Who is "The Backwoods Handyman" and what does he do? I provide professional, quality, old fashioned service in a high tech world. If there's something I can't help you with, I can help you find someone who can. From lawn care and landscaping, gutter cleaning, painting, computer repair, virus removal, networking, to custom wood and storage creations; and nearly anything in between, even clear-cutting wooded lots, the Backwoods Handyman is your go-to source for help. My name is Jake and I have more than 10 years of experience in computer repair & handyman work. I take a lot of pride in the quality of my work and in providing high-quality customer service on top of the actual work performed. Leaving a mess of the work area and cutting corners or using shoddy materials produces a poor end result which is unacceptable in my book. I firmly believe in treating my customers the way I would want to be treated if I were in their shoes. If I paid someone to come to my property and perform a service, I would want them to respect it as they would respect their own, and I don't think my customers should expect anything less of me. Nor would I want to call someone looking for help and be greeted by a grunted "yeah" or a snappy response; if I ever fail to answer the phone in a cheerful manner, then I don't deserve to have your business. When you work with me, you're dealing with a local small business, not someone overseas reading from a script. Whether you plan on starting new, repairing the old, assembling/setting up, moving, or just need an extra set of hands and a strong back to help with something, I'm able to help with just about anything. I know that times are tough and everyone is a little short on money these days, so I do my best to keep my rates low and affordable. They vary depending on the type of work, but I am more than happy to provide you with an estimate. I love animals as well and have no problem with pets being around so long as the job doesn't create an unsafe environment for them.
