My experience with Wiersgalla Co. Plumbing & Heating went amazingly well. I was very impressed with the results. We had a significant air release into our upper floors. I wasn't happy with the price, though. But I was very satisfied with the end result. I had other companies look at it and they didn't find the problem. He kept explaining what he was doing and why. That was really nice. I asked him some questions and he answered all of them. I wasn't happy paying that much money, but they got it fixed.

They could have legitimately done much more but suggested a fix that worked and cost much less.

I did call this gentleman, Eli, and explained what I wanted. He didn't even want to come out to see the pole barn or situation. I told him we wanted a certain kind of furnace. He said he would look up some information about the furnace and he would get back to me with an estimate. I never heard back from him.

Everything went fine and we were surprised at how fast amd smooth it went. The price was well worth the work.

My experience with them was good. Good people over there taking the call. They have a good service man. They have reasonable rates.

I hired Wiersgalla through my contractor. The technician came out day one, to look at the job and estimate what it would require, he then returned 3 days later to perform the job, this took six hours. Within a day we heard a whooshing sound coming from the pump next to the boiler, and it was apparent something was wrong, this had never happened before. We called Wiersgalla and they came out and fixed it shortly after. The technician was polite and we haven't had problem with the pipes or boiler since. The Major issue came when the bill showed up for $1,300 including: 1) A charge for 1 hour ($85) of work the day he came to look at the job, when I pushed back on this Wiersgalla told me it was for "service technician goes to the job site to view the project, mobilizes equipment, materials etc. to perform the work." This sounds a lot like an estimate to me and they claim to give free estimates, but this charge was not reversed. 2) My contractor was on site the entire day doing work on the basement, he said the technician was only here 6 hours, and that included time to make a parts run (so much for that 1 hr assessment to make sure they have the right parts). But the bill reflected 8 hours of work done. So they overcharged by at least 2 hours ($160) 3) When they came back to fix the problem they had created, I assumed it would not be something we would be charged for, WRONG, they charged me to come fix a problem I'd never had until they worked on the system, 1.5 Hours or $127.50 So after all of this I was pretty mad and my contractor was even more upset. He wrote them a letter that the fair value of the work they had charged $1300 for was worth ~$750, and included a check and a detailed list of discrepancies. Among them a $45 trip charge (I live 1.4 miles from their office) and their standard rate for trip charge is $35-$120, but I can't imagine how you get any closer than me to get that $35 rate. Also my contractor said their markups were well beyond industry standard on several things, but that's not even the part I was most upset about. I was upset about points 1-3 above. Wiergalla responded in a letter that they disagree with the contractor, stand by all of their charges, and offered a 10% discount that was available to anyone who visited their website and printed it off. I called later and spoke to the office manager, and while he couldn't tell me how an estimate was different than what they did for an hour before starting the job, he was unwilling to remove the charge. He also hemmed and hawed about why they charged for repair work, and said something to the effect of, we can't know for sure how that happened. I've lived here for 2 years, never had a problem like that, it started the day they did the work. After posting a review on Better Business Bureau, I've had, and am in the middle of, a long back an forth with Wiersgalla. They have not, at time of writing, substantially answered points 1-3 but has still stood by the bill they charged me. I have now offered 3 times to settle the bill for most of, but not all they charged me, and they are standing by the initial (with coupon discount) amount. I will warn everyone I know about Wiersgalla, and if for some reason you have to use them, I would warn customers that they have high prices for labor, parts, and trip fees. I would recommend you specifically say the word "estimate" when they are coming to look at your job, or they might be charging you for it. I would time your technician while they are their and clarify before they come to do any repair work to fix their own issues that it is covered and not a new charge. And if you still have an issue with them do not expect quality customer service. Instead of looking to solve the issue I had and possibly remove some dubious charges and create a happier customer, they have dug in their heals and have no problem fighting with me publicly on BBB.org. They even went so far as to give me a "lesson" on free economics and belittled my complaint that I just disagree with the fair market value of the work instead of answering my actual questions. Being a small business owner myself (& the holder of a degree in finance) it was insulting and aggravating that they think they can treat customers in this manner and that the way to handle a customer complaint is to obfuscate their billing practices and keep repeating taglines about how many customers they've had and how many years they've been in business.

