Bast Painting & Services

Bast painters were professional, Completed the job on time and did a fantastic job. Several walls needed repair and extra coats of paint due to prior wallpaper. The project took one day but because we were so pleased with their work, we asked them to return to do some additional rooms. I do not at all agree with the prior poor review. They must have been confused and were thinking of some other business. We would not hesitate to use Bast Painting again.

Bast painting arrived as scheduled. The job took two days rather than one as estimated. We paid $975 for services + $115 in supplies in addition to a can of primer we already had. We removed all vents, wall plates and furniture that could be removed; all of the prep including washing the walls. We also painted the trim ourselves. Mr. Bast added texture pain for no additional charge. BUT, the workmanship was rushed and poor. There were many missed spots all over the kitchen. We spent a day removing paint from the furniture and appliances. The outlets were caked with texture paint. The area behind the microwave and stove were not painted. He even forgot to paint the ceiling above our sink (he told me to slap a little paint up there after I showed him). We spent hours touching up paint and trim as we put the wall plated back in their spots. We contacted Mr. Bast who came back and was argumentative. He was less than professional and refused to listen to our concerns. He was defensive and disagreed with us in spite of the photos and spots we showed him. He did some touch up, but never apologized for the poor, poor job he and his partner did. All he had to say was, I am sorry we did not meet your expectations. What can we do to make this better? In summary, our $975 got us a job that was 3/4 finished where we did all of the prep and the clean up. It was NOT worth that money. We will not recommend his services to our family or friends. We are so disappointed in the services provided.

Bast Painting did a great job! Tim and his crew were always on time and very courteous to us. He explained what he did each day before he left, which I really appreciated. Tim even painted the inside of our entryway door and caulked around the fireplace to give it a real finished look (at no extra charge). I would definitely recommend Bast Painting! I am glad I checked Angie's List!

The work was done exceptionally well. He provided much needed advice on the color choice and the style of the painting. I now understand why he is the #1 rated painter on Angie's list. In the future, we will only use his services.

Tim Bast and the Mrs did the initial consult politely offering suggestions on which walls to accent. I was glad for the female presence and for Tim's experienced advice. They answered a lot of questions at this stage. Tim also patched, cleaned as they went, and took care of little things like taking down and cleaning the little blinds above the door, tightening the handrail for the stairs and textured a bald spot I missed. They also cleaned my garage floor! The guys were very professional and nice to work with. ALL concerns were communicated and handled. I'm happy with my walls now. Thank you guys.

Tim and his crew did an excellent job in painting my house. He truly is an artist in his profession and I would hire him again in second.

More than excellent! He responded immediately, started and finished the job in three days! He repaired a water damaged ceiling to the point that you can't even tell it was damaged!!!! Don't hesitate to hire this company. He helps with everything from color selections to clean up! Don't look anywhere else, you won't regret hiring Tim!

I am very happy with the work that Tim did. He made a recommendation on the type of stain that I should use, and also helped in my color selection. The job turned out looking better than I ever expected. Tim and Dave came out to the house as scheduled, did the work on time and both were very professional, I have a lot of plants and shrubs around the house and they were really careful working around them as much as possible. They had to do quite a bit of patching and repair work on the cedar siding. The house looks incredible now. l know Tim does mostly interior painting so I really appreciate that he found time to do my rather large exterior home.

Tim and crew were perfect. Tim helped me chose the paint colors a week prior and gave me his expert advice which I needed. He arrived on time and reviewed all work to be completed before beginning then got right to work. They checked and rechecked all surfaces at all angles to make sure the finish was perfect. And it was perfect. He went above and beyond the initial scope of work by patching additional holes and finishing a built in china cabinet. They were very clean and professional. I did not include the price but it was very reasonable.

Excellent service. Looks amazing. Tim and Dave really know how to do quality work. The white doors on the inside of our home have a beautiful satin finish. They took the time to remove the hardware from the doors in order to apply the paint evenly. Tim was able to help recommend color choices that were perfect. They were very organized and left our home as it was before they started. Highly recommend their service!

It was the most impressive contractor I ever had... was so thorough and my room looks like it should be in a magazine... went above and beyond....I will consider Bast Painting my only contractor for painting from this day forward.... got home and the space was cleaner than when I left!!! Amazing!!!

Everything went very well, from estimate/communication to cleanup, Tim and Dave did a great job. The main door looks great! I would definitely use them again for other projects!

We are more than pleased with the work Tim did. As mentioned by other reviewers, Tim made suggestions regarding color and finish that helped solidify our decisions. He was very good with communicating information, including estimated completion times. Our job was pretty tricky, given our open foyer, but they did great work. I am picky about how cutting in and trim work is done, and we are thrilled. I fully recommend Tim Bast painting.

They arrived on time each day and before they left, everything was cleaned up. I was really impressed with the tight lines in between colors and overall appearance of the rooms. They also did some drywall touch up to make sure the painting surface was smooth. Very, Very Happy. I will definitely hire them again -

Work went well. Tim and Dave did very good painting job. They did not get any paint on the woodwork and cleaned up very well. Dining room has 9' ceiling and sunroom has cathedral ceiling. Tim will help you select colors if you want. They were friendly and professional and did a great job. Tim also did drywall repair work in several spots fixing seams and cracks.

From the first day I met Tim, I was impressed with his professionalism, attention to detail and mostly his dedication to doing an excellent job. He was on time every day and worked diligently every day to get the job done. He took every opportunity to answer my questions and explain his techniques and help up with the decorating decisions to be made. He has a very good eye for what is appealing while also contributing ideas to enhance the painting. We used his ideas on multiple occasions and are very happy with how the whole job was completed. I have painted extensively and am very impressed with the quality of Tim's work in his knowledge of paints and his skills in actually laying the paint on the surfaces. His cut ins are sharp and I have yet to find any areas that needed additional paint or touching up. It is sometimes hard to find people that really care about the job they do and take pride in the product they produce to the extent that Tim does. His price was extremely fair for the excellent quality he produces and he is the ultimate professional in all aspects of his job. I highly recommend Tim Bast Painting and have already made arrangements to use him again in the future.

Tim did an excellent job. He even was able to replace an old ceiling fan with a new fixture with just a minor extra charge. There was a time constraint for the job as I was having the floor refinished, and he was able to complete the job in the time required. The room looks great!

Very well- Tim was very responsive and prompt with getting back to me. Tim and his wife came to do a consultation and had some good ideas for our paint choices. His crew was fast and efficient and I appreciated that they cleaned up after themselves so my house was immediately usable again after they left. We plan to hire them again in a few months to do a few more rooms!
