 + -1 moreI am completely satisfied with my experience both before purchase and after-sale support from Chris. He helped me select the best stove for my space and installed it expertly including a new chimney. He was courteous, patient, and professional at every step of the way. The sale included a great, unexpected care package of accessories (matches, kindling, gloves, thermometer, and seasoned wood for the first fire) that really made getting started a cinch. I've been in several times for advice and recommendations and Chris is obviously interested in maintaining a great working relationship after the sale. This is exactly the experience I was hoping for.
Description of Work: I purchased a wood stove from Chris and had him professionally install both stove and a new chimney.

 + -1 moreIt went great. Very professional and and no mess left behind. Chris showed me how to use the fireplace and started a fire to make sure all worked perfectly.
Description of Work: I had a new fireplace inserted into my old brick fireplace. It looks fantastic and is so efficient, using less wood and giving off so much more heat.

He was so helpful with assisting us in finding the right size and model to suit our needs. He did a great job with installation too -- quick, clean and professional. Make the trip to Fort Atkinson to see Chris you won't be sorry.

 + -1 moreWood Heat Center was exceptional! They responded to my inquiry right away. Came to my house within days to measure and inspect the current fire place and had quotes back to me the next day. The install went smoothly and quickly. Chris even had a 'welcome package' for me, including a bundle of wood, firestarter, gloves, and fire glass cleaner. It was absolutely amazing. He also checked in afterward to see how things were going. I cannot express my gratitude to Chris and Wood Heat Center. I recommend them to anyone who wants a fireplace!

 + -1 moreChris was great. He gave us a lot of good information, he came to our home to measure and ensure this would work for us, and helped us make our choice. Within a short time we had our new gas fireplace with a beautiful black and copper-trimmed front, operated with a remote control. It easily heats our entire great room and beyond. We highly recommend Chris at the Wood Heat Center in Fort Atkinson, WI.
Description of Work: After many years of having a wood-burning fireplace in our home, we decided to convert it to gas. We went to Chris at the Wood Heat Center in our town of Fort Atkinson because of the quality products and excellent reputation of Chris's business, and because we try to shop locally as much as possible.

 + -1 moreIt went great. Chris understood what we wanted and he knew the best linear fireplace for us. He worked with my contractor with the build out specs and the installation went perfectly. We couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: we needed to convert our woodburning fireplace to a gas fireplace. We wanted to replace the existing with a linear fireplace. We went to a fireplace store in Milwaukee and the salesperson just laughed at me and told me it couldn't be done. My contractor recommended Wood Heat Center and we are so glad he did.

Description of Work: Chris and his team measured and installed a Pacific Energy Neo 1.6 woodburning insert into our existing, conventional open fireplace. We had requested the larger, higher-output format, the Neo 2.5 insert, and had contracted another installer to do this after the salesman measured on site and said it would be OK. The freelance installer arrived with the Neo 2.5, and they said that our existing flue was unsuitable for installation of the required 6" liner and refused to do the job, but demanded to be paid for the flue cleaning. After contacting Chris, he came out and measured our firebox, and immediately indicated that the Neo 2.5 would not fit, but the smaller, less expensive Neo 1.6 would, and would be better suited for my home. He then personally installed it (with help), and the liner that the other firm would not. And then he reduced his install cost due to the prior flue sweeping.
