Dale came by to inspect our basement because of concerns regarding cracks. He provided very professional and useful information, directed at helping us make correct decisions rather than simply looking to make a sale.

Dale was very thorough in his examination of my situation and gave me clear explanations of what was going on. Other firms that quoted the work insisted that the entire basement needed to be done. Dale said that we only need to fix what is leaking. Cost to do that was one third that of other bids. Crew was on time, prompt and thorough. I would definitely use this firm again.

Dale came on site the next day, identified a grading and drainage issue exterior to the house was the culprit, not the basement wall. Fantastic service.

Problem was immediately identified as a landscaping issue.

Dale came out and listened to my concerns took a look around inside and out. Then he told me his opinion but to my surprise he said it is a crack in the wall, I don't do that but I can give you the name of someone. He didn't try to sell me some thing he did do!!! I would have him out again if I have issues in the area he does!!!

Dale from Basement Specialists came out to the house, inspected the area and assured me there were no water issues. He checked the outside of the house and was able to describe to me what the other contractor had seen and how it could have appeared to be a water issue. Dale did not charge me for the service and rather said to give him a call if we ever had any other issues. He was professional and honest! I highly recommend Dale and Basement Specialists, Inc.!

Dale came out promptly to review my basement waterproofing issue (water coming into the sump pump room during heavy rains, not through the sump pump well). He checked the integrity of the foundation and walls, but then quickly determined that my problem was due to improper grading of the soil outside and the spouts coming from the gutters. I was extremely impressed by his honesty and integrity, helping me to identify the work I actually need done, even though this is not work that his company does. I highly recommend Basement Specialists.

I had moisture in my basement and I received honest feedback that no work needed to be performed inside but that my issues were on the exterior. Even though Basement Specialists doesn't do exterior work, Dale walked around my house letting me know what I could do to prevent moisture from getting into my basement. He was professional and patient the entire time.

He charged us nothing for the consultation and recommended a good landscaping service.

Excellent! BSI gave us three options for repair, all reasonably priced for the work that was to be performed. We selected the option that we felt would be the longest lasting in the long run. Although delayed a couple of days due to a flu bug that hit the crew and then weather, the work was completed in 2 days, exactly as they said it would be. The work was done very professionally and they cleaned up the site very well. All of the crew members were professional, courteous and hard working. We would highly recommend BSI!

Dale honestly evaluated the water situation and concluded that we didn't have a basement problem. We followed his suggestion to check out the furnace and the problem was fixed! Dale was correct! He even answered many of my questions during the evaluation process. He is nice, professional, and honest!!!

Scheduled an appointment and visited the site. Found that problem was not a major one. Discussed available options and advised against any repairs.

They did a great job. They even saved one of my plants. They kept the area safe and clean and even chopped up the tree they took down. They had to come back and do each corner again as it still leaked but they did it from the inside.

Overall i would say the job went smoothly. There was some delay in scheduling and i would have preferred more notice for changes in timing due to my work schedule. The crew was courteous, answered any questions and cleaned up fairly well considering the amount of dust. The project took about 5 days.

The company did a nice job of helping me coordinate a plumber and electrician (needed for the wall bracing). The Staff were on time, kept everything clean, and were professional.

We signed a contract with BSI on May 22, 2014 for the basement repair work at our home. The contract was done via email, something I value for recording purposes. My only complaint with BSI was the delay in getting a date (even approximate) for our job. We understood it was a smaller project but since we needed to remove our outside A/C unit before excavation, we needed a starting date for planning. We didn't get that until July 23rd, one week before they started work. The crew was exceptionally friendly and respectful of our property. They placed 4x8 sheets of OSB across everywhere they were driving vehicles and our lawn showed virtually no evidence of the work after they left. I document all work at my home with photos, something that can sometimes make a contractor uncomfortable. The BSI workers showed no problems with this so I snapped away. They cleaned up at the end of each day, protecting the excavation area with fencing for safety. When they finished with the exterior, all we had to do was lay some grass seed. No other cleanup or landscaping was necessary. The interior had cinder blocks that had moved and was right where my main electrical circuit boxes were located. BSI straightened the wall without my having to move any electrical and after tuck-pointing you could not tell that there had ever been any damage. My wife and I are very pleased with the work BSI did for us and would gladly use them again.

Everytime it rains I have water in the basement in my duplex. I thought I would need excavation and spend a lot of money. Basement specialists came out and did a thorough review both inside and out. He was very knowledgeable. Instead of saying ;you need this and that, he was very honest and told me it was a drainage problem and something a landscaper had to do. I was shocked because he could have said anything and I would have believed him since I'm not an expert on water problems. I would definitly recommend them to anyone.

Dale was the 4th and final contractor to stop out and look into a basement leakage issue that started up out of nowhere (no rain) weeks ago. Each of the prior three were perplexed with the situation and no one knew for sure where the issue was originating from. All had me thinking I needed new drain tile. After asking me several simple questions and quickly reviewing my basement, back yard and deck - he (within 10 minutes) identified a leaky pipe leading to the outside. No one noticed that the outside concrete block was damp. He tracked it back inside, pulled out some soaking wet insulation at the ceiling and voila ... there was the dripping pipe. I could have kissed him. I actually felt bad I wasn't giving him any business. But he gets my praise and two thumbs up for thinking outside the box.

The job took about 5 days. The crew knew what they were doing and did it well, wasting no time.

We didn't need to have work done by Basement Specialists but if I ever did I would definitely use them. Big thumbs up!

It was an excellent experience. They have an A from me. He was the only one who noticed this problem out of the several specialist i had out.
