 + -1 moreThey did a pretty good job. Some of the cracks re-appeared after he put on the drywall tape. But overall, a lot of it looked just fine.
Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for $249 for a Day of Drywall/Plaster Repair or Textured Wall/ Ceiling Repair. He repaired a wall with the drywall tape.

 + -1 moreHe had to remove a couple of drywall panels and realigned them so that they were against the studs. One technician completed the job and was actually able to finish in about six hours. He was excellent! He was very professional and knew exactly what he was doing. He did a really great job with the work and I would hire them again.

 + -1 moreDan was very professional. He explained what the painters would do and gave me suggestions on paint color. The painters did an excellent job. They patched the walls, covered light fixtures, floors and base boards. They arrived at 8:00 a.m. and finished at 3:00 p.m. They cleaned up everything ( my base boards looked beautiful). I am very happy with the results. I would definitely use them for my next painting project.

 + -1 moreWe had a great experience! Dan (the owner) spent appropriate time walking through our home taking note of the space, how much cutting out would be involved, etc. before preparing the bid. (Some other painters just walked through in 3 minutes.) The painters were excellent. They were prompt, friendly, efficient, and did an excellent job! We had no concerns leaving them in our house while we were not home. They cleaned up at the end of each day and exited through the garage. The painting looks excellent. We are very particular and expect top-notch quality. We were not disappointed! We will be working with this company again soon to paint our lower level.
Description of Work: Painted 2 story foyer and living room, office, dining room, stairs, loft, hallway, master bedroom, kitchen and mudroom, and two additional bedrooms. (About 2,500 square feet)

I had asked for a quote on some other work though and the company never got back to me. I thought the work was fine, but the follow up is not there. The gentleman who came out did a good job.

 + -1 moreThe contractor was incredible. I fully expected that he would do the job, but then tell us it would take more than the day we paid for. There were large water cracked fissures in the 2nd floor bedroom, and down the wall into large cracks in the living room plaster. We got home, and it was completely done, very well, no evidence at all of the damage. It was totally cleaned up and done in under the time I expected.
Description of Work: I bought a 1/2 price for a full day of wall plaster repair service from Groupon.

We decided to go with a different provider that planned on doing two coats of Sherwin Williams Woodscapes stain. Empire's plan called for one coat of primer and one coat of stain.

I would highly recommend Empire Painting to complete any home improvement project that anyone would have. Empire Painting completed the mudding and tapping project in one day and they clearly did not try to nickle and dime me like other contractors have in the past. I was very impressed with the honesty and integrity. Dan showed up on time even with bad weather. He parked so the driveway could continued to be used throughout the day. I feel that it was well worth what I paid for the service. Thank you for doing a wonderful job!

He took about a fifteen minute lunch and worked the entire time he was here. He cleaned up afterwards and was very professional. I would have him back. The young man who did the work was meticulous and worked the entire 8 hours with only a short break for lunch. He painted the high walls and finished painting the living room, foyer and upstairs hallway. We were amazed at how much he accomplished in 8 hours and his work was excellent--no drips or splatters anywhere! We are thrilled with the results and will certainly use their services again as well as recommed them to anyone looking for quality painters.
Description of Work: We purchased a coupon from Angie's list for 8 hours of interior painting by Empire Painting. The normal cost would have been $500, but with the coupon, it cost $250. We wanted to have our living room and front foyer painted, especially the walls that require a 20 ft. ladder to reach. We weren't sure how much work could be done in 8 hours, but the high walls were the priority. We purchased the paint (4 gallons).

They took the time to sand and make sure all the items were done that I requested in 6 different rooms. This was all done in the time I purchased so there were no extra charges. I did ask them for a quote for some painting work but have not heard back from them so not sure if they forgot.
