Description of Work: I hired Fox Valley Ceramic Tile, LLC on 4-1-13 to tile my small basement bathroom. The owner of the company was the one that provided the estimate and signed the 5 page contract with me. He informed me that he had other jobs to completed, but would be able to start work on 4-18-13 and complete my job by 4-23-13. He also provided a $105.00 discount if I paid for the job the day the contract was signed. Since he had what appeared to be a legitimate contract; I felt comfortable providing him a check. After I paid for the services upfront, the owner never initiated communication with me. I had to reach out to him multiple times before he would return any of my messages in regards to his start date. Once he informed me that he would not be able to meet the contractual completion date of 4-23-13, I asked that he refund my money. He stated he would and then a few hours later e-mailed me a very aggressive and rude e-mail informing me that there was a 7 day clause in the e-mail for him to remedy the situation. I reviewed the contract and did see the clause. I informed him he was correct and that the completion date would then need to be the 4-30-13. That e-mail correspondence was sent on 4-19-13 and since that day I have not heard anything from the owner.
