+ -1 moreI used to be a designer there & I was told to charge a customer $100 for looking at fabric for 3 hours. They were from out of state, did not have many days to pick fabric. As a professional designer & allied member of American Society of Interior Designers, it's unethical to not disclose all fees upfront. Owner/Manager wanted me to 'add' it to sofa price, w/o any contract signed, discussed, or any open communication about how their 'design' service works. The owners do not have current interior design credentials, they are calling showroom manager 'interior designer' violating Wisconsin State safety and professional services laws as she is not a degreed professional interior designer. Stay away at all cost for furniture/window treatments/accessory/art sales when dealing with manager. There are more credible furniture/design stores in Door County...do not recommend. Owner/manager states there is a 'design contract' @ $75 per hour to look at fabric if you do not buy sofa. SHOP AT OWN RISK! THE TWO CREDIBLE DESIGNERS ARE ANNETTE AND JENNIFER LYNN FOR FURNITURE/WINDOW TREATMENTS.
Description of Work: Did not disclose hidden charge. Wanted to charge customer for looking at fabric in their design showroom, without letting them know ahead of time or having any document for them to sign acknowledging they will be charged for design services w/o purchase. Customer did not purchase, they went else where. Beware of 'design charges' owner says exists in a 'contract' if you do not purchase.
