Empire Painting

I had the best experience with Empire painting and would call them again before looking for anyone else on Angie’s list. They were the best from beginning to end of the project.Polite, professional, and excellent painting. I had a condo I recently purchased from a woman who had smoked. I needed coverage for the odor and to change color in several rooms. Dan arrived for my estimate on time. Suggested an odor blocking primer to use that would help with the smell. He thought I would need a primer and 2 coats for adequate coverage but said he would see if he could do it in one coat. He said they could take off the ceiling and wall lights to paint under those, and would paint over the already painted outlet covers. ( even offered to get new ones for me vs having them painted, which was nice ) I also wanted him to color match and re-stain/polyurethane 2 window sills that had been damaged by the sun. They even managed to paint a high ceiling that was located over stairs, which I found amazing, that they were able to do. He colored matched perfectly a color already painted that I wanted to keep in one room. ( but wanted repainted because of the smoke issue ) The price he quoted was very reasonable. When the painting began, he kept me informed on how the project was going, as I was not able to be there. The paint job was excellent, no paint on the woodwork( which he had taped and covered) the smell was gone and he was able to cover the darker colors in 1 coat, which saved me some money.

Excellent job. Came on time. Taped and painted 2 rooms in a timely fashion. 1/2 gallon paint left over. Painter stated he will come back if touch up was needed. Dan, followed up with how project went.

We hired Dan on the basis of his reviews on Angie's list, and his competitive pricing. Our house has cedar siding, and needed stain. We also have a two-level deck that was in desperate need of refinishing. We couldn't be more pleased with the work done by Dan's crew. They are experienced professionals who obviously take pride in the quality of their work. They were polite and always careful to clean up at the end of the day. The work was finished in a short time, and the quality is remarkable. We strongly recommend Empire to anyone looking for exterior paint work. We'll definitely call Dan when we need painting done in the future.

They were easy to work with and very efficient at completing the job. The siding was painted a different color that the other parts of the job which resulted in additional masking and taping before they could start painting. Estimates I received from other well known painters in the Milwaukee metro area were usually a $1000.00 higher for the same job. They completed the work on time and they used quality Sherwin Williams paint.

I would give them all A's. It had to be postponed until this year. The young man they sent out was very professional in appearance and in what they did. He knew I wasn't going to be there. I explained exactly what I wanted done and he did exactly those things. He cleaned up after himself. Everything was done in a timely and professional manner.

Excellent job with all of the above, reasonable price. Hard-working crew, on-site crew boss did an excellent job, even with lousy weather, sometimes quite hot and humid.

How did it go? Empire Painting was awesome! The bent over backwards to be able to schedule the job when we wanted it done. They were professional yet friendly in all our communications, consistently working to meet our needs. They arrived on time, were friendly, and covered all surfaces to insure they protected. Dan (owner) stopped by to check on how it was going and to insure our satisfaction. I couldn't have asked for more! I would not hesitate to hire them again or to recommend them.

Excellent. They were curtious and timely. The main part of work was done in three days, with small flollowups taking about a week. owner, Danial Brooks was very professional both when giving the quote and when work was done. He floowed up to amke sure everything was done to my satisfaction.

Every single worker who came was polite, cheerful, and hard working. Daniel (the owner) keeps track of each step of the way. He constantly kept us updated with what work would be done and when. He also always follows up as each part was completed as to whether or not we were satisfied. He also checks on the quality of the work himself. Empire Painting is really an outstanding company. The service is excellent and so is the quality of the work done.

Dan did a nice job. Some of the work he did needed retouching due to puckering of the tape, etc after settling. Dan came back without issue or additional cost and was pleasant and prompt to work with over email.

We used Empire last fall to paint all of our exterior trim. Dan's quote was $500 less than another company I also found on Angie's List. I don't know a lot about exterior painting and materials, and after we had the quotes I reviewed them with someone I met at work who was a painter, and he recommended using the products Dan recommended over the "other guy." So it was a better value and better products for our specific job. They completed the job quickly and cleaned up well- never knew they were here. The cost listed may seem like a lot but we have a pretty big 2 story house. Overall they did a great job and I will be contacting them soon for interior work.

Enid came (on time) and did a fantastic job both on the painting and the clean-up. He was friendly, professional and went beyond what we had expected. We will definitely be using Empire and Enid again for some future paint work.

