pleased with the work performed. Very easy to work with.

Besides pumping out the tank, he did a test of flow into the tank. Cleaned up after dragging the hose across my yard. Put everything back as it was.

It went very well. Didn't take very long and he was on time. Happy with the service.

This company is amazing! On Saturday afternoon my husband discovered a large puddle around the lid of our septic tank. We called Kons at 8:00 AM Monday morning. They were here before noon and in less than an hour they had pumped out the tank and found and removed a large blockage in the cast iron pipe leading to the leach field. They restored free flow to the system and kept us from having sewage backing up into the house (I don't even want to think about THAT!) or causing further problems with the system. We've used them previously for pumping, but this is the first time we needed help with a clog. I highly recommend them for their efficiency, their extensive knowledge and ability, and the pleasant demeanor shown by everyone we've ever dealt with. We also appreciate their reasonable prices. They charged $165 for the normal pump-out (based on location and system) and $150 to clean out the blockage. You can find online DIY accounts of trying to clear a clogged pipe, but considering that you have to get the tank pumped anyway and may need to rent equipment as well, we'll pass and leave this dirty job to the professionals. Kons is very knowledgeable about their business and gives great advice.

My father had just passed away and my husband was in the hospital with an unknown infection. The septic system in my father's house appeared to be full and needed to be emptied. The shower drain started gurgling so it seemed like something needed to be done quickly. I got Mr. Kon's information from Angies List and contacted him. He was outstanding. Fespite having a full schedule, he came to take care of emptying the system the day I called. He discovered the drain gurgling was caused by a blockage of sludge in the pipes and set about fixing that so we could again use the bathroom facilities. He took his time in resolving the blockage for which I am very grateful. When he left our septic system was emptied and we can again use the bathroom facilities. He showed me the problems with the tank and gave recommendations how to deal with it. He literally saved the day for me.

I could not have asked for more. He was at my house within an hour of my first call. He sent his nephew (runs the digging end of the business) to steam the frozen lines. Highly recommend Kons for any septic needs.

Dave was prompt and very informative. He gave suggestions and advice on how to keep the tank in good working order. When the tank alarm started going off, Dave returned on very short notice and replaced the pump switch float. Dave was very professional and likable.

The service went well with them. They were extremely professional and make you feel as one of the family. The work they did we thought was great.

From the gal who answered the phone to the handwritten note from the technician the service was superb. I do not know if the price is competitive or not since I rely heavily on Angie's list recommendations.

Once they identified the problem of the septic box being age worn and crumbling the resolution went very quickly. The contractor they referred me to was experienced and competitively priced. The work was arranged so that it could be done while we were away. Upon our return they were just finishing up. They did an excellent job and we are very happy with the result.

I thought it was awful excessive. I cut it down to once a year and it didn't matter. So after that, I just stopped using them. I felt that I was just getting used. They came to do it and did it but I just felt like they set me up and it just kept on coming.

I called in the morning to set a service time. Dave (the Owner) showed up as promised, corrected the problem, answered all my questions in an easy to understand way and gave me some very good tips on how to protect and manage my system ... all for the price of a service call. I recommend this company.

Kons did a wonderful job. My Mom had been using Kons for many, many years without any issues so that was who we called when we needed to sell her house. Everyone I dealt with at Kons was professional and very responsive to our needs. We had multiple questions and our septic inspection date had changed a couple of times. Kons will always be the people I call when I need someone to service my septic.

I discovered a sewer pump running for extended periods of time with vibration and noise not normally heard in our house. Since Kons has always maintained my septic I called them and they came out same day, assessed the issues, a failed sewer pump and check valve (both date back to 1988). Billy took the information tag from the pump's electrical cord to make sure he could match the appropriate replacement submersible pump. That same afternoon he called to confirm he had the part and would be out next day to replace it and gave me the quote. He showed up on time and called ahead of time. Work was done in a timely and extremely neat and professional manner. Highly recommend Kons to anyone and everyone.

Not much to tell about septic tank pumping. They arrived on time, pumped the tank, did the inspection, cleaned up and left. The whole process took less than 45 minutes. They submitted the necessary forms to Washington county without a problem. I have used them before and will do so again.

My wife and I recently purchased the house in September and just received a letter in the mail telling us that we needed to have our septic tank pumped. I called Kons to get a price quote and they entered my address into their system and said that they were just out there in July when the inspection of the septic tank was done to pump it out. The woman on the phone said that we dont actually need our tank pumped and that she would take care of notifying the county that the services were already taken care of. Even though I did not use their services today I will definitely use them when I need my tank pumped 2 years from now! Thanks Kons!!

I called around 11am to ask them to come take a look at my septic tank as I thought it might be full since my basement toilet wasn't flushing well. As I was on the phone I walked down to the basement and noticed (ugh!) that there was an inch of water coming up from the floor drain. The woman I was talking to asked me a few questions and then said she'd call the trucks and figure out how soon someone could get out to me. She called me right back and was able to have someone there in 2hrs, whew! The 2 guys were right on time. They even called when leaving their previous job to tell me they were on the way! They checked out my septic tank (which was fine) and then checked out the basement. They were able to diagnose the problem (sump pump moter was broken) and tell me what to do until I got it fixed. I was leaving for a trip that afternoon, so they helped me put the problem on hold until I got back. And they were right! I cleaned up the water that day and when I got back there wasn't any new water - yay!
