 + -1 moreScott and his assistant Ben were trustworthy, reliable, and professional. Being a first-time homeowner, I especially appreciated his offering suggestions on my plans for the house (for example, he said he could get wood trim for the new bedroom doorway that would just about match the existing trim - and it looks great!). They worked carefully - the stain color on the refinished wood floors matches the other wood floors well, and they installed the cork floating floor in the kitchens very neatly around the radiators. Scott was up-front about the estimated cost of the project (time + materials), kept me informed on costs along the way, and advised me which projects I could handle myself to keep costs lower. He responded quickly to texts/calls, and was willing to do small projects as they came up along the way. Moreover, Scott is genuinely nice beyond anything and quot;requiredand quot; - even timed a trip for materials to offer me a ride along to the hardware store when he saw I was about to take the bus there!
Description of Work: Created a new bedroom doorway through the back of a closet, refinished hardwood floors, installed laminate sheets over kitchen counters, installed a bathroom counter, installed floating cork flooring in 2 kitchens/entries, put up beadboard wainscoting on kitchen walls, and multiple smaller projects (sanded old carpet adhesive off stairs, adjusted interior doors to close properly, fixed gaps/cracks in walls, installed new kitchen faucet, improved weatherstripping on exterior door, etc.).

Lots of things came up throughout the whole process that required problem solving skills and all were handled in a way that met my needs and kept us within a resonable budget. He kept me informed through out the process and allowed me to be a part of the decision making process.
Description of Work: Scott removed a wall between our living room and kitchen. A portion of this wall was load bearing. Duct work was re-routed from the basement all the way up to the second floor. Most of the work after that continued into the kitchen. He shortened our cupboards per my request, installed new counter tops and sink, custom built cupboards and installed backsplash. Scott also did small tasks like paint the cupboards and install new hardware as well as remove molding.
