Description of Work: Repaired a sewer line break. Work performed was not what was expected. Left a big pile of excavation for me to clean up.

Description of Work: My homes basement was flooded when I was out of town. The flood was discovered by an HVAC contractor when at the home to do something else. I called Mr. Rooter on a verbal recommendation by ServPro. I had John from Mr. Rooter come out, he accessed my house by using a key hidden outside my home. He diagnosed the issue and asked for direction. I gave him permission to do the work of pushing out the sewer line so my basement drain would drain the standing water in my basement. John then suggested and quoted me just over $9000 to reline my sewer line because it had roots growing in it. He went on to mention that my sewer line was in really bad shape and really needed to be relined, however at that time he had not located the "clean out" so he could not have used a camera to shoot the line to actually see what my sewer line actually looked like. He was basing his recommendation on the fact that dirt and clay had come back on the head of the snake he had used to push out the junk clogging my sewer line. I had a second plumber come out for a second opinion to look at my sewer line and he determined the cause of my flooded basement was due to my drain tiles releasing a lot of water into my basement and because the drain line out was clogged my basement would not drain. Since my older home did not have a sump pump it was recommended by this second plumber that that was the most important thing to do first. The cost Mr. Rooter charged me to blow out my sewer line was really high, over $1000, but I really did not have much of an option being new to town and out of town when the flooded basement situation was discovered. John at Mr. Rooter could not have been nicer over the phone, but the second opinion plumber and my contractor hired to do other jobs around the house feel like John of Mr. Rooter made the wrong diagnosis of my issue. Yes, perhaps my sewer line does need to be relined, but since my basement didn't have a sump pump and just about everyone that lives in my area has one, it was determined the first and most important thing that needed to be done. Description of Work: Came and identified the cause of a drain backup in the basement. Cleared the line all the way to the street but the video inspection tool went down. He came back a few days later to take a look at the line to ensure there was no other concerns (roots, breaks, etc). Gripes: Showed up about an hour or so after the window provided by the operator. Clean up could have been better.

Description of Work: We had sewer back up in the basement. It occured over the weekend. The response was quick and the problem was diagnosed and solved.

Description of Work: Appointment scheduled day prior for 7:30 next morning. Dispatch called to say they had an emergency and would be late, 8 hours later and still no plumber. Rescheduled my entire day to make room for this appointment.

Description of Work: We had a sewer problem. I called them to clean out the sewer drains in & out. They were scheduled for noon but did not show up till almost 3pm. The technician was very knowledgable, thorough and professional. There was one drain he could not get to because he could not get the plug off. That drain seems to be ok but was not cleaned out. You would think for almost $700.00 all the drains should have been cleaned.
