I wanted to have some of my rooms painted, but did not know exactly which colors to choose. Tim came over for an estimate and assisted me in choosing the colors for the rooms. Everything turned out great. Tim was responsive to my e-mails and phone calls and answered the questions that I had. I plan on contacting Tim if I have any future painting needs.

Tim Bast and his crew went above and beyond their duties. My sister and I hired Bast Painting after our father passed away and needed to have a lot of work done to the home to get it ready to rent. Tim made this time so much easier for us. Tim went through and was very professional and helpful. He took care of so much more than was expected. My sister and I are so thankful to Bast Painting and his crew.

Tim did a fabulous job painting my father's home, there was alot of staining due to years of cigarette smoking. When the job was finished the house looked beautiful, fresh and clean. Tim did a fabulous job, I would highly recommend him, he is punctual, courteous and professional ( he was also very helpful in choosing colors). I am very satisfied with my results!

I called Bast Painting and Tim (Bast) showed up on time at 8:30 AM, and worked continuously, except for a 20 minute lunch, until job completion, about 5 PM. Tim's helper arrived about 9 AM and also worked all day. I monitored their progress and both were always busy and Tim regularly telling his helper what he wanted done. They worked good as a team. In terms of what was done, the drywall on all walls was patched and sanded. Then a coat of primer was applied, followed by a coat of texture. Finally, the walls were painted with the color we selected. Additionally, the ceiling was painted, 2 large sliding closet doors, the entry door, and baseboard molding, all with at least 2 coats. As needed, Tim cleaned or sanded the surfaces before painting so the paint would adhere and look smooth. The room looks fantastic. My wife's comment was "Wow, they really did a great job." We had used Tim in the past and each time he worked hard and makes sure the work is up to his standards, constantly evaluating his work. If he sees something he doesn't like, he will take care of it even it is late in the day, has to open a can of paint, and dirty a brush. I have recommended Tim to my friends and neighbors and will be calling him again.

Tim was late for the estimate and basically wasted my time in getting an estimate from him. He wastes time talking alot and promoting himself. It is obvious he is getting older and therefore able to select only the jobs and locations he prefers to do. I wasn't impressed when he described his painting jobs and how he prefers to paint the wood finish on the baseboards......NOT!

I want to start by saying I highly recommend Bast Paining for your interior paint projects. The job that I had completed was ceilings (bedroom/kitchen/hallway) and hallway walls. Tim was extremely responsive to calls and e-mails (never had to wait more than a few hours for a reply) and also punctual. The quality of the work was exceptional. Tim even patched up a crack in our ceiling and offered to patch other areas outside of the project of work at no additional cost which just shows his passion for providing a high quality service. I was asked to do a walk through after completion of work to make sure I was satisfied (which I was). Overall, great experience and will definitely use Bast Painting again if I ever have another painting project.

This was the second time we hired Bast Painting to do work for us. The results the second time around were as excellent as the first. The quality was incredible; their attention to detail from planning the colors to the final "walk through" was great. Our walls needed some serious repair and priming and they did a fantastic job. I felt the team went above and beyond what was originally planned; I have twice been impressed with their personable, professional and neat qualities. I've never hired anyone to paint. I've always been that guy. My wife informed me we were hiring someone. I had no idea what that cost. The first quote was for $1400. No way in helll..... Tim came recommended from a co-worker of my wife. He came in at half price. That's doable... Tim came in 10 minutes before scheduled. His assistant for the day did not show up cause of car problems. Tim did a better job then I EVER would have done. He explained everything, including the paint he was using. He was polite, professional, and made small talk. He cleaned up after himself. You would never know he was there What more can you ask for?? We are in the process of redoing our woodwork and all the door trim and baseboard was off. He adjusted his quoted price for the work saved on his part We will use Tim Bast in the future

This is the second time that we have used Tim Bast. He has an excellent eye for the right color to use. This last time he blended 5 partial gallons together to come up with "Tim's Nutmeg" and that color turned out perfectly. I would use Tim anytime I needed a great painter.

Tim came over to give an estimate on the painting job also recommended colors which I am so glad he did trust me he knows his colors. He along with his helper Dan did a fantastic job even went over and beyond what he contracted to paint. Tim was very professional and prompt. He did an excellent job blending in the repair to the existing finish..the transition looks flawless...he even recommended a color of paint we absolutely loved!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Great! Tim did a fantastic job for a reasonable price. He suggested that he paint an additional wall (no additional cost) so that the kitchen would be differentiated as a separate space--where to begin/end color in an open space is often a bit of a dilemma.

