After several delays (due to staff turnover per the provider), the chimney got cleaned today. I had been annoyed about the delays, but I have to say the service provided was excellent, and Jayson (owner) came out personally. He spent the time to explain fully everything. would use them again.

The service was easy to schedule and the provider was prompt & professional. He provided helpful information about maintenance and safety. I would definitely recommend this provider.

I waited several weeks and didn't hear from them. I finally called & apparently the person didn't tell the owner & my job fell thru the cracks.

Arrived on time, was polite and professional. Gave us some good tips and advice on how to use and maintain the gas fireplace.

He did an excellent job in replacing the concrete along two sets of steps where the concrete had split into many pieces and caulked two large cracks to allow the concrete to breathe and flex in the weather.

On time, kept us informed, recommended repairs with reasoning to why the repairs and recommended caps to decrease future issues.

They said that the chimney was very clean and didn't need to be cleaned. It appeared to not have been used much. We had just moved into the condo and so we didn't know what condition the fireplace was in.

That went fine. The only issue that I had was that the gentleman said that we it did not need to be replaced right away. We had wait a little longer. It was fine. The fellow would go out every now and then and come back out. He thought we could wait for a while without replacing the piece. He was a really nice guy, it was just the fact that we should have asked him if its okay and maybe we didn't have to worry about the fireplace going in and out.

He was informative and knowledgeable. He cleaned and inspected the gas fireplace. He did a great job.

I had used it for 11 years. There were several things wrong with brim. The glass had to be replaced at the front. They did a good job, came on time, communicated with us on everything. They were top notch and I brought them back.

It went great and will use them again.

The service was good. They did a good job. There were no additional charges to the $99 Big Deal. The services were good. They did exactly what I expected. They did not find anything wrong. It was just dirty. It just needed to be cleaned. They came in and showed me how to take it apart and how to do a little bit of cleaning myself on it to keep it clean between annual tune-ups. That was nice. I thought the service was good from top to bottom. He was definitely on time.

I was very happy with the service that I received from Travis and Dustin at Fox Chimney Service LLC. I spoke with the owner (Jayson) before I purchased the "Big Deal" from Angie's List. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and that was the reason that I decided to purchase the deal and I'm really glad that I did. Because of the problem with the on/off switch as mentioned above, they recommended that I purchase a "thermostatically operated remote control," which I did. The total cost was $200. I am very happy with the remote, since it is so much easier to use than the switch. Travis and Dustin had everything done in about an hour. Those 2 guys were great--helpful, knowledgeable, courteous (they even removed their wet boots before entering my living room--I didn't even have to ask them to do so), and had such a "can do" attitude that really worked for me! I would definitely use Fox Chimney Service again if I need to have my unit serviced in the future.

Went well, nice job. Technicians were friendly, arrived on time, cleaned my gas insert fireplace without making a mess (they brought their own drop cloth, took off their shoes, etc). Answered my questions on how to restart the pilot. Happy with the service.

Went very well. Arrived early, explained what they would do and asked if we had any questions before starting. They were very friendly and professional during the complete time. Appreciated that they removed their shoes and cleanup up before leaving. They informed us that there was a part that was not working to full capacity and when asked if they could replace it while they were here they were happy to do it. The cost to clean and inspect our gas fireplace was $99 + $150 for the new part. We are very pleased and now our fireplace warms our entire house.

It turned out well. It cost me more. Took two to three weeks before we got our schedules coordinated. The new gas insert cost me somewhere around twelve hundred I think. They arrived when they said they were going to arrive because there ended up being two trips. They were very diligent about there cleanliness in the home and not making a mess. Overall did a good job of inspecting the fireplaces and performing the work that was agreed upon.

The entire process went smooth. After purchasing the tune up, I was shortly contacted by the provider and we exchanged a few emails to set up the date. He was quick to respond to all my emails which was so nice to see. On the day of service, he showed up on time. Very professional. Took his shoes off as he entered the house and he immediately went to work. We discussed the option of putting in a remote starter and he was able to install one that day. Nothing better than simplicity when starting the fireplace. He cleaned up after himself and explained everything he did, everything we would want to watch for, and gave me recommendations as far as future requirements. Great service all around

We did not know how to use our gas fireplace so we needed it checked and learn how to use it. Great job

The service was great. It was fabulous. It was just what I needed. When I went to turn on my gas fireplace in the fall, it would light, but it would not continue lighting. So, I called the place I usually use and they could not get me in for two months. The next day, the Angie’s List ad popped up on my screen. I thought that they could do it for me. So, I called them and they said that they would be able to service it at the same time when they cleaned it. So, it was just what I needed. There were no unexpected issues. When he cleaned it out, it unclogged whatever was clogged and it worked fine for the rest of the season. I am pretty sure he was here on time. I would use him again in the future. I think I will switch to him for my service.

The technician called to see if he could come earlier than the appointment time because he was ahead of schedule. He immediately identified the problem (a partially stuck flue) and showed us how to check on this in the future. Also, inspected the chimney and cleaned the logs and gas jets.
