Butler Chimneys LLC

We split our project into two separate projects and Butler Chimney's did a great job with both parts! Last year they replaced our wood burning insert in the living room and added a chimney liner. This Summer we had them come back and re-brick the chimney exterior. Remove old brick, remove 2 old flues that were not being used any more, re brick, pour a new concrete crown, and put a new stainless steel cap over the whole thing. Everything looks great and customer service has always been top notch.

We loved working with Butler Chimneys. Communication was great before and during our project. They checked in with us each morning prior to starting the work, and again at the end of the day. They described in detail the work that was being done. Final brick product matched the bottom section of our chimney perfectly. We highly recommend!

Yearly maintenance and inspection. Notified on his way, covered surrounding areas, vacuumed up, checked via drone outside condition of masonary chimney. Reviewed current status and forwarded pictures.

Butler Chimney has done quite a bit of work for us beyond annual inspections and cleanings. The Butler crew rebuilt both of our chimneys and installed a new fireplace chimney liner and we couldn't be more satisfied. Everyone from the office staff to the technicians are courteous, friendly, and professional. We highly recommend Butler Chimney...they are the best!

In 2019 we were looking to purchase a home. During the inspection, the chimney was flagged to be inspected by a professional masonry company. Butler chimney was contacted and we received a quote for approx. $5k. We negotiated with the sellers of the home and received a price reduction and money that must be used towards closing costs. The following summer, we contacted Butler chimney to being repairs. At that time, we received a quote for approx. $13K. The discrepancy was brought up to the worker, John. We were told that there was no record of anybody being at our home in 2019, but the last was 2016. This was also mentioned to the office worker, Cassie. After we heard nothing from Butler chimney, we again contacted Cassie. Finally, were heard from Corey Butler. Corey informed us that the employee failed to do a proper inspection in 2019 and had just copied the quote from 2016. We requested a reduction in our bill due to an improper quote from 2019. We relied heavily on this estimate when purchasing our home. Had there been a proper estimate we would have exercised our right to back out of the contract or made other negotiations with the sellers. Corey refused to negotiate with us stating that they "did nothing wrong" despite admitting that his employee did not do a proper inspection in 2019 (if there was even one done at all seeing as how we were told by 2 different staff that there is no record of anything from 2019). Further, when the chimney work as complete, we had wanted water proofing to be done on our home. The employee that had done the chimney work went on vacation and was going to do it the following week when he came back. No one showed up. Plastic and scaffolding was left in our yard. Not a big deal for a week, but we had to contact them numerous times about this and the water proofing. By the time somebody was reached, the weather was too cold for the water proofing and wasn't completed until 9 months later after winter. We are satisfied with the work on the chimney but extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service and communication from the business. It seems there are communication issues among staff. Please beware of this when deciding on a masonry company. Would not recommend based on this experience with staff.

I am very happy with the work that Butler Chimney performed. The new fireplace looks and works great. Very professional and good customer service.

Corey took the time to talk with me in the beginning about the alternatives for getting the chimney in tip-top shape. He was open and upfront about pricing from the beginning. And he held true to his pricing and work. I had asked him to squeeze my work in between what he already had as a busy schedule, and for that reason he had to split it up into two different times. But Corey came back as promised and finished off the job as promised. I couldn't be happier, and Butler Chimneys has earned me saying not only that I would use them again (although I bet I won't need to) but also that I would recommend them to others.

Great! Tarps were put on floor, Cory and assistant both wore booties over work shoes insuring floor and carpet were protected. Installation performed in approximately 3.5 hours. Training on proper operation was provided and clean-up was accomplished. Pleasant experience!
