Haight's Mobile Maintenance

Had my lawn mower turned up this past spring. After using it three/four times, it then would not start. I called and asked if someone could look at it right away. They said I would have to wait 10-14 days. In other words, I had again go to the back of the line. No concession that I had previously waited my turn and had just recently paid for a tune-up.

Having done trouble-free business with Haight's for well over two years, I recently needed a new lawnmower. After a telephone discussion with the owner, I agreed have him select for me an in-stock model, which, he assured me, was similar to my previous mower. I appreciated the delivery, even though it cost the additional $25. Upon using the machine for the first time, I found the machine heavy and difficult to maneuver, and the controls not the right size for my hands. I was willing to work with these inconveniences, but, on our first pass around the yard, the mower broke! (The hard plastic air filter cover flew off because its hinges snapped.) Haight's picked their lawnmower up, "graciously" waiving the additional $25 fee, while nevertheless assessing their 20% restocking fee. By insisting on this charge, the company has forfeited not only all my own future business but also any referrals and positive reviews I would otherwise have been providing.

Great service, no upsell. Much more convenient than taking it in to a shop, as the snowblower doesn't fit in my vehicle.

I was absolutely overwhelmed with what a great job they did. My expectations were high based on previous reviews and they even exceeded them. They wanted to make sure I understood the pricing, what would be done, and how soon they would be able to complete the repairs/maintenance on all items.

Good. Arrived early and went right to work.

Needed my lawn mower serviced since it had been a couple of years and it was not mulching well anymore. Called the company because I was interested in the mobile tune up. They were about 2 week out with scheduling, but they told me if I dropped it off at the shop they could have it done in a couple of days. Dropped it off and a couple of days later I'm mowing again with a mower that feels like it's brand new. I'll be planning ahead and scheduling a mobile tune up for my snow blower in the future.

Bob came and looked at my mower, but I decided to buy a used mower from him instead. I drove to his new shop (not too far away on MM) and found a beautiful used mower that fit my needs and probably cost less than what the repair bill would have been. He took a bit off the price of the used mower since I gave him my non-working one. I was also very impressed with their customer service and efficiency. When I arrived at the shop, the invoice for the used mower was already ready. Haight is awesome!

Now that spring is almost here, I wanted to get my lawnmower a tune-up. I didn't want to take it into a shop, however, as my car is too small. So, I called Haight's Mobile Maintenance to come out and give it a tune-up. Overall, I've found them to be prompt, professional, and reasonable in price. This is the second time I've used their services, and I plan to do so again in the future. I would recommend them to anyone looking for the convenience of mobile maintenance.

Provider came to my residence the day after I sent a message and got the snow blower going. Gave tips on how to keep it running and how to problem solve.

It was easy to schedule. He showed up on time. The work was done efficiently. He clearly explained what he did. The price was reasonable.

It was super easy. I just called and made an appointment. I forgot my techs name but he was awesome. He was right on time. Listened as I told him what was wrong. In under an hour it was running better than the day I brought it home. I had been using the electric start for years because it was the only way to start it. Now I use the pull start and it starts on the first pull every time. I was reminded that I needed to post a review with the 9 inches we got today. Snowblower ran awesome and made clearing the snow a breeze. I can't wait until spring to get my lawnmower tuned up.

Updating to reflect my 3rd year using this service for a pre-season snowblower tune-up. Service provided at my home. Can't say enough good things about Haights! Thanks guys. This is the second year I have used this service. Fantastic service and quality. I feel like he goes above and beyond and my equipment is always in much improved / great working condition when he is done. Nothing but great things to say about this company. I also love that this is a reasonably priced service that comes to my home and doesn't require me to figure out how to haul and extremely heavy piece of equipment to the shop (tho I know that options is available).

It went great. I was dreading him coming for fear that major engine work would need to be done in order to re-install the plug. Bob was quick, efficient, and everything worked great when he was done. Their rates were more than fair. We are fairly new to the area and I will definitely be using them again in the Spring, if not before. Having this mobile service is extremely helpful, especially when the product to be worked on is a snowblower. They do work on things in their shop, but transporting a snowblower or lawn tractor is a difficult process without a truck or trailer. Very pleased!

The great convenince of Haight's service is he comes to your location. I did not have to haul my yard implements to him. He was prompt, easy to get in contact with he completed the job as requested in a timely manner. I left the garage door open so he could work in that space.

The guy knows what he's doing and comes equipped with appropriate tools to complete the job on-site. My only issue is that the guy is so busy, it took a few weeks before he could come out to do the work. But that's better than having my mowers at a shop waiting for service.

My snow blower left oil on the garage floor after I ran the gas out of it at the end of the season. Mr. Haight explained the limited number of places from which the machine can leak, and the sometimes prohibitive expense and difficulty finding the source of the issue and then repairing it. After a thorough inspection,adding fresh oil and gas, he was unable to find a leak but did discover that the gasket that seals the oil dip stick was missing. He suggested that this could be the source of the oil which was spraying out of the cap, collecting on the machine, and eventually finding a way to the ground. While this seemed improbable to me, he completed a tune up and cleaned the carburetor, explained the difficulty in finding any replacement parts for my blower (sold under a Nationally recognized name, but assembled in China), and agreed to come back if the leak persisted after I or he found some sort of seal for the cap. I was able to convert an "o" ring into an efficient seal, and after running the remaining gas out of the blower feel confident in believing that Mr. Haight correctly found the source of my problem. He is an extremely friendly, professional, and competent mechanic. I gave him the only score less than an A (a B) for punctuality because he showed up later than the appointed time. Considering that it is almost impossible for him to predict what he will encounter at the service calls, this is understandable.

I waited too long into the spring to look for a mechanic and was having trouble finding someone who could do a tune-up in less than 4 weeks. When I called Haight's, that was also the time he quoted me - for his mobile service. But, if I was willing to take it to his shop, his assistant could do it in a week to a week-and-a-half! So off it went! I took it in on the 6th and picked it up on the 15th. He did a complete tune-up, including new belt, oil, air filter, spark plug, and blade sharpening. He also looked over and tested the pull rope which I'd been having trouble with but could find nothing wrong with it. And he filled the empty tank with gas! Never had anyone do that before! Price was quite reasonable. I mowed a little lawn when I got it home, and it worked fine. I will definitely give him a call in the fall to use his mobile service to come do tune-ups on my snow-blowers.

Everything went very well. Bob showed up on time and got right to work. Noticed my front wheel on the mower was out of alignment and adjusted that while doing the tune up. Its great to have someone actually come to your house and do the tune ups, instead of hauling the mower or snow blower all around town. Well worth it!!

Overall very pleased with our experience. Would use again.
