We went to the showroom where Julie showed us different models. We picked out what we wanted. We had one installed in July to make sure we liked it before proceeding with the other three. Because two trips were required it was a little more expensive than we were hoping but that wasn't their fault, though their prices do seem a little high. Julie was very helpful and the installers arrived when scheduled and worked quickly. So far everything is great. We will probably use them again when we replace out water heater and for any emergency services.

After researching on Angie's List, we called just a couple of local plumbers to quote putting a bathroom in our basement. I called Benjamin Plumbing and was passed through to Jay. Firstly, I should have taken the warning signs that he wouldn't come out on evenings or weekends, so my husband had to take off work to have him come and do the estimate. He told us that he'd have the quote to us in the next day or two. A week passed and we didn't hear anything. I called the following thursday at 8am (a week and two days later), and Jay told me he hadn't written up the estimate yet, and that it would be "tomorrow" (friday) before he'd have something for me. I confirmed that he had the right email address. He did. Friday came and went, and no estimate was received. At this point, it's been two and a half weeks, and the only contact between us has been instigated by me. Jay seems totally uninterested and I experienced terrible customer service. I'm incredibly frustrated by the way we have been treated, my husband had to take time off work, and Benjamin Plumbing essentially couldn't have cared less about us. We would recommend you steer clear if possible.

No hot water this morning, again for 3rd time in several days. Turned on switch to restart water heater, and called Benjamin Plumbing at 8:30 AM. Service Manager worked to fit visit into our schedule for the day. Ken Yager arrived at just the time they said he would. He easily diagnosed the problem and then proceeded to explain why it had been shutting off and what we needed. Said he had what he needed to do the job, and as he was installing he noticed that the new valve was not working either. He called into Benjamin's office and they sent someone to our house with the new valve for Ken to install. He was very efficient, and certainly very friendly. We appreciated his assistance, and were amazed that he did not charge us for time it took him to get the new valve delivered and install it. We have used Benjamin Plumbing for many years. Very satisfied with everything.

They were successful in fixing the problem I had properly. They responded properly, did the job efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. They gave me a fair and reasonable bill. They were very prompt. I would use them again in the future.

After they provided such a high estimate, I did not proceed with them.

We had several relatively minor, but annoying problems with the initial installation of the replacement heater, namely, exhaust smell and variations in water temperature. Benjamin Plumbing stood by us to correct these issues over a period of about 10 months. Benjamin?s follow up including installing a separate gas line for the heater, reconfiguring the exhaust and replacing parts on the heater. They brought in manufacturer?s representatives to check out the heater on-site. Eventually Benjamin worked with the manufacturer to replace the heater with a newer model. During the period when we were having problems, I telephoned Benjamin Plumbing regularly. When I called Benjamin with a complaint they were courteous and quick to follow up with a plan for correction. Changes were made within a few days. I do believe that the company and its staff have a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. Installation of the plumbing work itself was neat and clean. Changes were made in the configuration of exhaust piping from the heater. This was work as functional and tastefully done. It is clear that clear Benjamin staff take pride in their work. I worked primarily with Jay on this project. Matt did the installation. They were both excellent.

They are excellent. We don't hesitate to use them. I would recommend them. They had someone over here immediately because we were going to be without water. They performed an installation the day after the quote.

We are still running into plumbing issues with shortcuts. When we first moved it we had leaks under the kitchen sink, first floor laundry, and in the basement from pipes not tighten properly. Even years later we are still finding issues with things that were not done as well as the could have been.

I am satisfied with all services provided.

They are very responsive. They do not try to oversell. When I went to go buy a faucet for a sink because I didn't like it, they asked me to keep it for a year rather than asking me to spend more money. The owner is Dale Benjamin. He is very nice. They are very honest.

Our garbage disposal would not chop the food placed in it. Called Benjamin Plumbing. The plumber came that day and made a simple repair by loosening the cutting blades that had become stuck.

He is clean and professional. He did a great job at cleaning up after himself. He came out at a time that was convenient to me.

