I didn't realize that the fireplace is sealed so there isn't a lot that Greg could do. He inspected above and below, made certain it was functioning correctly and, most helpful, showed me the control panel that I didn't know existed. He also cleaned the external pipe where the exhaust goes. Typically, Greg would charge $195 for an inspection of the fireplace and chimney. I thought that the $125 was still high for the amount of work that was actually completed, but a service call alone would usually cost $75 for most contractors and I now have the peace of mind that the unit is working adequately.