Jeff, the technician, did an excellent job in the time we contracted for. He was professional, helpful and thorough. We will definitely be using Empire again for our home projects.

It turned out really nice and he did a good job although when he came, he didn't know what it was for. He thought it was for painting and I thought that was kind of odd. He was very quick and very pleasant. I would recommend them. We got a good deal.

Went well, the only issue was that we were not given clarification of the details of the day the work was to be done, I had to contact them to get the details. Other than that, they were prompt, clean, efficient and very professional. The room looked great when they were done!

I'd highly recommend Empire Painting. Dan, the owner, was very responsive and flexible. I originally contracted for them to remove wallpaper but after doing some of it myself realized I could make better use of them to do the underlying wall repair. I sent him pictures and he always responded in a timely fashion with suggestions of what I should do and what they could do. Jeff (sorry if I have the name wrong) was extremely prompt, covered everything properly and did a wonderful job on the walls/ceiling. Now I just have to finish painting the room - the hours and hours of prep work are done. I really appreciate Dan and Jeff's flexibility and understanding. I will definitely call on them again if I get around to the next project before we sell the house!

They were A+. They came out on New Year?s Eve. They painted all day, working non-stop. He worked 7 hours straight, taking no breaks. My mother was crying he did so well. We thought that he would only be doing one room, but he ended up painting the whole house!

Really great experience. We had a lot going on and had to postpone and Dan was really flexible. My emails were returned quickly which I appreciated. Many companies restrict what they will do with an Angie's List deal i.e. they won't paint woodwork but Enid, Dan's painter was friendly, professional and happy to paint anything I asked him to. His work was excellent, he took his time to prep the area first, and didn't mind my dogs checking his work! While the paint was drying he asked me if there was any other area that needed something so he patched a couple areas in our bathroom. When he finished the job he cleaned everything up thoroughly. We will absolutely use Empire again.

Empire was outstanding. It is obvious why he is highly rated. Setting up an appointment was easy, and he actually showed up unlike one of the OTHER "A" rated companies! I called him in late August at the end of the busy painting season, and even though he was really booked, he said he thought he could fit me in!! He came on time on the weekend, and sent me a quote within a few days. One of the other contractors ( Alba) stood me up THREE TIMES. A second "A" rated contractor was "pretending" my paint was probably lead based,.......and was setting me up for a really expensive environmental project. Keep in mind that the addition he was painting was built in 2002. The third "A" rated contractor I called was too busy. Daniel Brooks said he could do the job September 22nd 2014, so I said I would like to hire him, and asked what deposit he would like to hold my position in his work cue. He said nothing,......just return the signed contract and we would be good. To my amazement, ON THE EXACT DAY he predicted three weeks prior, he has a crew show up and started the job! How often does that happen! My home is 21 steps up above the street level sidewalk grade. It was not an easy job carrying everything they needed for painting up & down 21 steps to my yard all day long. The crew was neat, and tramped the flowers and shrubs WAY LESS THAN ME AND MY WIFE WOULD OF. They cleaned up all the paint chips after pressure washing the next day after things dried out. Daniel took my calls, and returned them when I had to leave a message. I added some work last minute when his crew arrived, and he was able to do it for a very reasonable amount. This company was relaxing to work with,......and I felt Daniel cared about my project. Thank you Empire.

Jeff was wonderful. This was the best Christmas present I could give myself as I'm trying to get my home ready for sale. He was very helpful, kind and gave me some great tips for painting other places in the house. I was trying to paint the front door red over black which wasn't working out. Jeff suggested I get gray primer and then paint the red. I'm in process of doing now and it's finally working after putting on four coats of red over the black. Also, the scheduler moved some things around so I could get my job in before Christmas. I will definitely use this company again and would love to have Jeff back. Very clean, precise, and made sure my new floor was not dripped upon.

The painter scraped, primed, and painted trim on the 2 store portion of the house. He also stained the siding on that portion of the house. I am not comfortable on a ladder that high up, so I hired the painter for a day special to take care of the high portions. He also finished the trim on the other side of the house to fill out the day. I painted all of the other areas that I was comfortable with. I supplied the paint. Empire Painting will be the first service I will call when I have another project. I was completely satisfied.

Communication with Empire has been excellent. Daniel walked through ocndo and was very helpful and knowledgable.
