Response from Hill & Valley Landscaping LLC
This review came (4) months after our initial meeting, without ever hearing from the homeowner about any concerns. Hill & Valley is very surprised by this review, considering that many of the statements are inaccurate and false. The initial estimate in 2011, which was based on a referral from a relative, was made before we had joined IMS Barter. Their recent estimate was on April 9th 2014. The customer was told that they would receive their estimate within 7-10 business days. They called on April 22nd (9 business days) regarding the status of their estimate, and were told that we were working on it. Their estimate was emailed to them that same day, and in this email the customer was also told that we were not accepting IMS Barter at this time. The estimates from 2011 and 2014 were completely different projects. The initial project was at a cost of $2,900.00 + tax, basically a cleanup and grading. The current project was at a cost of $6,300.00 + tax not $7500 as stated. Their new quote included much of the same work from 2011 plus, grading, plantings, window wells, burying downspouts, stump grinding, edging and mulch. The estimate also included (10) plants of (4) different varieties. We were unaware that the customer was unhappy with the estimate. According to our call log the homeowner never contacted us except for the one call regarding the status of the estimate. On May 8th we did a routine follow-up call to the homeowner. We left a voice message asking if they had a chance to look the estimate over or if they had any questions. We never heard back from them until now. Kevin Sannes, Owner