Tim and his team are incredibly professional, great attention to detail, and do beautiful work. Tim is there when he says he is going to be, stays within the budget agreed upon, is careful working in your home or business and incredibly patient. I increased the scope of my project considerably. Tim didn't balk at the changes - worked through them with me. We will be hiring Bast again, and I would strongly recommend! Wendy HJ

Tim and his partner did an excellent job of fixing drywall damage in 2 bedrooms resulting from my wife and I removing wall paper. Tim suggested we paint over wall paper on our stairway wall to save time, money, and eliminating the risk of damaging that drywall. We were skeptical about the wallpaper bleeding through, but Tim assured us it would look great, and it does! Tim first put primer over the wallpaper, then put a texture coat over the primer, and then 2 coats of paint. You do not see any trace of wallpaper even 2 inches away. Tim also applied texture to the two bedroom walls that had drywall repair and the walls look great, no flat/shinny spots. Tim mixed his own texture and applied it to ensure an even coat without clumps. Tim also fixed two ceiling cracks. Tim's partner focused on woodwork, ceilings, and walls and it all looks fresh and clean. As I noted in a the previous review, Tim comes to work and is customer focused. Tim's partner could not make it the last 2 of the days of this phase of painting and Tim finished what needed to be done by staying longer and coming in on his normal day off.

Tim did an amazing job on an incredibly difficult project. I had very thick textured plaster that needed to go from dark to light as well as a bunch of cedar paneling to paint. Tim stayed late to make sure the job was done on time for my new tenants and even came back the next day to follow-up, taking care of additional items that were well above and beyond what he was hired to do. He did a professional job, charged a fair price and was a pleasure to deal with. I plan to hire him again for my next project. I couldn’t be happier with my finished project, you will not go wrong with this guy!

They came and did exactly what we asked...and more. They were efficient, friendly and made us feel entirely confident in what they were doing. They cleaned up beautifully and did a perfect job! I will definitely recommend them and absolutely use them, again.

Weather cooperated for 2 days of exterior painting. Tim and Dave worked 2 full days with virtually no breaks except for lunch. Most work was done with 2 coats and where time did not permit, my wife and I finished with a 2nd coat on 4 door frames. Tim and Dave also did some repair work measuring and cutting to size an old piece of siding to cover a fascia toe board and 2 small sections of garage door framing. The repairs turned out excellent, as if it was original. Some caulking and innovative repair work was done on the framing of some of the screen and glass storm door inserts. I don't believe Tim and Dave could have possibly done more in the 2 days they were here and I look forward to them returning to start interior work and to finish remaining exterior work once the weather permits.

WONDERFUL! Tim was his usual, professional self! Tim and his crew are punctual and thorough and also do a great "clean up." They finished the job in one day and I am very pleased again! I will not hesitate to call him again.

He was competitive and fair priced. I really like about him was he was more of a minimalist. He took a look at the job and try to understand the least scope instead of expanding. He put one coat on and I thought maybe we needed a second. He could have easily pushed me toward a second coat to make $700 more. I feel like he was honest. His clean up was good and neat. He was very quick to get back to me for a quote and he started right away. He was professional and friendly. The work was done with a great deal of care but yet he wanted to get the job done. He was quick but didn't make a mess. He was detailed orientated.

Tim was so pleasant to work with. His knowledge on this craft shows as well as his love to help create the look you're going for in your home. He came in and efficiently finished all spaces within one day! Super clean and neat, along with those perfect crisp paint lines. They even hung pictures back up and fixed a chip in one of the walls at no cost! We would HIGHLY recommend Tim to all of our friends and family. Pricing was extremely competitive and felt very comfortable hiring him for our home. He won't disappoint!

Bast Painting did an excellent job on our entire house. They have 200+ positive reviews and I can see why. We got estimates from 4 of the top rated painters on Angies List and I'm so glad we went with Bast. His price was the best and to say he went above and beyond is an understatement. Not only did Tim and Dave do an excellent job on the painting (including covering some seriously ugly wood paneling), they also stained and fixed the trim around our patio doors, evened out the texture on several of the walls, fixed cracks, and stained the scratches our dog left on the interior doors. Our house looks so clean and fresh! And great communication too. Tim kept us up to date on progress and made sure we were happy the work. Definitely hire Bast!!
