Went extremely well. I contacted Jeff via email and he responded next day. We agreed on a time to get an estimate and he was right on time. Rough estimate was given on-site since I had not made final decision on tile. I completed tile selection (had to re-select since I chose tile that did not have the bull nose piece options that I wanted - totally my fault I did not specifically ask). Once final tile selection completed, I scanned and emailed the cost to Jeff who called me that night to finalize the estimate given tile price. Due to another job getting rescheduled, he was able to coordinate with plumber and start job end of the following week - much sooner than anticipated. He pulled off old surround, removed previous old drywall, installed, taped and mudded cement board around enclosure, tile and grouted subway tile then completed the install of the new shower fixtures. He also coordinated efforts around the plumber who re-plumbed for new shower control, shower head and tub faucet. Job was complete in two days as promised. Jeff took the time to clean up the evening of the second day consolidating things in the tub - which was great! He also did a great job cleaning up when he was done - a quick final wipe down of the bathroom and a steam cleaning of the bathroom and hallway floor and all cleanup was done. He was pleasant and easy to work with - and the tile job looks terrific. I highly recommend.. One note - the price included the tile, grout, his labor and other materials. I supplied the new shower control/faucets and will be receiving a separate bill from the plumber which was estimated at around $250 for original plumbing work. Plumber was also able to snake both tub and sink drains while here (so expect it to be higher - but happy he was able to squeeze that in while here).
Description of Work: Removal of old plastic tub surround, cement board, tile bathroom surround. Also coordinated with plumber for new shower control and fixtures. Job done in 2 days - both approx 8:30 to 3:30.. Was great experience!!

Emailed Jeff- he responded the same day. He made an appointment to come out a few days later to give an estimate. He was on time and easy to talk with. He gave us a quote and we were able to book a date about a week later. He came today to do the work. HIs work is excellent, he cleaned up after himself- he worked very hard.

He came to do an estimate and ended up doing the job. No problems. He cleaned up after himself and said we shouldn't use the tub until the next day. Easy way to go work done.
Description of Work: Jeff did a regrout and seal job for me. He also in the past installed a shower door. He is a true craftsman. He is a perfectionist. His prices are fair and he certainly does the work promptly. Years ago he tiled a complete wall for me and I was happy to see that he was still working. He's the best in what he does.

Jeff was very responsive via email and on the phone. I sent him all the details (tile we purchased, measurements, etc) via email and he was able to give me an estimate without seeing the space. This was important to us because we hadn't closed on the house yet but needed to have him complete the backsplash as soon as we did close, before we moved in. His price was very good (half that of someone else I contacted), so we went with him. He showed up on time the day of the install and completed everything in one day. He did a good job and cleaned up everything before he left. My one qualm is that he listened to political radio, which I could have done without. Lots of negative/hateful conversations that I didn't care to hear in my home. Other than that, Jeff did a great job.

Jeff had given us an estimate on some tile repair in our bathroom some time ago, but things got in the way of having it done until just recently. While we couldn't find the original estimate, my wife called him to discuss the project. He was able to find his original estimate and agreed to do the work. He called the night before to confirm his arrival time and to ask a few questions pertaining to the job itself. The next day he arrived promptly and completed the work as requested quickly and cleanly. The work he did is exceptional. You can hardly tell there was any repair work done at all. We have an older home and the tile is tight-set with very little grout between tiles. The tile in place is at leat 50 years old so to be able to match up the new tile so seamlessly was impressive. I can not emphasize enough how pleased we were with Jeff's professionalism and quality of work. We will definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Replaced tile in area above bathroom sink where it had been pulled away from backing due to previous remodeling by former home owners.

