Tim, spent about 6 days on the job. Very professional.

Exactly at 9 a.m. Mon., the doorbell rang. Bast Painting had arrived. Same punctual scenario for the 4 days Tim was here plus short lunch breaks & focused work. He was professional, courteous and extremely helpful in a) suggesting the colors for living room & dining room & b) creating our own custom color when the color chosen was a bit "off". How often do you get a painter who's also a color consultant? We definitely would hire Tim Bast again!

I first contacted Tim in November 2011, desperate to find someone to refinish the woodwork as I had ordered new window treatments and wanted to get the woodwork done before they--and a houseful of company for the holidays--arrived. He not only responded the first day, but squeezed me in and did a masterful job refinishing very old, and very difficult windows. Because he was very busy and I didn't need all the bedrooms done before Christmas, he came back last week and finished the job.

I needed some painting done and didn't want to attempt it myself so I contacted Tim Bast who returned my call the same day. I had talked to him before and now was ready to have the work done. Tim and Steve were right on schedule. After looking over the job they got right to work moving furniture out of the way and covering the rest. They covered the furniture, floors, carpeting, everything. I wanted an accent wall and was sure that I had the right wall. Well Tim gave me a suggestion for a different wall that would show off the colors better. I am so glad that I took his advice. I am so pleased and happy about the new look of my living room. The wall Tim chose is perfect and gives my living room some class!!!! These two guys are great! Very friendly, professional and helpful. I would not hesitate to use them again. In fact I have 2 bedrooms that will need painting and I will be calling Bast Painting when I am ready. They also cleaned up after themselves, picked up everything, and placed all the furniture back where it was. You would never have known they were even there!! If you need professional, honest, hardworking guys for any painting I would highly recommend Tim and Steve. They were great and I absolutely love the new look!!!!! Thanks again Tim.

We moved into our 70+ home nearly 25 years ago. I'm embarrassed to say that the bedroom and bathroom have never been repainted in all the years we've lived here. The ceiling in the bathroom was in bad repair as well as a wall in the bedroom. Tim and his men repaired the damaged bedroom wall, and bathroom ceiling, and put in new caulk around the tiles. Both rooms look better than when we first moved in! The colors are beautiful. Tim did all he could to make sure that my rooms were painted the colors I wanted. He always came to work when he said he would and he had a pleasant, professional personality. The project was done quickly and cleanly. I am extremely happy to live in the rooms!

We were moving into an apartment (about 1500 square feet). We had to get in fast so we were calling painters on New Year's Eve. Tim not only got back to us quickly, but gave us an estimate the next day. He painted right on schedule and the work was just beautiful. Very high quality. We were very pleased with the whole experience.

We contacted him and he got back to us the same day and was available to come over the next day! He was very helpful and provided wonderful suggestions. We ended up going with a different painter who gave us a little lower bid, but Tim was competitive as well. He made sure to follow up with us to see what we could improve on as well.

Tim was very responsive when I called for an estimate. Following the estimate, he was able to start the work shorty thereafter. Tim and his team were prompt, courteous, personable and most efficient. Tim provided valuable suggestions in regards to paint colors and type of paint. I added some additional work which Tim and team were able to complete within the original timeline. Tim is the only person I would call should I need additional work completed.

It went extremely well. Tim and his team were punctual, moved furniture and prepared the walls for painting. The paint work itself is excellent. They clean up the area after the job extremely well. They also noted that I had a broken light bulb in a socket and offerred to remove it for me which they did! The also fixed my bathroom door which is difficult to close---they tightened the hindges.All these extra little things on their own. It is a pleasure to work with Tim and his team and I would highly recommend them to others.

They did a great job. I liked the quality of their service and I liked dealing with the owner and their promptness. I would definitely use them again in the future.

A couple of weeks ago, I started stripping the wallpaper from my kitchen. I was in no hurry to get the job done, but I got bored with the task very quickly and I was tired of the mess. I decided I’d rather call a professional to get the job done, so I called Tim. He called back right away. After the first phone call, we communicated mainly via e-mail which was my preference. When Tim came over to estimate the job, he offered suggestions on stripping wallpaper, if I wanted to finish that part myself. But, I decided that I’d rather let Tim finish up for me. Tim stripped wallpaper over about half of my kitchen, applied 2 coats of paint (1 primer and 1 topcoat) to both my kitchen and my hallway, and painted the ceiling. It only took 2 days and $520 for all that work. Well worth the cost!!! I would absolutely hire Tim again. The only improvement that I would suggest is that Tim purchase the paint. He made suggestions for what to buy. I didn’t get the right kind, so I had to exchange it. If Tim had bought the paint instead of me, it would’ve been done right the first time.

Tim and helper arrived on time and worked very quickly and professionally. Tim explained the small drywall repair he felt needed to be done and finished on time and cost as estimated. Good communication via phone and email. Will hire again.

Tim and his crew worked on 4 apartments for me and did an excellent job in all of them. The apartments had probably not looked that good since they were first built 80 years ago. On top of doing a great job, Tim charges very reasonable prices, is extremely reliable, is very responsive to all phone calls and emails, and is an amazingly fast and efficient worker. I don't even bother calling other painters for quotes any more -- Tim beats them all.

