They did a nice job. They came on time and the job was done professionally and it looks great. There have been times I haven’t been happy with them but on that particular occasion, they did a great job. As far as I know, their price is as good as anybody’s. They were very good. They came a little bit early. They were very professional.

We had carpet and laminate floors installed by Dayton Flooring through Lowes in Delavan, WI. The Installation Took Place in October of 2010. One Year Later, we re-carpeted our Basement (Also by Dayton Flooring through Lowes). At the 2 year mark, the carpet in the master bedroom became loose. Lowes was contacted and a couple of weeks later, Dayton Flooring came by to look at the situation. Even though the floor was at the ?Install warranty limit?, Dave of Dayton Flooring moved some furniture (With my assistance) and ?Knee Kicked? the carpet tight in several places. In a couple of more months, the carpet was very loose in all installed areas as well as the original site. Lowes was again contacted and again, Dave of Dayton Floors came out. This time he suggested that the carpet could be the issue as he said he power stretched the carpet himself. Lowes was contacted with his suggestion and they arranged for an inspector to look at the carpet. As expected, the inspector did not find an issue with the carpet and suggested the carper be re-stretched. Now here is where the real issue starts: Lowes? again contacted Dayton Flooring who now wanted $750 to Re-stretch (Including moving the furniture) when the original install and cost $180 with a $200 Furniture move. We contested these charges as they are about 25% the cost of a new carpet (Installed) and Lowes Solution was to offer $100. Granted, the carpet was just out of install warranty, but we appealed to Lowes management to come over and see how bad the situation was. I asked the Lowes person would they accept the proposal if it were them that faced this issue. After 3 or more appeals that their settlement was unreasonable, they concluded by saying the Issue was between us and the installer. Really? This is the Installer that Lowes arranged with the carpet sale At this point, I just wanted to get it done; but it gets better. Dayton Flooring would not return phone calls. This complaint was passed onto Lowes because I cannot get my carpet fixed if the guy will not return calls. So, to be clear, Lowes said the issue was between me and a guy they arranged ? who will not return calls. Finally I called a local Carpet installer who looked at the issue and suggested the carpet may never have been power stretched. Burrough?s Floors in Williams Bay, WI quoted, and did the work for $300(Including moving the furniture and re-gluing a bad seam they found). No one at Lowes management would call me or come to look at the work they arranged. I really wanted them to picture if this was their own house, if they would be happy with Lowes performance in customer satisfaction. I made one final offer to Lowe?s to cover the $300 in the form of in store credit as we plan more work in our home. I did not ask for money mind you, I asked for credit or discount on future purchases IN THEIR STORE! Their management refused and only said ?we are happy that you found your own solution to the problem?. Since 2010, we spent over $12000 at Lowes in Delavan and they ended our business relationship over $300. I have never complained in writing before, but Lowes can be thanked for changing that. We are making sure every contractor and neighbor planning work in our area hears our story. One of our friends already moved away from Lowes installed carpet after hearing our story. They cancelled and made arrangements with another local company. In conclusion, I would not allow Lowes in Delavan Wisconsin arrange any installation as they walked away and put the responsibility of addressing the situation on the installer they arranged. I would not let Dayton Flooring install any flooring in my home as I believe the workmanship was poor and the customer service was worse.
