He is a very personable, polite and professional man. He explains things to you and never pressures you to do something you might not be ready for yet. He's always came to fix problems at our house very promptly and he calls before he arrives. I was very comfortable with him in my house. Definitely recommend this plumber!
Description of Work: He has done multiply things for us. Class Act!

They came quickly, were efficient and tidy, and explained what the problem was and what the best solution would be. I was delighted with the way they conducted themselves, with the quality of the work they did, and with the price.
Description of Work: Our disposal "died". I also asked about a drippy tub faucet.

Description of Work: I was out of town on business when wife called saying we had no water pressure. I knew the owner of the company so, thinking he/they would treat us reasonably, made the mistake of telling her to call them. He walked in the house, unscrewed the faucet head, replaced the screen (all in less than 15 minutes) and sent us a bill for $250! Disgusting!!!

The water utility had to replace the service valve outside before the work on the inlet valve could be done, also broke when the water utility tried to shut it off. As soon as the water utility was finished with their work I called to have the inlet valve replaced and they promptly showed up and replaced the valve without any further problems. I appreciate their prompt and professional service to get my water restored in my house.
Description of Work: The water utility had attempted to replace the water meter in my basement but was unable to do so because the inlet valve was broken when they tried to shut it off. The water pressure in the house was minimal because of the broken valve. Hired to replace this valve.

He ran his camera down and couldn't see anything. So he made an assumption on what the problem was. He wanted to dig up our basement floor and our yard all the way to the street to replace the old pipe with PVC. As he kept adding things he wanted to do the price kept rising, up to a few thousand dollars. Our neighbors had told us the previous owners had already replaced the pipe, and with the price tag rising, we opted not to go with his services. The backup ceased on its own, so I assume there was just a clog that worked its way free. But we had to pay $350 for him to come and look down there with his camera and take a bit of extra cement away from around a drain so he could see better. While we won't rule out hiring him again, he is likely not the first person we will call in the future.
Description of Work: Our sewage was backing up into our basement and we called him in to see what was going on.

Two days before my daughter's wedding we found a wet spot under a bathroom sink. I called the plumber and he came over within a few hours. He helped me get under the sink so I could see the breakage: the faucet needed replacing. He had an attractive faucet in the truck, and I agreed we should go with that. He had to go in the basement to turn off the water. When he came back up he used humor to gently explain that things were not good: the water heater was rusted out and leaking. Sure enough, you could see a big rust ring on the heater, and rusty water dripping out. The way he communicated this to me really helped prevent me from totally freaking out, as stressful as that week already was. Joshua then asked if I wanted a standard 40 gal water heater, or our old size, 50 gal. He had the 40 gal in stock, but didn't pressure me to use it. I asked for the non-standard tank. Joshua ordered the tank from out of town, had it delivered the next morning, and installed it within an hour or two. He brought a helper to carry the tank vs. using a dolly, so as to keep my carpets clean. We had plenty of hot water by that afternoon when six of us needed to get washed up for the wedding rehearsal. Joshua also helped us thoroughly dry out the wooden cabinet to prevent mold; and he taught us how to maintain the water heater. We hadn't planned for the expenditure, so we took a bit of time getting the bill paid. He never called us on that, even though it was within his right to do so. I heartily recommend Mand Plumbing to anyone. You can't beat the timely service and personal kindness.

I woke up to water all over my finished basement. I called Mand plumbing and they responded right away that morning. The plumber looked everything over and eventually re-did the sump pump hose outside. When asking what the problem was, he said he didn't know for sure, but it could be any number of things. He suggested getting the city involved to see if there were any leaks in the front line coming into the home. He also talked about digging up the front lawn to check the sewer, and other major things in the backyard (this company also has an excavating company). At one point I went downstairs and found him standing by the sump pump talking on the phone - I was paying for this! He also took other phone calls during his time at the home. He told me to call him once the water was gone. I did, and he said he would call right back-but never did. He called about 1 1/2 weeks later and wanted to get into the home that morning. I told him I was out of state, but the lack of initial follow through and expectation that I would instantly be available to open up my home almost two weeks later was frustrating. I called another plumber (Ahern-Gross) and the plumber redid the work on the sump pump hose the Mand plumber did, and told me that I should first try less expensive solutions to solve the problem, such as grade around the home (it is needed) and extend evestroughs etc. to see if I can fix the problem that way. Mand was talking about extensive work and not saying that he really even knew what the problem was-most of it would be exploratory. At least Ahearn-Gross offered less expensive alternatives that very well could solve the problem and save me a ton of money. The plumber from Ahern-Gross also worked extremely hard and did not take time to carry on lengthy conversations or talk on the phone when I was paying for the time. I will not be using Mand plumbing again. (PS. Mand plumbing also had a bill to my home the very next day. He couldn't follow up appropriately, but managed to get a bill together the very same day of his service).
Description of Work: I had water in my basement and wanted to know what the problem was. The plumber did something with the sump pump hose outside -but that was it.

Our water heater was not working. I called Joshua and he was in the neighborhood, so he came over within an hour. He quickly diagnosed and repaired a dirty igniter. Then I asked him to look at our kitchen faucet that was leaking. He diagnosed the problem in the diverter and recommended that we get parts (it is a non-standard brand). He was very professional and extremely prompt.
Description of Work: Emergency repair of a water heater.
