We had Fox Chimney Service install a gas log at our last condo, too, so selecting them for installation of a gas log at our new condo was a no brainer. Jason's work was flawless, start to finish. I'd recommend Fox Chimney Service in a New York minute to anyone looking for great service w/ reasonable pricing.

Excellent. Very punctual and neat. All work completed satisfactorily and timely.

They showed up early after calling ahead to get permission to do so. They did an excellent job and gave us a comprehensive report on what the had done and the condition of our chimney. They showed me a photo of the chimney cap that was rusted and needs replacement. I plan to have them do this soon. I highly recommend them.

Although it took a week or two to hear from them (there had been some glitches in the on line communication system apparently), they responded promptly when I called. The technician arrived right on time. He explained what he was doing-did a thorough check up. I was very pleased with the service and will definitely use them again.

The fireplace still has a leak and they never followed up on service.

The first technician said I needed a new piece of glass because the seal had gaps, so I ordered it (several hundred dollars). Once I got that, they came back and a different technician looked at the glass and it was the same as the glass I was replacing, same seal situation. He thought that was odd so called and found out that my particular fireplace used that type of glass with that type of seal. I didn't need to replace the glass after all. He apologized for the previous technician's confusion in thinking the glass was faulty, he fixed up the fireplace, fixed the fan switch, and offered to return the glass to where I got it so I wouldn't have to make a special trip. So at first the experience was odd, but the second technician took really good care of me. So overall I decided to give a good rating because they did the right thing and delivered good service.

I bought the house recently and don't think the gas fireplace was ever cleaned. It is beautiful now and technician showed me how to operate it more efficiently.

There was a delay, but he told me that they were backed up. Once they started work, there wasn't anymore delays. It went very well. They were good about getting back to me set up a date for the chimney.

Cleaned out a lot of dead bugs. Recommended leaving pilot light on to keep bugs out of the fireplace.. Quickly found loose wire connect which seems to be design problem with igniter operation. Service personnel showed me which connection to check if problems reoccur. Very happy with the service.

The service included a good cleaning of the glass and a replacement of the wall switch. Fireplace starts right away now and looks much better.

Very well. Our gas fireplace is 20+ years old and didn't seem to work anymore. It was little more than a decoration until Fox came. After a thorough cleaning and diagnostic, we had a cheery fire going. The whole visit only took about an hour.

I never heard from the service man, despite two e-mails

They were very nice, kept the living room clean and showed us how to use the fireplace and remote. They were very throughout and it didn't even take very long! Excellent company!

It went great! I called after I signed-up for the Angie's deal/coupon and let them know I had an additional gas stove/fireplace that I wanted tuned-up as well and they offered to do that at reasonable rate. I believe the technician's name was Rich and we was outstanding. He took his time and cleaned out both of our fireplaces.... one was very dirty due to rust. We have one in our basement and I like to turn off the pilot lights during the summer. The tech explained to me that he understood, but due to the fireplace being in the basement where it's more humid, it was rusting the inside of the fireplace out. He advised that I keep the pilot light on during the summer which would help with the humidity and slow the rusting process. So I will do that from now on. I had a great experience and we will rely on them for further routine maintenance or if I have any unexpected issues! After he tuned-them-up they both looked brand new! One happy customer. Thank you!

Jayson figured out the problem, ordered the part and installed it. He was easy to work with.

The service people were very careful to leave the area neat and clean. They took the time to explain in detail why our fireplace kept cutting out. They were able order replacement parts and schedule a follow up visit within 1 hour of leaving our house.

There isn't much to describe here--Jayson Fox and his associate were able to come a bit early, so they called ahead to get the OK. Once they were here, the tarps came out to keep the floor clean, and they had the fireplace polished/vacuumed (underneath) in no time. They were very quick and thorough. I appreciate Jayson taking the time to show me about how to operate and maintain the fireplace. This is a new creature to me, and with gas appliances, let's just say I am cautious. My only complaint about the fireplace is that it was too hot...only to find that there was an easily-identifiable adjustment dial under the fireplace. Jayson kindly showed me where it was without making me feel like the big dope that I actually was: I had looked under the fireplace several times, but somehow the dial marked with "hi" and "lo" had never registered with me. If you want prompt, efficient and friendly service, I would recommend this provider.

Parts were replaced in a tight space. Very satisfied with the result and future guidance!

Installation day came and 2 servicemen arrived. They spent a couple of hours and then were ready to leave. I asked about the fan as I could not hear it. They responded that it took time for it to come on, but it was now working. 5 hours later and still no fan. So we called them and they sent someone out the next day. I had to take off another day of work. The fan was hooked up to the wrong outlet and was not receiving electricity. So I would assume it never was on and and the first two servicemen just left it as it was, not working. One of them kept telling me that he needed to get home as he had a long drive.

Fox was great! Showed up exactly on time, cleaned and serviced as contracted and were very careful about keeping the home clean. Very good company!

The chimney inspection went great. The guys that showed up were right on time, personable, and they were quick. They told me we had several cracked tiles and that we needed repairs to the chimney before it would be safe to use. I was told to expect an estimate within a day or so. That was almost 3 weeks ago. I have called at least 8 times since then and left at least 3 voice mails. Twice I talked to someone on the phone. I still have no estimate, and no one has ever actually returned a call or emailed an estimate. I have had to move on to another company - I wish I hadn't wasted 3 weeks waiting for a bid, and I would have had another company come for a bid so I didn't waste $129 on this inspection.
