I called Border Pest Control LLC. They asked me several questions regarding the infestation, were prompt in coming to my house, explained the process/what could be expected/what to do or not do/, followed up when they stated they would,... I definitely saw much evidence of the ants as they exited my house. Thanks for providing me with your services! I would contact this company again for pest extermination.

They came out and sealed the cabin. Put in two excluders. Was told to wait 3 or 4 weeks. One of the excluders was put in a place where we never heard bats. The bat activity didnt change. I asked them to come back which they did but didnt do anything. He gave me a list of things to do. I sent him pics of where the activity was the worst. He reluctantly came back but told me they were just trying to get in there. After the last visit, his communication with me implied that I was imagining the activity. I asked for a refun since there was a warranty in place but did not hear back. I would not reommend this comapny.

They were excellent from start to finish and we have them coming back in another month to do a follow up. The first man who came even cut a piece of drywall out so we could see inside and that was a big help. He started with the safest product, sprayed in the walls and outside. He even took an ant sample because he found one that was not a carpenter ant. A second technician came two weeks later for a follow up and we determined something stronger was needed to make sure the entire colony was killed before a carpenter comes in to replace some of the wood. Both technicians explained what they were doing and why in detail and were so polite and informed. They are returning in a month to check up on things but i think we have it all under control. I would call them for any kind of pest control. Highly recommended.

I was recently exposed to a bat in the guest bedroom of my father's house while sleeping. Unfortunately, I was required to undergo post-exposure rabies vaccinations after returning home to Los Angeles, where they are not very familiar with the guidelines regarding bat exposure and treatment. After a somewhat unsettling experience with a lot of rushed research and communication between my physician and the very knowledgeable health department, I was treated properly but strongly advised not to return to my father's home until bat exclusion had been done. We checked with my dad's regular pest control guy, but he no longer did bats. I was already a member of Angie's List locally, so I signed up for access to national listings. I located Prompt Action Pest Control and called Jerry, who answered personally and was able to give me an estimate right away. They were very booked up, but since I was not returning for several months, that was not a problem. The communication with the office staff was excellent, especially with Linda. We were able to set up everything long-distance for my father. The technician showed up on time, and finished the job within an hour or two. He explained to my father how the bats were getting in and where, and what he did to prevent the problem in the future. He also explained the 2-year warranty to him, which we are both pleased with. All in all, my father was pleased with the job, and with the contact he had with the rep. I was pleased with the responsiveness of the company and how easy it was to work with them long-distance.

We called Prompt Action Pest Control because they advertised expertise in bat exclusion. We were scheduled for an estimate but then they called the day before they were to come out and wanted to reschedule for several weeks later. I agreed to that extension but then the representative showed up without notice on the day they said they couldn't make it. He wasn't very personable but I wasn't looking for a friend so that was okay. He gave an estimate that seemed reasonable if they did what they said they would do. He suggested I fix the soffit on the one side of the house before he returned to seal it and to leave the soffit open on the other side where the bats enter and exit, so I did what he suggested prior to the scheduled service day. Jared arrived on the scheduled day and began working. After an hour or so I looked at some of his work. There was caulking blobbed on one or our screens and the side of the house. I checked the area that he had told me to leave open and he had gobbed caulking and sealer up there without closing the soffit or installing the bat exit. It looked awful and what he did would make it difficult to close up later after the caulking hardens. When I mentioned it to him, he was dismissive and defensive and said it was not his job to fix the soffit. I explained that he had told me to leave it open and he responded that I could fix it later after the bat exclusion was finished. That is ridiculous as it should have been fixed before caulking was applied but he had specifically told me not to fix it because he would use that area for his bat exit site. When I said it should be fixed before the caulking sets up, he insisted that it was not his job to fix it. When I said I would fix it, his response was that it might create more work for him. He did not appear to be at all concerned about the cosmetic issues nor that it would be difficult to correct later after the caulking set up. There were also a number of places where the black foam sealant was very visible on the outside of the house. His only comment regarding these eyesores was that the foam is paintable....so I guess we can paint the black blobs of sealant on our log home and he thinks that would look okay. He also left some of his litter in our yard including some paper and empty caulking tube. Less than 3 hours after starting the job, he said he was done and gave us the bill for $800. A few tubes of caulking and sealant, $.05 worth of wire screening, and 3 hours of non-skilled labor for $800 does not reasonably add up to $800. Needless to say, I was not happy with the quality of his work but even less pleased with his self-serving non-professional attitude and poor customer service. I would NOT recommend this company for any work if you are concerned about either quality of work or customer service.

The company was very prompt with replies, both by email and phone. Jared sealed entry points and installed a one way door. The exterior was sprayed for bugs, I did not notice a difference but as long as the bats were gone I was happy. Services were discounted the day of actual application as the time spent on property was less than anticipated. It has been almost two months and there have been no signs or sounds of bats in the attic. The two year gaurantee offered by the company is great plus.

Steve Hanson was fantastic. Professional yet humble, he took a lot of time to with us to find out what our problem was. He also took time to describe what he was going to do and what to expect. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt I could trust him from the get go. We will be doing business with his family firm in the future. This was so much better than our experiences with Terminex and Orkin. Stay local and family owned!!

Gopher and mole control and hornet termination. Their prices were very reasonable, and they were very good to work with. They took the time to explain what they were doing, why they were doing it, and what results I could expect. I will definetly use them again when I have pest issues.

Tim was the second person I had hired in 6 years to deal with bats in my house. He quoted me a price after coming to look at my house and stuck with that quote even when it took him several hours longer to do the job than he anticipated. He explained to me that the spray foam used by the previous person I hired degrades when exposed to sunlight so he uses the foam and then caulks over it to protect it from the sun. He found bats hanging behind a section of siding on the back of my house and a second spot where they were likely getting into the house. He put one-way bat exits in both places and sealed everything else up. He guaranteed his work for two years. Unfortunately, I had another bat in my kitchen almost exactly one year later. I called him to have him come back and had trouble reaching him. I later learned that he was taking a course in Milwaukee for a week. He finally arrived two and a half weeks later. He apologized that it took him so long explaining that he has been super busy (which I believe having personally heard of several people who've had inside bats in the last 2 weeks). He promptly got to work and found that that one of the spots the previous guy had filled had opened up and a new second spot on my porch. He made necessary repairs and did not charge me (as promised in his guarantee). Tim is very professional and good to deal with. He seems to know what he's doing and sticks by his word. My only complaints are that I had a bat again within a year (however I do acknowledge that my house is 107 years old) and that it took so long for him to return the second time. I do appreciate, however, that he apologized for that and did seem to get to me as quickly as he could.

Our bat problem was not a situation that required immediate assistance, but neither was it one where we wanted to wait a long time for professional help. We're very pleased with the responsiveness of this company; they had someone at our property within 2 days of our initial call. He spent the better part of two hours evaluating the house and garage, identified where the bats were entering, and installed a device that allows the bats to get out and prevents them from re-entering. He also did some bat proofing in areas that could become entry points. The work has a two year warranty, with the possibility of renewing the warranty for a lesser charge than the original work. We had been given an estimate for the work based on a description of the building and the nature of the problem we were having. The final bill was a bit less than the initial estimate.
