Our bathroom was in need of updating and we decided to start from scratch.  We had a beautiful new cherry vanity installed.  The tile work really looks great and adding it to the ceiling in the shower with a recessed light was a suggestion from Scott which we really love.  Our bath accessories now match our new fixtures and also look great.  The room is so much nicer and we couldn't be happier with the job done.

I liked working with this contractor because they were very helpful with all of the decisions that needed to be made.  It can be overwhelming with the endless choices out there.  They were very budget conscious when it came to selections of out materials.  While taking on a project like this we knew it would be a disruption to our daily lives being without our kitchen for a period of time, but our contractor worked hard to complete the process in a timely fashion and the end result was well worth it and we love our new kitchen and are very pleased with the work done.

All of the projects went great. Weather became a factor in getting started on the egress window, but he kept us well informed on changing start dates. Good communication. Scott was very conscientious about making sure our lawn (and the neighbor's nearby lawn) wasn't harmed by the excavator, putting down plywood where needed. He also fixed a window header issue that another egress window company missed when they gave us an estimate. The inspector apparently was quite satisfied with how he addressed it. The window looks great and the drywall work makes it look like part of the original construction of the home.

Additionally, Scott went the extra mile -- he helped me get started on rebuilding a retaining wall that was impacted by the window well. It was a pleasant surprise to see the starting bricks moved in place (with a crushed stone foundation, too) -- something that was outside what we had expected to be included in the project.

When all was said and done, we were on budget with cost estimates. We're very pleased with the work and have recommended Scott to a family member who was looking at some remodeling projects in their home.

And regarding the other projects -- we haven't had water problems from the deck or where the rotted trim needed to be replaced.

Scott told me right away that they wouldn’t be able to do anything for a couple of months because they were full-up. However, he told me that if I take the pictures and send it to him, he could probably give me an estimate. So, that was very helpful to me, but the other guys could do it right away and they were within my budget. That’s why I went with them. Scott never gave me a quote. I would give him an A for his effort and promptness. He did get back to me right away and he did try to do the job. I didn’t want to send him more information and go through all the mess when I already had decided to get the job done right away. I have had people who accepted the job and then their grandmother’s die. The only reason Scott didn’t give me a quote was because I had decided to go with the other guy. So, I e-mailed him so that he wouldn’t have to do the job. I would use his services in the future too.

Scott was very friendly and so were all of his sub-contractors. The addition was done while we had a very sick baby in the hospital, and Scott and sub-contractors were very respectful of our circumstances. Scott was in constant communication with us throughout the project. His contractors always arrived on schedule and cleaned up after themselves. There was never a mess left behind. The entire project was completed in the time frame stated in our contract.

We love our new kitchen, the custom cabinets are beautiful along with the new granite countertops. The project moved along very well and some of the design changes Scott suggested worked out great.

American Builders did a great job, from rough framing to electrical to drywall to finish carpentry and painting. The crew was very polite and respectful of our house. Our brand new basement looks great. We would definitely use them again.

Scott and his crew were always on time, starting with the estimates, through the final cleanup. We never imagined our empty basement would end up looking this nice. Next to our kitchen (Also done by Scott) This is our favorite place to hang out with friends.

Scott was a pleasure to work with, and have working on our project. We were concerned about the process, but Scott and his team, worked in a timely fashion to complete the project with minimal interruption to our daily life. With the additional of new appliances, our kitchen has gone from being a complete eyesore to the nicest room in our house. We love our new kitchen, and love to spend time hosting in it.

He was very professional and communicated very well with us. The deck was completed on time, and right within budget. He was a pleasure to work with, I would reccomend him to anyone.

Excellent, the siding on our garage started falling off and Scott came out right away and fixed it for us. He was very prompt and the job was done well. We have not had another problem with the siding since.