I contacted Benjamin Plumbing based on reviews from Angie's List. I spoke to Dennis and explained that we wanted to change from a tank heater to a tankless heater. I also explained that there may be some unusual challenges as the water heater was on the 4th floor and the structure of our house is quite unusual. Dennis was prepared for the challenge and indicated he had some time to take a look the same day if I was available (which I was). Dennis was eager to solve our challenge and literally ran up and down multiple flights of stairs, looked inside and outside the house to identify the best solution. We discussed some possibilities and he left to do a little more research. He called back the next day and asked if he could take a look again which he did. We discussed two options. Dennis felt the option to move the heater to the basement was the best one but I asked if there was any way we could keep the new heater in the same location as the old one. He agreed to open up the floor to see if it was possible. He squeezed into a tiny space and did his very best to see if we could get this option to work. He verified that the direction of the floor joices were not conducive to that solution (recall we have a unique house). We agreed to move the tank to the first level and he assured me we would be completely satisfied. He managed the project including the plumbing, the gas line modification, the drywalling (needed to open up a ceiling to tie in water lines), and pipe insulation. After the job was completed, we noted that the garage door opening and closing was tearing the insulation. Dennis came over the next day and repaired it himself. After all is said and done, we are extremely pleased with our new tank and its functionality. The quality of the work and the responsiveness of Dennis and everyone else that he brought in was great.

The cleaning company I use to clean my condo dropped a pumice stone down the toilet and flushed it. It got lodged in there pretty well, and nothing I could do would get it out.I called Benjamin Plumbing, and they sent an individual over quickly. He was very professional, and even struck up a conversation when doing his work - he let me know what he was doing, and why he needed to do it. He could not pull the stone out from the top, so he had to remove the toilet completely from the floor and get the stone out from underneath. Again - he explained exactly why. In doing so, he did not leave any mess at all. Everything was cleaned up with his own materials, and there was not any indication once he left that he had been there in the first place. The job was done quickly, professionaly, and completely. I would definitely use this company for my plumbing needs again.I put price as N/A because I don't have any frame of reference. It seemed like a reasonable price, and my cleaning company covered it anyway, so I didn't really care :)

They were fine. I use them all the time. They are very, very expensive as plumbers go but they can do everything. They have everything they need in their truck and usually I just wait until I have a number of things for them to do before I have them come out. They are very good at diagnostics. I haven't ever been disappointed with using them. I will continue to use them.

It was as painless as it could be. He was out about 90" after my initial call to the office & within 40" had the problem fixed.

We had been dealing with the leaks for a while - no emergency. Called and set up an appointment for someone to come out within two days. They were running a head of schedule that day, so they called and were in and out before our scheduled time. Very happy with the service and price.

Did an excellent job. In the process set it up so a home owner could change the valves for the washing machine in the future.

This problem was one of my own doing. I removed the aerator in order to connect up the gadget to add water to our water bed. When I put the faucet back together, I failed to insert one of the two washers. The missing washer allowed water to flow back up into the hollow faucet body and drip into the cabinet below the sink. The plumber (Jim Baker) explained all this to me. Since I had placed the call and he had responded, he had to charge me for the service (but he only charged the minimum). I asked him to replace the aerator. I was embarrassed and poorer after the visit, but it was my own fault. I thought Jim was very helpful and I would recommend Benjamin Plumbing in general and Jim Baker in particular. Oh yes - there was snow on the ground the day Jim came, and before entering our house he put some kind of covering on his shoes so he wouldn't track up our house. For all I know all plumbers do this, but I thought it was a considerate thing for him to have done.

This water heater was given to us from friends. It was less than a year old and we were the lucky beneficiaries. This company removed the old water heater and installed the new one. He also adjusted some of the plumbing around the heater to safely move it away from the furnace a bit. He was very precise when calculating the time spent. He explained everything and anticipated any questions I had. He was professional, friendly, and easy to get along with.

We have had pretty good luck with Benjamin Plumbing. They are prompt. They do very good work. They are very competitive in price. They had to do a lot of re-routing of gas lines because we went up in size. Therefore the price was a bit higher.
