Tim and Chuck were more than I could have asked for. We needed some rooms painted, and they did that and more. Tim gave us help with choosing colors, and also suggested we use some of the paints we already had. He created a great color, and saved us $$. Chuck repaired as small portion of masonry he noticed, and Tim sanded and stained our front door at the end of the last day they were here. Tim Bast helped out from the beginning, worked around my schedule, and even suggested some excellent paint options that maximized our spend on paint. The painting itself was done very meticulously and quickly. They were at my house for just about two full days. Would definitely work with him again.

Tim was fantastic to work with. I contacted him and he came out on the same day and gave me a quote, made some suggestions on color that I hadn't thought of and was able to get me on his schedule within 10 days. He arrived promptly when he said he would to start the job, and finished in the time frame he quoted. We have sand textured walls and he was able to repair a damaged section where our dog chewed through the drywall as if it was never there. The color looks absolutely beautiful. Tim is professional, honest and does fantastic work. I would definitely recommend him for your painting project.

As noted in my previous review, we wanted to hire Tim again for another project....living room and back hallway. We did just that and Tim delivered the same outstanding product as the first time. While prepping the living room he noticed our front door was extremely weather beaten as well as our windowsills. Tim explained what he could do to remedy the situation and after sanding, priming , painting and sealing the door and sills look fantastic. Tim and Chuck arrive on time, work well as a team and I would highly recommend Bast Painting !

We met with Tim to discuss the project and liked him from the start. He was professional yet very personable and his knowledge and years of experience came shining through as he explained what would be needed. We had somewhat of an idea of what colors we wanted but Tim made a few suggestions which we decided to go with and it turned out to be a great decision. The colors complimented each other beautifully ! Everything went well on paint day. He and Chuck arrived on time, moved some furniture as needed and put down tarps making sure remaining furniture, counter tops and floors were not exposed. The job was completed and I couldn't be happier. Painting was done to perfection and when he noticed our kitchen fan could use a cleaning, he had that taken care of too. I've had interior painting done on two separate occasions in the past but neither one came close to the work done here today. We were so pleased that before Tim left, we discussed having him return to paint two additional rooms. We highly recommend Bast Painting.

Tim provided a timely and reasonable estimate. He was able to schedule the work when I wanted it done. He and Chuck arrived promptly and worked quickly, carefully and competently. They completed the work in one day even though they had allowed a day and a half for the project. Tim had suggested a slightly different wall color than I had been contemplating and I went with his suggestion and was happy that I did so. Project turned out great! Wonderful job on the ceiling repair. An extra bonus: when a door between the garage and the sunroom suddenly wouldn't open, Tim turned into a locksmith and, after much frustration, managed to get the door off and a new lock on it. Meanwhile, Chuck found the vacuum cleaner and had everything looking spotless after putting the furniture back to it's original location. He casually told me that he found a paper wasp nest between the front door and the screen door, so he took care of that, too! Great painters, great guys. Tim didn't even want to charge me for changing the lock on the door, but I did add a bit extra to the bill.

Contacted for estimate around May 23, contacted by Tim on the 24th. Came to home for estimate on the 27th and received estimate that evening. Scheduled to July due to commitments I had. Came Wed July 7th & 8th and at that time was determined he would do all trim work also. Requested 2/3 payment to be made on the 8th, which was done. As I have a dog, asked for minimum of 1 day notice to get dog to doggie day care but next time came contacted me about 8 pm on Sunday evening and was coming Monday morning so was not able to take dog to doggie day care. He assured me she would be fine - she was. Then returned July 13th to complete job, and I marked all areas of painting that were missed, or needed touch up. As I have textured walls, you don't see it all. Also some of the trim needed to be redone and I thought they had only put on one coat. Requested balance of payment to be cash. Went through the house and asked about several 'misses;' the archway upstairs was two different colors and had to be repainted. Some trim had missed spots and large drips of paint. Most of this was corrected. Over the weekend I then ended up spending over 3 hrs cleaning up paint splatter, off the floor, my floor lamp had been used for additional light and covered with paint splatter, paint on dining room chairs and almost every piece of wood furniture had some type of splatter on. Painter doing trim kept a wet paper towel for any drips but they weren't necessarily cleaned completely. I went through a Lot of Murphy's oil to clean up. I contacted Tim about some of the issues of more missed spots or bleed through and the thinned out paint left for touch up came out a bit whiter then the rest. He came over and showed me how to get the paint off the wood trim that was not painted and I showed him the pictures of paint, said he didn't know how that would happen as they put plastic over everything which I cannot confirm or deny as I never saw any plastic tarp. Also showed him edge of cabinet in upstairs hall that was missed and he explained how I should paint this. Also requested Sherwin Williams reflection color paint to be used but he had a preference of a paint from True Value and this was tinted to the color I wanted, however, there is a slight shade difference and now need to go to True Value to get a quart of what he used in all areas, except dining room, for the touch ups. So have to keep two different manufacturers paint, tinted the same (or close to the same) for any additional touch ups I find that are needed. I asked why they had not taped to prevent the over painting as no taping was done, and was told taping was for people with paintphobia. He could have saved me hours of work with tape, which I would have gladly done as I have plenty as I always use. Also overpainted 4 of 5 door sashes in upstairs hall

