ACORN HILL CARPENTRY

We built our house in 2008. The back is partially exposed, so we needed a deck built to access the back patio door. We had a couple of estimates for very simple decks. We had seen Mike's work at Acorn Hill Carpentry and were referred to him by a friend. He met with us in the fall of 2008 to assess our home's design and within approximately 2 weeks had prepared three separate designs. He again met at our house to review the designs, as well as options for flooring and railing. We had the deck built in the summer of 2009 and could not be happier with it. It feels like an extension of our home. Mike prepared detailed drawings that made it extremely easy for me to apply for a building permit with the city. The project took approximately 10 days (some downtime due to waiting for city inspector is included in that). Mike is extremely professional, pays attention to the detail, and is a perfectionist. The estimate was not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for; Mike's materials and craftsmanship make it well worth it, and we will be enjoying our deck for years to come. Since the deck was built I have contacted Mike with a few questions, and he has been more than willing to help me. I would absolutely recommend Acorn Hill Carpentry.

Mike was thorough in several site meetings and prompt in meeting his self-imposed deadlines. The team installing was headed by him, and that went smoothly also.
