 + -1 moreTaylor did what they said they would do and they were here at 8AM and gone by 4PM. Only issue is problem with gutter that they were asked back to address twice and still have not called or come by.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced roof that was 13 years old however were recalled by the manufacture.

 + -1 moreThe company responded timely to my call and Terry came out and did a quality repair of my siding . He was very professional and it was clear that he knew what needed to be done. He cleaned up the siding because some of it had become dirty during the fix-up process. The siding looks as good as it did before it came loose.
Description of Work: They fixed two places where the aluminum siding had come loose on the second story of my house.

 + 0 moreArden came within a couple of hours of my call. He inspected roof and chimney flashing to find the leak. He suggested that he try just caulking it first, as the alternative would be to tear out all the flashing and completely redo it. He also spent time with me evaluating a couple of gutter problems and suggesting options for taking care of them. He caulked the flashing and did not charge me yet, as he wants to make sure this solves the problem. He asked that I call him after the next rain to let him know if any water is getting into the house. He also said he would stop by some time when he is in the area to install the diverter for the gutter. He was very personable and took time to listen carefully to my explanation of the problems I was experiencing.
Description of Work: Inspected roof and chimney flashing to locate leak, caulked flashing. Evaluated gutter problem, gave suggestions as to improving water flow. Gave suggestion for using a diverter for another gutter problem.

 + 0 moreVery responsive and professional. Owner supervison and involvement was reassuring. When we had what we thought was a recurrence of the leak the owner himself called me back and said that he would be surprised if it was their repair that had failed, but he also said that he would stand behind his work. Turned out he was right - the second leak was caused by something entirely different.
Description of Work: Had a leak into a soffit inside the house. Seemed like a roof or flashing issue. Several roofers came out and did small things without a guarantee but did not properly diagnose the problem, so the leak continued. I called Taylor, the manager came out and looked at the area and took pictures. The owner called me personally to tell me that he would simply be unable to diagnose the problem without exposing the exterior wall and seeing the water marks that would indicate the leak path. His plan was to tear off all the siding (it was aluminum and couldn;t be reused), diagnose the leak and reseal the wall with "storm shield" cladding, then replace the aluminum siding with matching vinyl. He warned me that we might also have to reposition or replace a certain window. He told me what this would cost, but was honest in telling me that he would have to open the wall before he would know if anything additional needed repair or replacement. Turned out nothing additional was needed. They solved our leak and matched our siding perfectly. Great job - very professional.

 + -1 moreThe estimate was promptly done, the work was completed in the time predicted. Crew was prompt, and cleaned up every single nail. The new roof is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. This contractor even coordinated efforts with our heating company so we could remove an old ugly chimney and replace it with more efficient venting for our furnace and hot water heater. These guys are great, I've seen their work other places and I've never dealt with such consummate professionals. Fair price, done as promised and amazing quality and craftsmanship.

 + 1 moreDont's.....don"t plant any annuals close to the house, they'll take a pounding. Do's......trim any bushes so the guys can get close to the house to work. be patient on their work schedule, rain will cause delays.
Description of Work: I contracted with the company May of 2011 for new roof (tearoff) new siding and new windows (9). The roof was done in one day July 5th. Great work crew, always picking up after themselves. Started at 7:30am, finnished about 3pm. Great neat work, Crew leader was very good and easy to work with. Approx 2 weeks later, 9 (vinyl) windows and siding job was started. Windows were all installed in about 2 hrs, again very professional work from a work crew of 4 guys. The work crew cleaned up any mess and vacumed the window area inside. The old siding had to be removed, 1/2 plywood installed and wrapped with a vapor barrier. All the old siding was cleaned up before plywood was installed. Trimwork takes the bulk of time with the application of siding. The siding application took 1 week cuz of rain days. They installed new lights and doorbells that I purchased. At the completion of every day, the crew always cleaned up. If there were questions or minor problems the crew leader always consulted with me first. If I requested something, it was done, and no questions asked. The trim work around the windows and doors was excellent job quality. I was VERY happy with the work completed. Great people from top to bottom.

Description of Work: when I had the roof shingles replaced I decided to leave off the upper gutters because of maintainance issues (clogging with crap). He didn't tell me that upper gutters are required by code in order to sell a house. He should have known and told me. Plus he kept the aluminum.. Use him again - probably not

 + 0 moreThis was a two day job for three fellows. There had been 12 windows up 14 feet next to the ceiling in the living room and kitchen. The seal had broken in the old windows and they were leaking cold air in the winter badly. The windows were replaced with 4 picture windows which looks fantastic. They were then wrapped with pine wood. The job that was done on the woodwork was outstanding with perfect cuts. The 3 skylights that were replaced were also done to a tee. The roof had to be taken off around the 3 windows and replaced. The job on this part of the job was great. It's hard to tell where the old roof stops and the new roof begins. Job done very professionally. I would recommend this company to anyone without any reservations at all. The clean up that they did was like no one had been working on the house. Nothing was left behind. The price that was quoted to us was more than fair and well under any other quote that was given to us with more done, like the wood trim. Will be using this company again. PS...The three fellows that did the work were very nice and co-operated in every way possible.

THIS IS WHO WE CALLED INITIALLY, AND WE CONTRACTED THROUGH JAKE, AN OLDER MAN WITH A LIFETIME OF EXPERIENCE AS A ROOFER. HE WAS FANTASTIC. UNDER HIS SUPERVISION, JAMES R. TAYLOR & SONS DID ALL OF THE WORK. IT WAS A BIG JOB. JASON TAYLOR LED A BIG CREW OF GUYS THAT WORKED VERY HARD AND EFFICIENTLY FOR 2 HOT DAYS TO COMPLETE THE JOB. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND CONTENTIOUS, AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THERE WAS NO OBNOXIOUS DUMPSTER IN THE YARD. THEY HAULED THE MESS AWAY DAILY IN THEIR DUMPTRUCK. WE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE, AND THE PRICE WAS SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN OTHER ROOFING CONTRACTORS WITH POSITIVE RATINGS ON ANGIE'S LIST.