We needed to get our living room and entry hallway updated especially covering several walls that had some old sponge paint work by the previous owners, and a water stain on the living room ceiling from an old roof leak. Also part of our basement needed painting after having been repaired a few years ago leaving steel support beams, faded yellow painted walls, and assorted post rec-room residue. Tim was great to deal with at all stages of the project: from my initial inquiry and communication over the phone and his visit to look at the house, to suggestions about paint types and colors, and the completion of the actual work itself. He and his assistant showed up on time the day of the job, took meticulous care to make sure all furniture and flooring were covered, helped in moving heavy items and large window treatments (before and after painting), and did an excellent job in painting including some caulking repairs. In sum, Bast Painting and Services lived up to its well-deserved Angie's List reputation. The results look great and we will certainly contact Tim for our next painting projects.

Great experience, he was able to get to our job very quickly. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions in timely manner. Also pleasant to work with.

Tim and his worker Chuck painted all the trim on the house including eves, gables, entrance, gutters, downspouts, and doors. They did an amazing job because they took the time to match the paint, prep appropriately, paint carefully, perform finishing touches I would have never thought of, keep their prep and painting areas clean, and clean up after all the work was done. They were polite and very professional. I would not hesitate to use them again both on exterior and interior jobs. I have already referred them to four other people and the job was only finished two days ago! Thanks Tim, for an exceptional job and for making our home look great!

Couldn't have asked for a better experience! It was a true pleasure working with Tim Bast. He is extremely responsive, kind, knowledgeable, resourceful, patient, accommodating - I could go on. He responded within an hour of my request for a quote and bent over backwards to meet me later that day at a time that worked on our end. It was clear during the walk-through that Tim was very knowledgeable and thoughtful in his approach. We live in a condo building that has a particular color that must be used on balconies and other outside elements of the building, and I was having the worst time tracking down the name of the paint. Tim was so very helpful in trying to find a match and kept in communication while we kept on trying. Eventually we succeeded in finding a matching color, many thanks to him! Tim painted our master bedroom, bathroom, balcony and interior landing/railing that goes to the balcony. He also repaired some cracked drywall. All of it looks just fantastic. What a professional job! Without hesitation I would recommend his services to anyone in need of a painter. He is a class act, professionally and personally. Thank you, Tim!

Tim and Chuck did an excellent job of painting all the exterior window trim of our home. They cared so much about the quality of their work and asked me to check it frequently. They were prompt, professional, and cleaned up perfectly before leaving. They did everything in one day and we could not be more pleased! Thanks to both Tim and Chuck!

We joined Angie's List because we have a lot of work that needs to be done on our house, like windows, roofing etc. Most of the other work we are doing ourselves...mainly by my husband. As I was looking over Angie's List, I glanced over all the categories and noticed Bast Painting and his rating, so I decided to just read his reviews. I was so impressed by what everyone was saying about him...I started thinking about maybe sending him a message to get a quote on the biggest area that needed to be painted in our house as we were becoming quite overwhelmed. Tim came out and gave us a quote and time frame. He also was very helpful in helping us decide on final colors and gave my husband some very good tips on some of the projects he was doing. When the time came, Tim and his partner were very efficient , careful and very precise...They finished in two days, and even had some time left where he finished a couple of things on the outside that my husband had yet to finish.....that was such a blessing! He is very knowledgeable and everything he suggested ended up being spot on. I am already thinking of some other projects we will have him come back to do when we get to that point in our remodeling. We have received many compliments and we are extremely happy and satisfied with Bast Painting.