David was on time and completed the whole job himself in a couple of hours. He was very helpful and explained everything. The final cost was lower than the estimate, and included the cost of a new 40 gal unit, installation, and disposal of the old water heater. Great service, I would definitely call them again!

We contacted Bohl & Prohl to purchase a toilet for us. He returned to install. Did an excellent job!

Absolutely wonderful. I dealt with Christina, she was always available. While the work was going on she would come in and check it. all the workers were very friendly and explained what was going on. There was a delay with the sink that had a ding on it and she was able to take care of it and got us a better sink. Their price is a little high but worth it.

The showed up on time with all the the equipment and tools and parts they needed to do the job. One guy came and got right to work until everything was done and done well. He was very clean and professional. I think these guys are pretty expensive but you really get what you pay for. Excellent company!

Called early on a Monday morning and got an appointment for 1:00 that afternoon. Plumber arrived on time, estimated amount and time needed correctly, and performed a difficult job (5 separate trips out to his truck) quickly and satisfactorily. Well done.

He was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely call again if needed.

They were really prompt. It was easy schedule a time with them. The work is still in progress so I am not sure about the quality of work yet.

I've found them to be pretty reliable. The estimator that came out was very thorough. Everything he said that I was going to get, I got. The people that did the work were very personable and they kept the area clean. It was a good experience overall. The price was fair; it wasn’t the cheapest. I got three other estimates. The other companies were giving cheaper materials so I got higher quality for just a little bit more. We had to reschedule once but it was my fault. I would definitely use them again.

It was all good. They were very responsive, I thought they were very reasonable for the work they had done. The guy was really good and did a good job. We were very happy with them and will call them again. You can kind of spot an honest guy when yo use one.

They are a pretty big outfit here in town. They did okay. The plumber actually installed the hot and cold faucets backwards. When we called to complain about it, he acted like we could have fixed it ourselves. We understood that it was an easy fix for him but we didn't know anything about plumbing so it wouldn't be an easy fix for us and that's what we paid him for. We were a little irritated by that. They were expensive and they were much more expensive than another plumber we used. They probably have 50 plumbers and we don't know what the other 49 plumbers are like. Even if they had been really good we would shop around because they were so expensive.

Routine checking and cleaning of both the furnace were nearly finiished when I mentioned that the AC seemed to be less efficient every year compared to the last. Upon hearing that, the serviceman pulled the fan from the top of the AC and found that my AC had a double set of cooling coils/fins. In the very small space between the two sets of coils was years of dirt and debris. He tore everythinsg apart and cleaned between the coils. I have had nearlty yearly maintenance checks of the AC by another company (because it seemed like it was not cooling as well as it had been) and no one in about 15 years had thought to check the coils inside the AC. The AC is running noticeable better.

Plumber arrived on time, cost of job came in as quoted. Very helpful when I asked about my toliet issues, did not try to sell me something I did not need which is rare in this day and age.

I selected Wiersgalla due to their good reputation and their ability to provide the HVAC set-up I wanted, but in the end I feel I was overcharged for the project. The number of billed hours (12) did not add up to the total number of hours the company's employees (project manager, worker bees) spent at my home (9), and, in my opinion, it's difficult to believe that three additional hours were spent in preparation at the office/shop. Other issues include: the air vents were placed too low (carpet now partially covers them), and the installed air vent covers are substandard and do not open/close easily. The workers did not clean up after themselves and cracked the ceiling in a main-level room without notifying me. The project manager was responsive to these concerns and promised to discuss these problems with the workers, but did not offer to address my other concerns. Some may feel I am being nit-picky, but I expected much more professionalism for a $1400 job. If you choose to hire Wiersgalla, I hope your experience is better than mine.
