Harper Pumping Drain & Septic

He's rude, and he refuses to listen to you. His truck is too heavy for driveways and destroys them. He charged full quoted price to fix a problem after taking one look at it and told me he can't do anything for me. Now I have a broken driveway, a overcharged bill, and still have the same problem I had when he showed up.

They arrived 40 minutes late for a 7:30A appointment. I was their first appointment. Explained the service would involve emptying the storage tank, then entering the tank to power jet the outflow line of the tank. They would also inspect the inflow line to make sure it was free of any clog. He said the jetting would clean the line from the tank to the field vent about 35 feet away. Andrew said they would have me flush the toilet prior to closing the tank to make sure all was good. I watched most of the service from an upstairs window, as it seemed weird to stand right behind them. I never saw them go into the tank, and never brought a ladder in back to access the tank and be able to climb out. Andrew rang the doorbell, and I expected he was going to ask me to flush the toilet as he stipulated he'd do. Instead he said he was done and needed $600 cash or check. I was pretty surprised, as they had been there only about 45 minutes. I asked how much pumping alone would have been. He said $180. So I said the jetting was $420, and Andrew said part of the cost was placing me at the start of his route. He didn't have any kind of receipt to give me. I was hoping for something detailing how much things cost. Andrew stated he'd mail one once he gets back to the office. If they cleaned the line as expected I'd be happy. My fear is if the outflow wasn't cleaned correctly, I'll be facing this problem way sooner than I should need to. I wasn't watching the entire time. There was probably 10-15 minutes of the 45 I wasn't watching. That said, without a ladder they would never be able to get in and out of the tank. Both Andrew and his assistant are big guys.
