I cannot even express in words on how very disappointed we are with the whole process. Pete came out to scope out the job in April and promised us that they could begin the work in the middle of May. We put down a cash disposit down and waited for the work to start. There was no word from Pete or anyone from their company to keep us updated on what was going on or if there were any delays. I started to call them to get updates and each week they kept telling us there were delays because of the weather. There were only 2 rainy weeks this whole summer. I kept calling them for updates, since they seem to have issues with keeping their customers updated on their own. (Is it that hard to call a customer up and let them know what’s going on? If it is, then they need to hire some help and don’t let your customers guess and get upset from not knowing what the heck is going on.) Later on I found out from Pete that they ordered the wrong fence panels. We requested the semi privacy panels but they ordered the full solid privacy panels instead. That put them behind another few weeks. Once again I had to keep calling to get more updates. The new panels were finally ready to be installed. They came to our house, dumped the materials on the grass, took a half a day worth of cigarette breaks, then left on a Friday during a rainy weekend with the stuff scattered in the yard. We became very frustrated and called Pete and asked them to comeback and organize the materials so our grass doesn’t get destroyed. (Anyone who’s ever worked in construction would have known to clean up your work site ESPECIALLY when people are already living there!) Pete came out and cleaned up the mess. He literally asked us, “why are you being like this?” after we told him that this is really unprofessional. After another few weeks the correct panels came and then they got them installed. However... Pete forgot that we wanted the rest of the yard finished up and not just the sides to our neighbors. (This was all written out on the quote that he had a copy of.) Now he had to order more panels and we had to wait another month for them to finish this job. (We are now in September!) Once again I had to call and follow up with him on what was going on. Then they finally finished the job towards the end of September. One side panel set looks unleveled. Pete said that the new 6 ft fence would cover up the chain linked fence on the other side, but it did not cover that up and you could still see it. I offered Pete a way to make things right and give us a discount for the headaches at the end of the job, but Pete said no. We think this review will speak for itself if you want to hire this company or not. I wish I had some positives to say about Roth and Sons, but unfortunately I don’t have many, other than Pete’s wife Connie was very pleasant to talk to on the phone.
