Home Pro did a beautiful and professional job and I would recommend them to anyone considering window or door replacement, my whole experience with them was wonderful and stress free from beginning to end. One of my biggest deciding factors in choosing Home Pro other then their spotless record with the BBB and their praise from other customers on Angie's list was the fact that the window installers, John and Nate have been working together installing windows and doors for 20 yrs., I know that other companies use whatever workers are available at the time and sometimes you get experience and sometimes not so much. With Steve at Home Pro there's no guessing you get the same installers everytime which results in experience and quality work. I am a single female which most of us know can be scary sometimes when it comes to purchasing large ticket items, there are some people out there who would take advantage of the situation and think there's no male fiqure around so this one is an easy mark, with Steve, Home Pro owner, I never had that feeling, in fact he went above and beyond to help me out when I was going through a rough spot with my finances. He answered all my questions and explained everything to me clearly so I understood every process of the job, I have never felt so comfortable and confident about my decision to use Home Pro as my contractor, and I would call Steve again if I ever required more of the services he provides.

Although the quality if the windows and siding seemed very good, and the price was competitive with the company I eventually chose, I did not go with this company because they offered slider windows, but these windows did not have the swingout feature that I really wanted. So instead, I got a quote for awning windows, but later decided that I really wanted sliders that had the swingout feature. After I received the email quote, I did not get a follow-up phone call or email.

Steve and his crew were on time. They replaced the windows using lead paint guidelines to keep it out of the rooms. They replaced the siding and caulked inside. The windows look great. So far I feel I got a great job at a great price.

I met with several contractors and window companies to discuss options for replacing my 35 windows that are over 90 years old. They are original to the house, drafty, and many of the rope wights were broken. I originally was interested in replacing with wood windows from Pella or Anderson. However, the additional cost, the extra maintence for wood, having to pay extra to have them stained, (or the time to stain 35 windows myself), the shorter warranty on wood windows, and the softness of the new wood (which are generally pine now and scratch, chip and gouge easily compared to the original 90 year old wood), outweighed the extra perceived benefits, so I started reviewing my options with a wood grain vinyl replacement. One of the companies I met with was HomePro Window and Door. Steve, the owner, has been in the window business for over 20 years and is very knowledgable about his product (Plygem Windows) as well as the industry. Steve was very personable and courteous in our first meeting and was very responsive to my follow up calls and emails and answered all my questions without ever putting on a sales pitch or saying anything bad about other window brands or other window companies like several of the other companies did who quoted my job. Steve's / HomePro's reviews in BBB and yahoo were all excellent. I also was able to visit a show room to see additional windows other than the sample window and received great reviews regarding HomePro's work from the people who own the showroom (Andy at Prolite Building Supply). Additionally, Steve's quote included redoing all the aluminum trim to custom fit into the new windows around my old window sills and siding on the outside - every other company had redoing the aluminum trim as an extra add on. I also did research on Plygem (the window company, formally know as Great Lakes Window) and they've been in business for over 50 years with good reviews as well. When you add all this up, I felt comfortable awarding the job to Steve and HomePro. When the work started, till the day it was completed, Steve was on the job everyday. He also doesn't sub out his work, he uses the same two father and son installers for each job; John and Nate. John and Nate have been installing windows for over 20 years and it shows in the quality of work they do. They did a great job all around. The aluminum trim work and caulking look fantastic. The wood work on my kitchen window they rebuilt looks incredible and matches the design and trim of the other windows perfectly (in the same Craftsman style corners). The jobsite was completely cleaned up every day. There was 0 dust in my house. Each day Steve cleaned up with a swiffer, dust wipes and hepa filter vaccum. My house feels warmer and quiter already, and since I no longer feel those "mystery drafts" when I'm on the couch, I'm also anticipating to see lower energy bills. I've already received a few compliments on how great the new windows look. I'm planning to have Steve, John and Nate do my front and side doors in the next couple of months and I have already referred them to others looking for new windows. You can feel comfortable working with HomePro and Steve, John and Nate. They do quality work at a competitive price and are trustworthy and take great pride in how their work looks.
