This project was a nightmare with too many people involved all pointing fingers at each other. Sales, a delivery driver, a project manager, the building installer and the CEO. No communication amongst any of them. And no one willing to take responsibility for placing the building on the pad in the wrong direction. The weekend before the garage was built I clearly staked out the location for the garage on the gravel pad at a remote site in northern Wisconsin. The materials were delivered on Monday by a Northland driver. The Northland assembler arrived on Thursday to find stakes missing. Instead of calling me to ask how I wanted the garage oriented on the site (I live 3 hours away in Minnesota) the installer made the executive decision to face the building away from the road making entry and exit from a car nearly impossible. The CEO and project manager then went into crisis mode, blaming me for not being on-site during the project (no notice to me from the sales person that this was a requirement). The project manager then doctored documents to show I agreed to the orientation. My signed copy clearly shows no orientation was indicated but somehow their copy (from a 5 part purchase agreement) indicates East. This company showed a lack of professionalism, poor employee and customer communication, poor project management and dishonesty. I would not recommend Northland Buildings to anyone.