Tim and Chuck did an excellent job turning our bathroom from the 1970's into an updated room. They were quick and efficient and did an amazing job in just a day and a half. We would definitely hire them again.Great job, guys!

Working with Tim was great; we had a few areas that needed some extra attention as there were nail holes, drywall that needed repairing, etc. We had also taken beams out of our ceilings and needed the ceilings repaired and Tim did an incredible job there as well. We can't even see the nail holes. We are planning on having him back to do the remainder of our hallways and kitchen. we will stick with him! He gave us great color suggestions as well, and helped us decide what we wanted to do with our crown molding!

Tim and Chuck spent 2 1/2 days interior surfaces all over our house. They did an outstanding job, and were very accommodating to the scope of the work. What started out as a 2 day job took a little longer than originally planned, but Tim was able to explain everything that was going on in a timely fashion. We would absolutely recommend Bast Painting to anyone who needs interior painting done. The price was fair, and the work was high quality!

Excellent. They were not only very good at painting but they were extremely helpful in helping us select the right colors. Tim even helped tint some colors for us. They really went out of their way to make it a positive experience.

We threw everything we had at Tim and Chuck - water damaged ceilings, wallpaper, lots of settlement cracks, poor lighting and cramped work areas. Not only did they handle it all professionally, Tim even added some extra fixes and gave us some suggestions for future improvements. Workmanship was excellent and they thoroughly cleaned during and after the project. The job was finished in the allotted time and we even got 2 bathrooms done that weren't on our original request. While inspecting the completed work, we learned that the tree removal and trimming we had done last fall was expertly handled by Tim's son-in-law Tom at Limbwalkers. "All in the family" was a nice surprise that worked great for us - thanks guys!

Tim and Chuck did a great job. Quality workmanship, professional, good advice, friendly, punctual, reasonably priced....what more could you ask for. Our place looks great. Would definitely recommend.

My walls look amazing. I've never seen such perfect transitions from wall to ceiling. I'll never paint again. The drywall repair is impeccable. Tim was great at communicating and replied quickly. I highly recommend.

We hired Bast Painting to repair a couple of walls on December 19th. They did such a great job I felt very comfortable in calling them back to paint several rooms. One of the rooms I had purchased paint for, but when doing a sample on the wall, I wasn't completely satisfied with the color. When they got to that room they mixed colors with the paint I had purchased, and they were able to mix the perfect color. I didn't expect customizing the paint but I was thrilled with the outcome. Soon I will have another large area to paint and when I am ready I will be contacting this company again. They have done a fantastic job and in a very quick turnaround. They get an A+ rating from me.

These guys were prompt,courteous and neat. We knew it would take at least 2 days for job. The wood paneling in family room was very dated and required the special primer to set up for a day. When a job goes as well as you can hope with out any surprises one should be happy and we were. One thing I did not like was that they said it would take 2 days and it wound up taking 3 days in fairness to them we did come up with some extra work They missed some small areas and Tim came back promptly upon our request and addressed those spots to our satisfaction. We think it is nice that Tim- who is quite personable - did not seem to mind coming back and there was no further charge

Tim came to repair a damaged wall due to an accident while delivering an appliance to our home. I spoke to Tim today, Saturday, and he came out to our house 1 1/2 hours later. He actually lived close to our home. He was efficient, helpful and extremely professional. We are now having him paint a few of our rooms.

Tim was great to work with. He was very fast to stop by to provide an estimate. His price was significantly better than competitors and provided great ideas for paint choices and adding accent colors. When we committed to the project, Tim was great at fitting us into his schedule in a timely fashion. With regard to work, everything was great - Tim finished in the time he committed to and made the entire process easy on my family! I would absolutely use Bast Painting again and would recommend to anyone looking for interior painting!