I had worked with Scott in the past and I knew that as soon as we decided to put a new patio down, he was my first contractor to call. Even though I have worked with Scoot in the past, I still wanted to get quotes from other contractors to see where his price came in. After having several contractors come out, I saw that Scott's quote was right in the ballpark with other quotes. Seeing he has done work for me in the past and I was very pleased with that work, it was a no brainer to work with him again. My patio was put in in one day and a couple of days later, I was enjoying a great looking patio. The workers were very professional and did a great job of cleaning up after the project was done. In fact, they used my neighbor's driveway to haul the cement to the backyard (with their permission) and I wanted to make sure that there was no mess on their driveway. When I walked over to their driveway you could not even tell anyone used the driveway. It was cleaned, swept and hosed off. I was very pleased with the work that they provided and they will be the first contractor I call when I have another project.

Excellent. We needed dry storage that was private and lockable and Scott delivered as usual. Very clean, very well done and it was exactly what we needed.

When we decided to add outdoor dining, again our first call was to Scott. He contracted the concrete company to create the patio and handicap access ramp and then he himself built the custom pergola and all of the railings. The work was, as always, fantastic. He took time to answer questions from our customers to tell them what was going and was very polite about it everytime (which was several)

We bought our bar and restaurant in March of 2004 and the first phone call we made was to Scott. The old bar and back bar were horrible and needed to be the first thing to go. Scott came and we discussed our ideas on how we wanted the bar and back bar to look. He then took a day or so and came back to us with a drawing that incorporated all of our ideas and added a couple of his own. His "touches" were to add arches to both the back bar and the middle bar that echo what we have in our home. We were stunned that he came so very close to what we wanted on the first try and that he took the time to consider our personalities in his work. Once the work started, again he was clean and neat, very professional and a lot of fun to be around. We were doing other work while he was building the bar and back bar and he would jump in and help us when he had a chance. We were under a time frame to open the business on April 1, 2004 and though we did not officially open till April 2, Scotts work was done on time. He spent day and night, sometimes till midnight or later to get the job done and done well. I cannot give enough praise on this job, it was spectacular.

Went great, again this contractor is super neat. I did not have to pick up anything in the yard, no debris or cuttings from the gutters, soffit or facia. The work was done in a couple of days and was done while we were at work.

The job went great, I got my new kitchen in less than 2 weeks which included demo work. The demo was the best part, the contractor was very, very neat and clean and did an excellent job keeping the rest of my house clean. We have an open concept home and I was exceptionally worried about this, especially since the bedrooms have light carpeting.

I had many contractors come out and give me an estimate on my project. After listening to five or six of them, I felt very comfortable right from the beginning with Scott. He went over everything and explained what the cost of each part of the project was going to be. When he finished the project the price was exactly what he quoted me. He and his workers were very professional and arrived when they said they would. When they left for the day everything was picked up and the area looked as good as can be expected when your working on a project. Overall the work was done to my satisfaction and trust me I looked everything over. I have had many compliments on the work from visitors to the residence.

Contractor was very timely, we were under a time constraint to get the work done and Scott got the remodel done in the time we needed. Again, he was very respectful of our home and our privacy. He took a good amount of time (and patience) to go over all the detail with us several times and made several suggestions for our built in entertainment center that we had not thought of and now absolutely love.

Excellent. Contractor was very quiet and clean. He did the remodel while we were at work and was very respectful of our home. He also let our dog hang out with him since we were away instead of us having to crate him. We were very impressed and pleased with the work, his attention to detail was awesome. We could not be happier with the results.

This company did a very good job on our projects. They worked with us to problem-solve when it was necessary to disguise an unsightly a/c hose from the condenser to the 2nd floor. They also helped us to lay-out the bathroom project in order to meet our objectives. It was a customized design and they made it work which gave us the space and amenities we were looking for. They are flexible, and worked around our hours when necessary. As we work our of our home offices, it was necessary to have quiet times and they worked with us to make that happen and to get the job done within a reasonable time-frame. The crew is friendly and courteous. When they finished our projects, they cleaned up the areas they had worked in and left everything in order. We are very satisfied with the work this company has done for us.
