Description of Work: This was a big deal. I have used Justin Castleman twice and he did fine work both times. He is a communicative man and explained thoroughly just what he was doing each time. I felt his charges were very much on the high side, yet paid them because I needed the work done. He is a highly qualified plumber and teaches the skill. Because of this, I know I am taking care of things thoroughly and very well. But I have certainly gotten plumbing done at a more reasonable cost. I went back to Justin for the 2nd job because the more reasonably priced plumber did not return my calls in a timely fashion and I had to get the job done. Justin responded, and I hired him back.

Description of Work: Put in a new kitchen faucet. Ours was leaking. Was prompt and quick and professional. Only problem was the new hardwear leaked and the sprayer was weak. Description of Work: They did a great job and I was happy with the quality of the work. However, the price was very expensive even given the discount. I had the impression that they took the discounted price and just added what they needed to make it profitable. I have had the same work done by twice now by other master plumbers and the price was much less and they offered no discount.

Description of Work: Outside water faucet leaking badly, not possible to fix it with replacement parts. Water had to be turned off/on inside the basement. Newer, higher grade faucet with weather freeze-prevention feature installed with all internal plumbing connections. Very nice technician, competent in his trade. Will use for future plumbing needs.

Description of Work: We first call them to unclog our toilet, which they did very satisfactory at a reasonable cost. We then asked if they would be able to look at the septic system at a lake property that has had problems with toilet flushing and overall slow draining into the system. They came out to the property at the time stated and rooted out the pipes and replaced a broken pipe. We are very satisfied with their survice.

+ -1 moreDuring the recent rains, our sump pump failed and we were forced to call a plumber on a Saturday evening for repair! Justin arrived at our home within 45 minutes with a new sump pump to be installed. Although it's never fun to pay double time to a contractor for an emergency call, we were SO happy with Justin and his work. He was extremely knowledgeable, fast, and went above and beyond to help us through the storm. From laying cloth down on the floor so he wouldn't get shoe prints everywhere to e-mailing us with more info on an unrelated problem, we couldn't have asked for a more friendly, competent plumber.

Description of Work: Install appliances for my kitchen remodel project (dishwasher, sink, faucet, gas stove). Gas line needed to be moved, as well as water lines, drains, vents. In addition, a first floor laundry room was built and Justin did the washer/dryer installations. He also installed fixtures for a half bath.

My husband told him how to position the washer and dryer, and it turned out they opened with the doors hitting each other, instead of opening in opposite directions. Justin fixed the problem without charge. We have always found him to be fair and professional.

+ -1 moreHe called me right after I called him to set up the appointment. He re-grouted to temporarily stop the problem until I could re-grout. What I loved was that he used drop cloths in the bathroom, under the sink and whatever he was leaning on, and picks everything up and takes it out. Very respectful of my home.
Description of Work: He repaired a leaky kitchen faucet. There was also a leak under the shower stall in the basement, and he pressurized the plumbing to make sure it wasn't a pipe - and it was found that it was grouting that had released.
