We started slowly, checking out various designers and remodelers starting in February. We reviewed several websites and visited numerous stores getting prices and narrowing our options. We came close to working with one designer who had some good ideas, but just couldn't quite get on board with our $8-10K budget.Once I stopped and talked with Phil Lewin late in April, our plan started to come together fast. By working with him, we quickly got our former builder on board for the carpentry and drywall, found a new plumber, and started the ordering process.This all tied in with a glass block window and solid surface vanity top with integrated sinks from Lowe's (also a great experience).The only speed bump was having to wait an extra week for the right tile installer, but this was due to timing and delivery on other items. It was worth the short wait to have an expert do the job.Target date for completion of the bath was the end of June as we had guests coming for the long 4th of July weekend. It was 99% done on July 2 and the plumber and carpenter even came on July 3 to do the final touches!We have now heated ceramic tile floor and a custom walk-in shower (no door) and all the quality we hoped for. Our carpet was installed a few days later and we couldn't be happier with the result. We wouldn't change a thing.