The project went extremely well. Even before we officially hired Tim, he called with helpful suggestions about the job based on his experience. We threw him a curve by adding more colors than we had originally discussed and he took that in stride. He made himself available on fairly short notice because our new carpet was ready to be installed. Tim and his crew showed up on time and ready to work. All were personable, professional, very careful with our belongings and respectful of us. Very nice guys and excellent painters.

As usual, Tim Bast and his other painter, Tim, arrived right on time. They set up very quickly and even moved some of the heavier pieces of furniture. Tim patched the drywall and then both painters went about the painting. They even did a contrasting accent wall in the bedroom which turned out beautifully. Once finished the painting, they cleaned up everything and even vacuumed the carpeting. Tim is always willing to do something extra if he is able and to fit it into thepainting schedule. He is also willing to travel to our home in Racine even though he is from the Milwaukee area. Some other painters don't like to travel that far. All in all, Tim Bast did another terrific job and we would not hesitate to recommend him for his efficiency, skill and reasonable prices.

Tim responded promptly to my calls and was a very friendly guy. We met for a consultation and he had good suggestions for color combos, as I was a bit unsure. He and his worker arrived on time, and I was astounded at how efficiently they painted. I thought they would have to come back another day to paint my kitchen but they finished everything in one day. They did a great job! I am very happy with the results. I would highly recommend Tim. He has followed up with email correspondance and when time permits, I plan to have him do another project.

I found Tim Bast through Angies List. He responded to my call immediately and scheduled the work to fit in with wall papering that had to follow. He is very pleasant and businesslike.

Tim Bast and associates arrived on time, patched the plaster where needed, protected the furniture and floors and meticulously painted two coats of paint on all surfaces. They closely inspected their work to assure that there were no missed areas or lighter toned areas and completely cleaned up after their work. I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Tim's painting company to friends and family and I think his rate was very reasonable. Outstanding service provider and very customer focused.

From date of estimate to job performance, within a week, I was totally satisfied. Tim paid attention to detail which, being a former medical technologist, is a huge "plus". He was punctual, professional, and did an excellent job. I would not only use Bast services again, but have no reservations recommending this painting sercice to other Angie's List memebers.

From the very first, Tim Bast was extremely responsive to our needs. He not only returned our call the first day, but since he was in the neighborhood, he came out to give us an estimate that same day. We hired him to do the job because of his ratings and comments on Angie's List and because we liked him immediately. Tim and his other painter, also a Tim, arrived right on time on the agreed upon day and immediately got to the job of removing the wallpaper from our hexagonal dinette and to fixing the drywall on the ceiling. From day one, Tim and Tim were very prompt, professional and personable. They moved from room to room in an orderly and efficient manner and worked their way through the entire job which took five and a half days - and that was working at a very good pace, especially considering the 20 ft. ceilings and the need for two coats of paint in some rooms. Tim went out of his way to make it easy on us. As there were a lot of things to get out of the way, he scheduled the rooms so we had time to move everything in a stress-free manner. One of the most wonderful things about Tim and Tim is their extreme tidiness. Not only did they set up very neatly, but they cleaned up everything as they went along and when they left for the day, one would never know that they had been there - in fact, the floors looked even better! As for the painting itself, it was stupendous! We love everything about it and the craftsmanship is top-rate. We are planning to have another room done by Tim in the near future and we look forward to having him in our home again. It is seldom that I feel I can recommend a company wholeheartedly, but Bast Painting is the exception - Tim gets an A+ rating.

He did an excellent job in a timely manner. He was meticulous and hard working. We were very pleased with the results. The cabinets required much more time and labor than was estimated, but the cost was kept quite low. I will hire Tim again in the future for similar work on our apartment units. He made himself available in his buzy schedule for any questions or concerns. A true professional who cares about the quality of his work and satisfaction of his customers.

My house was built in the 1970?s and at some point the family room must have had wooden beams, wainscoting and decorative trim. When the previous homeowners removed these, ?tracks? were left behind on the walls and on the ceiling. I wanted to paint my family room a deeper color; I knew these imperfections would be magnified by my color choice. I thought the walls and ceiling would have to be completely skim coated and sanded before repainting. Tim proposed a different solution involving skim coating the bad areas and then re-blending the texture with orange peel. I was hesitant, but willing to give it a try?as it was a money saving/time saving option. I also asked Tim to install some new crown molding around the ceiling of the room for added contrast with the darker paint color. I purchased the paint, primer, texture, and the crown molding. Tim and his crew (Mike and Tim) were at my house for almost 2 full work days. I liked the fact that Tim was on site at all times. I had to leave to take my daughter to a medical appointment, and I felt comfortable leaving them at home ? they were even willing to let my dogs out! Tim?s crew did some ?extras? for me as well: they mounted new audio speakers and a large, decorative curtain rod. I found Tim and his team to be honest and hardworking. Tim is very easygoing and it was this personality characteristic that made it easier to communicate with him about my ?wish list,? pros/cons of the re-blending, paint colors, etc. My family room has been transformed with a much needed update. The walls may not be ?brand new," but the imperfections are probably only noticeable to me and my perfectionist tendencies! All in all, Tim?s approach was probably the most cost-effective/sensible solution for a 40-year-old house. I would like to use Bast Painting & Services again for an upcoming laundry room project.