Hello ! I Made an 8:00 am appointment to see the member's tile situation , to see if re-doing another installer's work was feasable .After a 5/10 minute discussion of his options -- including less drastic means than 'Total-ripout', I determined it was a project I wasn't willing to take on - mainly because of the difficulty of removal of tile & backing going up to the ceiling , and other unknowns of this poor installation . I'm sorry , I don't take on ALL jobs --just like every installer I've ever known...and when I determined as much , I let him know ..and moved on. I did not try to waste his time , but a look-see was the only way to find out if the project made sense for me to attempt -- which prompted his initial call. Wow!!! Jeff gave us the impression that he's extremely good at what he does, and it's absolutely true! He showed up on time every day and worked hard during the oppressive heat wave we had that week (we have no A/C!). The finished product looks fantastic--much better than the original tile job I did myself a number of years ago. The job took four days--a day for tear-out, two days of install, and a day of grouting. He even stopped by on Saturday to add the final caulking touches. If you're looking for someone to do an outstanding job for a very reasonable price, give Jeff a call!
Description of Work: Job was to remove existing tile around a bathtub, install new backer board and tile, which included tiling around an inset glass block window, as well as putting a tile baseboard around the bathroom floor. To add to the complexity, we used pencil-thin natural stone pieces as a border.

Couldn't ask for a better installation...
Description of Work: Contacted Jeff Adair (Cream CityTile, Bath & Kitchen), advising h[m we were accepting his bid & he brought the contract out the next day. We discussed what had to be done & told him we had to have it completed by the middle of July, due to a gathering we were having. He co-ordinated his schedule with the insallation of an exterior rear door & storm door. He tore & cut up the top layers of lineoleum & plywood the first day and hauled it away. The second day, we had to attend a funeral an asked if he could skip that day and he did and returned at 8:30 the following day and began removing the old baseboard and quater round in the kitchen, rear entry hallway and the bathroom, (We did have a second bathroom to utilize). The next two (2) days he layed all the tile. Friday, he returned, layed the grouting, replaced the moulding, quater round, moved appliances back, re-installed toilet, cabinet, and sink. We were extremely happy with the new appearence of the porcelain floor, as is every one who has come over. Thanks again Jeff & Angies List, another succesful & happy customer.

When I initially contacted Cream City Tile, the owner replied to me the next day. He came out and completed an estimated a day after our first phone call. The estimate was professional and fair and his price was excellent. Jeff suggested some tile shops and I selected the subway tile and Jeff provided another estimate based on the tile I selected. Jeff provided a new price everytime it changed based on tile selection etc. I always knew where I stood with price. We schedule a time for the install; Jeff estimated a 3-day job and it took 3 days. The bathroom looks fantastic. I have 2 more bathrooms to remodel and Jeff will be tiling both of them.

I don't think that this guy warrants all the "A" grades he has showing. I think he priced the job somewhat high after he looked at our home. He was polite, but, he was messy. As he carried his equipment up the stairs, we saw dust coming out the back end of the machine. We had to ask him to remove his shoes the second time he showed up. He quoted recaulking the entire shower, but, he only did as much as he thought needed to be done. We saw where the materials changed color and had him come back to finish what he had quoted. He laid down a piece of his equipment on one of the rugs in the bathroom. It melted the back of the rug to the floor and we had to throw it out. Proceed with caution with this contractor.
Description of Work: We have a large master bathroom shower, our home is 12 years old. The caulking was breaking down in various areas and we needed a professional to clean it out and regrout and caulk the area.

