Still working the issue with the manufacturer and BBB.
Description of Work: Serviceman was unable to repair unit on first visit because he admitted never see one before. He guest at bad part, ordered, and returned a week later. When greeted at the door he just walked right in and went to the unit without even responding or saying a word (very odd). He complaid that he was never trained by his company and eventually never even took the part out of the box. After an hour of trying to dismantel the unit and damaging it, he said it was working and hurried out the door. He never cleaned up his mess or even entured it was actually working. It was Not working and after calling to complain, their service manager was very rude and accused us of damaging the unit after he left. WOW! I still do not have a working unit under my still active warranty.

When we walked in, we were greeted and instantly felt at home and eager to learn more about the TV's that they had to sell. After we looked around, were guided through each TV of interest and were informed by the knowledgeable staff working there. Since this was our first major TV purchase, we had tons of questions about each one, and with patience, each question was answered. We will definitely go there again for not only more TV purchases, but will try out Lyle's for any other appliance needs that we have! A++

While the service technician was polite and helpful, when the call came from the service manager, he simply said "to fix your dishwasher will cost $471". When I asked him to itemize the charges, he literally sighed, waited a few moments, and then very grudgingly spelled out the charges. When I asked if he could email this to me, again I was greeted with a sigh, silence, and then he wrote down my email address. That encounter caused me to look for an alternative, which was good, because no email ever arrived. I located a new dishwasher for less than the price Lyle's quoted to repair mine, and had it installed three days later. A week after that I received an invoice from Lloyds for the service call, with my email address written on it. But without any of the itemization I had asked for (which was to have broken out the trip charges, labor, and cost of the motor). The service technicians are generally helpful and kind, but the service manager is hostile and rude, and it's been going on for more than five years. We've had experiences similar to what i outline above with the servicing of our Wolf Stove and Sub-Zero refrigerator - all purchased from Lyle's, and presumably they would be appreciative and grateful for our business. Lyle's customer service is consistently hostile, they treat their customers with indifference. There are too many choices out there to make Lyle's one of them. If you have any choice at all in where you buy appliances in Southeast Wisconsin, avoid at all costs doing business with Lyle's.
Description of Work: We purchased all of our kitchen appliances from Lyle's in 2006, and almost from the moment the orders were placed we have experienced a hostile indifference to customer service from them. Most recently, our Bosch dishwasher required service, and just to get the service appointment scheduled required first a phone call to request the appointment, then a second phone call to them on the morning of the appointment to get a timeframe confirmed. They expect their customers to take on the burden of confirming appointments, there is no option for Lyle's to call you and confirm a time. When the technician arrived, he was polite and helpful. He got right to work, and within 30 minutes diagnosed that the main motor of the dishwasher had failed, and that it would need to be replaced. He then told us he would head back to the office, and the service manager would contact me with the expected cost for the motor and the repair charge.
