Lake Country Pool & Sunroom LLC

Signed contract 2/09 and were told we were second on the list, excavation would begin 4/09 and we would "be swimming by memorial day". The only pool we got was a pool of lies and excuses why nothing was done. Pool manufacturer contacted us in June wanting to know why we were constantly delaying delivery of the pool. Once it was clear it was not us doing the delaying, the pool was delivered the second week of July and a crew was brought in from Missouri to get it into the ground. Once this was done, very little else was done. An electrician was sent out to do the rough in , but this later proved to have been done wrong and had to be done over at our expense. The pump and plumbing was put in late in July, but the plumbing for it was later found to have been done wrong and had to be done over as well. Meanwhile the water in the pool turned into a dirty cesspool. The owner of the company (Amy Shirley aka: Amy Brouwer) never returned to the job site after the pool was put in the ground and pretty much ignored all attempts to contact her and get the job done. She had someone come out to attempt to straighten the sides of the pool so the landscaping could be done, but that person only came out twice and never spent more than an hour or two each time and ultimately made matters worse. The contract expired 10/1/09 with nothing more having gotten done. We had to hire a new company to get the job done. We had also paid about $6 thousand dollars toward a fence to be installed, but that was never done either. They refused to refund any of our money. It was clear this company had no clue how to install the pool. They should not be in business. This company has also done business under the names: Lake Country Pools LLC; Lake Country Pool and Sunroom, LLC; Lake Country Pool & Spa Supply, Inc.; Lake Country Pools, Inc. The front person for this company is Amy Shirley AKA Amy Brouwer.