Response from Cream City Tile & Bath Remodeling
My number one priority at Cream City Tile & Bath Remodeling is quality workmanship, affordable price, and excellent customer service. I pride myself on maintaining this level of professionalism. I have earned the Angie’s List “Super Service Awards” in 2010, 2007, 2005, 2004, 2003. Not only do I want your business – I want your repeat business and the customer to feel totally satisfied with a job well done. Customer referrals, repeat customers, and Angie’s List, account for a large part of my business. Customers should expect great value for their hard-earned dollar. If they have any problems or concerns upon job completion, a satisfactory response from Cream City Tile and Bath Remodeling is only a phone call away. I strive to let customer’s know that my work is 100% guaranteed, and to let me know immediately if there are any questions or concerns. If the members were not 100% satisfied, I genuinely apologize. The members initially reported concern was handled within a few days after it was brought to my attention; it was corrected; and I assumed the customer was totally satisfied. No follow-up communication was ever received noting that the customer was dissatisfied until this posted report, four months after job completion. In my 36 years in the business, I have never before experienced such a negative review. My job pricing is based upon materials + estimated time for job completion + travel time. I work in all parts of the metro area; I have never based my pricing on the area a client lives, or the quality of their home. The home remodeling / tile field is very competitive, so it is imperative to keep my prices reasonable. I do respect the customer’s property and make every effort to take precautions to keep dust and debris localized to the work area. Every regrout or remodeling job is different. Sometimes a customer requests only a limited part of a wall or floor to be redone; all of it; or as I understood by verbal agreement in this case “whatever needs to be done” inside the shower stall. I do thank the the member for bringing their concerns to my attention. I plan to begin implementing a job follow-up survey to make sure that 100% job satisfaction has been received and address any problems in a timely manner. Angie’s List customers are very important to me. Please let me know what I can do to renew your confidence in my services. Please contact me at (414) 421 9293 to let me know how I can resolve this matter to your satisfaction. Cream City Tile and Bath Remodeling is committed to excellence and quality service. I hope that my reputation for superior work over the past 36 years and affordable pricing with an emphasis on detail, will ensure your continued confidence in my workmanship. Overall, working with Cream City Tile was fantastic. I had three estimates given for the job. He was the lowest of the three. He took three days to complete the job when the others were stating that it would take 5 or 10 days! When we picked him, he was able to fit us in almost immediately. The thing that impressed me the most was how flexible he was. We like the existing tile floor in our home and we didn't want to remodel the entire room. Jeff worked with us to fix the portions that we wanted to fix. My wife and I picked out the tub, tile, and fixtures. Jeff took care of the rest. The end result of the job is exactly what we wanted. It looks great. A great value and overall great experience.
Description of Work: We had the bathtub and surrounding tile walls replaced in our master bathroom. Jeff and his plumber ripped out the old walls and cast iron tub. The plumber replaced the shower control and trap. They installed the new tub. Finally, Jeff replaced the existing wall with concrete board and tiled around the tub.

This was a messy, tough job that I started myself by removing the old grout from about 1/3 of the tiled walls. I hired Jeff to finish it up because it was just too much for this homeowner as a do-it yourself project. I was glad to find him on Angie's List. Not many ceramic tile contractors will regrout tile. Our contract was verbal but had not asked for a written estimate. Jeff did the work himself and came back on a Sat morning to touch up the caulk around the glass block window and the tub surround. Keep in mind that he was caulking in the middle of the winter on an outside wall over backer rod so some adhesion issues were likely. He promptly and graciously took care of a few weak spots. He also took the time to remove and replace grout in one small area that he had overlooked. He charged me a very reasonable price for the work done. I would hire him again. My only caution is about the thin layer of grout dust over everything on the 1st floor of my 2 bedroom ranch. I would suggest discussing dust control before the work begins.
Description of Work: Jeff removed and replaced the original 1954 grout + a layer of "patch up" grout that was applied over it at some point in a bath. The full bath measured 5' X 8' with varying amounts of ceramic tile on all four walls. He installed new grout mixed with an additive to make it self-sealing. The job included caulking around a glass block window, a vanity, the door, the perimeter of the room where the floor and walls meet and the tub surround which had a gap up to 3/8" to be spanned.

Description of Work: Jeff was great to work with and I will definitely use him for future tile projects. He removed old, gross toilet, sink and yucky tile, installed new, beaufitul tile and sparkling clean tolilet and sink. Jeff came back an additional day to apply a finish coat of plaster to an area where he'd removed the old toilet paper holder. Jeff showed up promptly and was finished quickly.
